Ricardo told me he was coming to finish on FIVE different occasions and he never showed up, never called back, never returned text messages, and I finally called the number on Yelp and got a hold of some lady (I think Ricardo's wife), and she sent some OTHER workers who hadn't installed pavers before and this long, drawn-out project became even worse. I had to settle on midicore work. THEN, Ricardo wanted me to pay the full amount event though I said let's forgo the synthetic grass, plus he didn't finish putting the pavers where they were supposed to go, AND had the guts to say that I "pressured" him to return to finish the work and I just wanted to pay a small amount. Somehow he turned it into my issue, plus another worker wasn't going to get paid from Ricardo, so then that guy is calling an texting me - TOTAL MESS. Most likely the bushes will never recover. In the event they do, it will take years of growth to cover the gaping holes. Not only was it a mistake to jump so far over the property line (15' - 25') it is clear from the results of their work they had no idea what they were doing. Viewed from the street it is a real eye sore. To add insult to injury, they didn't even cleanup the clippings.

They were friendly, but looked either (a) just old and tired or (b) like meth heads... but against my better judgment, the amount of work they claimed they would do for a pretty good price was hard to say "no" to. Well, to summarize - they actually did a pretty decent job... on the things they finished. But the problems were a long, long list: - incredibly slow to essentially do a "one time job" on tree, shrub, and lawn cleanup. Took close to two weeks for something that should have been 1-2 days at most for professionals (as I've since learned). - They would frequently show up late, work for a few hours, and leave. In-between, they would often sit in their truck for a long, long time, I can only imagine it involved using... things... they shoulldn't. - I would find weird things in my trash can, like tubs of ice cream in the middle of the day, probably because they were missing so many teeth from (well, just guess). - They left their tools scattered about each day. - They asked for an advance because (insert ridiculous story here) was happening. - One of the larger, key things we agreed (for $500) was to prune back my apple tree, which they never did. They ended up saying we shouldn't do it in the summer and should wait a month or so for fall when they'd come back (of course, never heard from them again).
