These were my go-to shoes for all day walking and I did not want to chance getting blisters with a new pair at the start of a month long vacay. I dropped them off on a Monday and they were ready for pickup on the Friday morning. The best part is they fixed the mangled strap so impeccably that it was only noticeable if you had the shoe in front of your face to look for it and more importantly, it was just as comfortable as before! I was very concerned on this since it was the leather strap that goes around the back of the heel but it felt perfect and at the end of my trip it was still as if nothing had happened. The chairs have corded trim that runs along the entire wooden frame of the chair, both front and back sides. The corded trim was hot glued on with many sections of "purple" hot glue seen running along the fabric of the chair as well as on the wooden frame. I pointed this out to him and he just shrugged. It took me hours to try to remove the hot glue with solvent, having to be especially careful around the wood frame so as not to remove the finish. Once I got them home and could really look them over, I saw how poorly done the seat cushions were...the fabric does not lay smoothly across the seat and the cording is unevenly sewn on. On both chairs, the small fabric pads on the top part of the wood arm rests look terrible! I'm embarrassed to have people sit in them as they can especially see the poor quality workmanship done on these arm rests. There were also several visible staples used to attach the cording on some sections that I removed. Also, I had to make two trips to pick them up as one had what looked like black grease on sections of the chair and it had to be redone. I asked him if he could remove the visible purple hot glue while redoing the chair which he did not do. He may do well covering some items as I read in the reviews but for me, the quality absolutely is not there when it comes to a more detailed accent chair. I had some tears in my car's leather seats so I had this company perform the repairs. Fransisco comes to your house, picks up the seat cushions (he takes them out himself) and then returns them and reinstalls them. First the pros: the repairs are like it never even happened (see attached photos). It is convenient that he comes to your house, you don't have to take it to a shop. Fransisco is very reasonable with price and is very easy to work with. Cons: He was late in when he came to pick up the seats. The window was 11-3 and he showed up at 4. Had I known he was running late I would've been able to do some things as opposed to waiting at the house for him. When he did show up he couldn't take one of my seats because his van was too full, so he had to come back the following day anyway. When removing a seat Fransico broke a bracket cover, but was very ok with deducting the replacement cost ($20) from the bill. He also flipped a bolt around with the seat belt, causing the belt to twist and be uncomfortable to use. He fixed all these things, but it would have been nice if they hadn't needed fixing in the first place. Thus the deduction of a star.

I had worn blue jeans for all of that time watching TV. The one area had turned blue and the leather was worn out. As a stop gap measure I hired Armando prior to guests arriving to improve that area, I was embarrassed by the shoddy look. Armando and his son gave me a quote to not only repair the area but replace every piece of foam in the couch and repair broken zippers for the cushions. After a full day of work by Armando and his son I was amazed that my huge sectional couch looked like it did the day that I had purchased it. He saved me a fortune and I still have the couch that our family loves without having to find something that is similar. Last week a large fossil fell off my wall and damaged the couch. Obviously , I was not happy about losing the fossil or damaging my loved couch. Armando and his son instantly came over and rescued the couch and gave me a referral to rehabilitate my oak floor. I dropped them off and was given a pick up ticket. The woman who worked there gave me a ticket and said I might want to take a picture of it because it often gets lost. And having that ticket number is the only way to retrieve your item at pick-up. So glad I did because I couldn't find it when I went to pick them up! The woman looked over the boots and said the cost would depend on how much gluing was needed. Fair enough. Once the "promised by" date arrived, I went to pick up the repaired boots. The cost and time needed for repair was reasonable. The repair took place back in December, and they are still holding up, so they did a great job! I would definitely use Michael's Boot & Shoe Repair again if the need arises.
