I talked to multiple contractors - some who just didn't call back, a few who said they couldn't (wouldn't) build the fence I wanted, and frankly, a few that I just didn't like. Gerardo showed up, chatted with me about what I wanted, took measurements, and gave me a bid on the spot. I was moving into a house I was rehabbing and needed a portion of this fence done right away because I have a dog and he hustled to not only build the new portion I needed, but went out of his way to do some repairs on the existing fence to keep my dog safe and secure. He and the people working for him showed a lot of attention to detail, checked in with me often about the project to make sure it was coming along and looking as I expected, and every day at the end of the day the work site was clean and organized. I'm planning some plant installations and a new deck and Gerard's Landscaping is going to be my first call!

The number of red flags in 1 message exchange. First of all, if you are in the field don't respond to the message or hire someone who can do it without getting upset that their customer do not know what they need.

We had called up 5 companies and all got different bids. Jay was able to match the price we had and give us a few arborvitae to get us to choose his company. His team was very respectful and worked efficiently; the quality of work they did was really great. The work we got done was not small either but they finished in very realistic and quick timeline. Excavation, retention wall, paver patio, stairs, turf, and gravel were done by their team and they even leveled the gravel so I could place my raised garden bed on it. So rare these days to get this type of professional estimate. He scheduled the job for Wednesday. On Wednesday morning, a palette of sod delivered as expected. Crew showed up at 8:00 am and started to work. All work completed and premise perfectly cleaned up by 12:30pm. Wow!! It was the best and smoothest contractor transaction I've ever experienced. In this day and age when there are so many ill willed contractors who are just trying to take advantage of vulnerable home owners, Darrin and his team was truly a breath of fresh air. GoGreen Landscaping just completed a complete yard cleanup for our home. We have many trees…read more(cottonwood) nearby and so there was a lot of debris. The shrubs were all very overgrown and beds needed weeding. Basically, I had really let the yard go this year! I can't say enough about what an amazing job they did! My yard looks beautiful! Not only did they do the basic stuff (debris/leave cleanup, edging, mowing, weeds), but they also trimmed/pruned all the shrubs and trees 6' and under. WOW! I'm so pleased with the cleanup project, I've scheduled them to come biweekly to keep it looking great. This company is in demand, especially this time of year, and so it took a few weeks to get scheduled and quoted and started with my project (it was a big cleanup job), but worth it! Jesus, the owner, communicates very clearly and quickly and so you know just when they will be able to do the work and what the cost will be, he is very responsive and treats his employees right. They are reasonably priced - and the work they do is very detailed and thorough. The team that did the work were on-time, friendly, thorough, and worked hard but efficiently! Here are the key issues that surfaced during my project: Quality of Work - The cleanup and restoration work did not meet the promised standards. Despite assurances of thoroughness, some bed areas were left uncleared, with debris and weeds remaining. Additionally, items like edging and pruning that were included in the scope of services were not performed at all. Beyond the dethatching, the lawn restoration work yielded a lackluster result. Customer Communication - Written communications with GoGreen were very frustrating. After pointing out the issues that I had with the work performed, GoGreen accused me of overwatering the new seed, planning to never pay in full, and finally of having unrealistic expectations. The issue was exacerbated after I partially paid the invoice for the cleanup work while waiting for improvements in the new lawn. After receiving some angry, defensive responses, I informed GoGreen they were no longer welcome at my home. I attempted to settle the balance by offering to pay for materials and dethatching since I now need to fix the issues myself or hire another company. I then received another email threatening me with a lien on my property if I didn't pay in full. This response felt heavy-handed and added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating experience. Despite my obvious displeasure with the outcome, I paid the outstanding balance in full. Conclusion - I'm sure after reading this review, GoGreen will write a response blaming me for the outcome. Nothing GoGreen responds with will take away the fact that I wrote this review because GoGreen failed to deliver what was promised in the original scope of work. So, if you have unlimited financial resources and have extremely low expectations regarding the outcomes of your home projects, then GoGreen might be for you. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere for landscaping services.

I have owed Nick a review for too long for the beautiful custom backyard he built for us in the…read moresummer of 2022, so here it is. Previously we were not using our backyard too often - we had huge leyland cypresses along our fenceline that absolutely choked any sunlight out of the backyard. We had moss everywhere, grass that struggled to grow in the shade and grew patchy, and some large magnolia trees that would constantly get damaged by the winter snows. We love being outdoors and spending time in our backyard, but wanted to upgrade the space. We worked with Nick to create a custom plan and redesign our backyard from the ground up, including a covered patio area with BBQ grill and flat top, mini fridge, and a beautiful stone fireplace. Nick's team wrapped the columns of the patio cover with stone, and laid it all out on a bluestone paved patio. He was also able to accommodate a hot tub, and finished it all off with lovely landscaping and plants. We even added a shed and wired it up as an extra entertainment room. Throughout the whole process Nick was patient and accommodating, and was flexible as we encountered problems or changes that needed to be made. Nick's guys were on time and professional, and basically spent months with them as they did their work! Would highly recommend Mill Creek Landscapes for your backyard project, big or small.

At least three separate times, Tony asked for my opinion on what he had started building, and when I said, "How about this way instead?" he graciously took the more time-consuming route to ensure all of his meticulous stone work made me smile.
