Wish I had read all these reviews before I ordered a game camera. Tried to return the item because apparently you can't use Model# STC-CNCTX2 (Connect Max cellular Trail Camera) without having to download the app and entering credit card info...?! I ordered the camera because it was on sale and I thought that I could just use it without having to pay for a subscription.... and maybe you can just let it sit there and take photos and then just upload via SD card..... but the problem is that this camera has no functionality within the camera itself. You have to download the app and enter CC info in order to change/see the settings and make changes to the camera! So here I am trying to return and was on hold with service reps with broken English... the ones who pronounce my name Adam as AyyyDum.. (SMH). After about seven days, I stopped receiving pictures on my game camera. I went out to see what was going on and found the solar battery. Box was full of water and battery acid everywhere. Sent a warranty claim to GSM outdoors and haven't heard anything for a couple of weeks. Sent a follow up email to customer service to ask if they had even received my warranty claim and it's going on two weeks and haven't heard anything from them. I sent my $225 knife in to be sharpened in June of 2025. As of this date 1/05/2026, I have sent 4 emails via their site contact page, none of which have been answered. I have also called 5 times and verified the knife was received and was promised a callback. The call backs never came. The worst experience ever as I purchased 3 box blinds from TSC for $8,000 dollars. Upon inspection at my home after pickup I found 4 window closures (Small plastic pieces that you turn to hold the window closed missing/broke off). Called customer service the next day which is offshore and have no product knowledge to ask for replacement and I would replace myself. Sent proof of purchase, pictures of issue, pictures of warranty card (one day after purchase)! They wanted serial numbers from each blind nowhere to be found! Did I say they have no clue of products? Purchased Restrictor Ear Pro and when i received them i put them on charge. The charging station registered full charge to which the left one did not. I have been fighting with them for replacement or refund for right at 2 months. Called the call center and you cant understand them and they make you feel like your trying to get over on them. I purchased the Muddy 36 MP Matric Dual Network Cellular Trail Camera in November 2024. I gave it to my husband as a Christmas present. After the Holiday craziness he finally opened and put the camera to use at the end of January. In less than a week it stopped working. I have been going back and forth dozens of times with GSM Outdoors customer service since February 6th and still do not have a resolution. They currently have had my camera for 2 weeks and still have not given me an update on sending me a replacement camera. To top it all off I had to pay the return shipping on this faulty camera. GSM has numerous outdoor brands. I am specifically commenting on "Cold Steel" knives. Below is the text from a complaint I filed with the BBB. If you go to the BBB website and look them up, you'll see that GSM has an "F" rating. On December 24, 2024, GSM (Cold Steel) received two of my knives for them to sharpen. Same model. Model-AMERICAN LAWMAN (S35VN). Today is May 14, 2025, they have not returned my knives. -I have called numerous times. I always get a call center in India. I asked to be transferred to someone in the USA. They tell me they can't do that. They tell me they're going to "look into it" and that someone will "call me back". NO ONE EVER CALLS ME BACK! I used their on-line "contact us" form to send them an e-mail. It took them over a MONTH to reply to me and tell me "they're looking into it". This the worst customer service I have ever seen. I was recently asked to write a review after purchasing my Muddy game cameras the following is the review I sent back to them. Muddy sent me an email back stating my review did not meet there specifications and could not be posted. I guess they only post good reviews. I have since figured out that GSM Outdoors is the organization that I was directed to send my product back to so i figured I would post my review here. Also, I have still not resolved the issues. Every time I call them some overseas tells me they have received my return but can't process the Fedex label to ship my cameras back to me. Each call they tell me I will have an email from Fedex on Friday. That has been every Friday for the past 3 weeks. The following is the review I tried to post on Muddy. Muddy Customer Service is awful I ordered 4 new Muddy Cameras back in late July. I received them early August. 3 of the 4 cameras did not work. I called Muddy and the first representative tild me to buy new SD cards. After i spent additional money on that the cameras still did not work so i called Muddy back. The second representative immediately told me i needed to send them back for news cameras to be sent out and was going to create a shipping ticket with Fed-ex. I waited 2 days for the email and called them back. The third representative kept me on the phone for 35 minutes before he finally got an email out to me with the fedex packing slip. I mailed the cameras back to them on August 18th. I waited until Sept 4th and called to check status. After spending over an hour on the phone with 2 different representatives they told me they had finally found where they received the cameras in their warehouse on August 20th, 2 days after i shipped them. So now that they know they are there they would be sending me a fedex number in the next 7 to 10 days. Then i will have to wait for shipping. Needless to say i am not happy with my purchase from Muddy. I have used Muddy cameras for years and this is the first time i have ever had an issue so i can completely forgive that but, once you have an issue with there product there customer service is crap!! In all my calls english was every representative's second language. Their call center is over seas with limited information and are apparently reacing out to the warehouse in the US to find information. If your gonna buy a muddy product i recommend buying from a retal store so you can simply take it back. Muddy has lost my future business and i hope they dont get your's either. read more

I purchase a SOG knife that stopped locking when it was extended. SOG claims a lifetime warranty. I guess that they are hoping you don't live that long. Call three times about returning. I sent photos as was requested. and spent around hour on hold/speaking to a representative. I was told three times that I would receive an email that day on sending my knife back, and that they do not repair knives, rather replace them. I have not heard anything. Lifetime warranty sounds good until you have to use it. SOG Knives were good till they were sold. RUN from GSM or SOG. Very disappointing. Purchased two Boss Buck 300 pound feeders from Sportsman Guide in June 2024. These both stopped working in early October 2024. Contacted Sportsman Guide who directed me to GSM Outdoors. Was told on Oct 16 that these would be replaced with another feeder due to the Boss Buck 300 not being in stock. Have followed up weekly and then daily with customer service. Total waste of time. Offshore CS is horrible and as of today 11/15/2024 I still have no resolution. My suggestion, don't purchase anything from GSM unless you want to have a large metal box that won't work and they won't replace. Also, US based support for this company would be a big recommendation. People who barely speak English and are located in the Philippians don't care that your product is broken. read more

Not sure what everyone else is talking about. I had a product a few days out of warranty. Although on my original call I didn't have the receipt so I wasn't sure. My first call I was on hold for about 12 minutes. It's peak season. I expect it. I explained my problem. I broke a bracket. It's a study bracket I'm just really strong. Well I was heavier at the time and leaned on it too hard. The women that answers was awesome. My replacement part was out of stock. She talked me though other options which I was not able to take advantage of due to a trip coming up. Then 10 minutes after I hug up I found my receipt. I called back. I got Conner after about 10 minutes. I only had a another 7 minutes until my next meeting. I was about 10 days past the warranty. Well in 5 minutes I had an email with my RMA and instructions on how to get my warranty replacement and a wish of luck on my trip. Customer service and get product. Customer for life. read more

Muddy 360 camera sucks. I got on the wait list for the Maneuver Cellular Trail Camera in Feb 2025. I was able to purchase it for $99.99 and another $13 for Shipping. I put it out in my food plot, it poured rain (as it does in spring here) and the SD card got wet, the Batteries are soaked and the lens has water on it. Nothing but foggy pictures and it's been inside for 3 weeks and it's still all wet inside. I called GSM outdoors and the lady said "no refund as it's been longer than 30 days" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Purchased the Chaos Knife made in China with what seems to be no standards for safety. The sheath is made overly tight and the knife doesn't slide out. Have to muscle it out with force. In doing this? The knife sliced the topside of my right index finger causing me to have emergency tendon surgery. Call to escalate but no supervisor level person calls anyone back. Did speak to Josh one day after contacting Midway USA. He stated he would escalate the issue and I could expect a return call. Nothing. Each time I talk to a customer service rep., it's a new person. They claim they can't get a hold of or no way to talk to the same customer service rep I've been working with. It has been over 6 weeks since initially contacting them. The latest response, it was released to ship 2 working days ago, we are waiting for FedEx to come pick it up. Sounds like the customer service is outsourced to India. Very discourageing when I've been contacting them just about every other day. They have absolutely no follow up. I'm at a loss, they have great cams and a nice app to use them. I bought 4 cams for my hunting camp in the Poconos. Set them all up easily, far better than my last cel cams. Went to add a 5th cam and it doesn't fully engage with the app. It show I set up an account, it bills me but I can't get the app to function with that particular cam. I've called customer service 4 times during their business hours. Each time I was on "sales pitch on hold" for times ranging from 30 minutes to over an hour, no one ever picked up. I wrote an email and after 5 days haven't heard back on that medium either. How do you get any customer service?? This is an update to my 11/30/2023 review. I still had not received the additional camera they promised and promo codes for data plans as of 12/20/2023. I decided to try one more time. When I called they said I would get a return call. Since I had already been down that road I figured just another way to get me off the line. Well, I was wrong. I received a call the next day from an Agent named Jason. He was very understanding and apologetic for what I had been thru. He immediately did what he could internally to rectify the situation. Well, I see from other Yelp reviews that that I am not the only one having issues with GSM Outdoors Customer Service! First, I recommend you don't purchase anything from this company or its affiliates. I purchased a game camera which did not work. I contacted "Customer Service" (and I use that term loosely) and was hung-up on and transferred no less than 5 times. Their customer service process is so convoluted it's ridiculous. "I'm sorry sir you reached the cellular game camera section, you need to talk to the regular game camera people." (transfer) "I'm sorry sir, that's a software issue" (transfer and disconnected). Their CS Agents don't even know their own product line and could not even answer simple questions about their products. I am pretty sure they are just working from home and have little training about the products beyond pleasant conversation. At one point I was transferred and waited on hold (which by the way tries to get you to hand up every minute with a promise they will call you back) I could hear the agent pick up the phone, but refused to speak and then immediately transferred me to their automated satisfaction system. Needless to say they got a similar poor review! Finally, I was able to get them to provide a RMA number for a return with a request that I email them when it was shipped. I did and provided a tracking number. It was delivered, but I received no email stating it was received or any indication they received the item or shipped a replacement. I have sent several emails requesting an update, shipping information, or a tracking number and have received no response. All this will sound familiar if you read the other reviews. By the way, all the people I spoke to were very nice... which makes me wonder if these positive reviewers actually waited to see if they received their replacement items or if GSM fulfilled their promises. My recommendation is that you avoid all their products unless you want a similar experience! Absolute trash. I have been a die hard bow hunter for 20 years and tried to give apex sights a try mainly because the bow shop I used was pushing them at that time. I called to buy replacement yardage tapes for a $160 sight that's less than 3 years old due to not being able to find them anywhere online and was told they no longer make the sight and no longer have yardage tapes for the sight. Therefore the customer service rep told me they would replace the sight since it was on their end. After no response from the customer service rep following the email he told me I would be able to return and exchange, I called the company back to be told I was out of luck and there was nothing they would do. The whole process took a few weeks to finally get an answer even after expressing bow season starts here in a few weeks. I've used numerous products this company carries in the past and they have mainly been junk and stopped working after a year or so.
