After living in our house for 20 years we finally decided to repaint the most used spaces, kitchen and family room and to remove the ancient fireplace front and replace it with an updated mantle and stone face. I always rely on Yelp but am still cautious who I hire. I requested estimates from several companies with decent reviews. First, I can tell you that, for any project going forward, I will contact GT Tile first (and probably last). George came out and was very likable and very knowledgeable. From the initial consult to the last day on the job, the experience was smooth, stress free, and it turned out better than we could have imagined. We did the normal meet and greet with a dozen or so contractors when we wanted to remodel our primary bathroom. Jim was the most engaged in the conversation and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about our vision. He provided great feedback and wasn't pushy at all. We had a large window in our bathroom where we wanted the shower to be but we didn't want to lose all the natural light. Jim showed us what he could do to give us a big shower, use some of that window space for a bit of a niche, and still have a window above to allow natural light in. They were even able to patch the exterior wall, re-stucco, and paint to match the existing exterior wall texture and color. It looks great and you would never know a bigger window was there! During the demo and build phases, the team was respectful of our space, cleaned up after themselves daily, and briefed us daily on what had been done and what steps were next. George communicated with us consistently to bounce ideas back and forth on what textures and colors might look good together, new lighting or fixture ideas, and all of the thousand little tweaks you can choose to make a bathroom really nice. The whole job only took two weeks and before we knew it, the bathroom became one of the nicest rooms in the house. It evolved from a neglected room and a constant subject of needed improvements often overlooked when showing guests our house, to a featured showcase during home tours. To jump into this, back towards the end of February I was searching for a Contractor who could remove my current kitchen, bathroom, and fire place backsplash / stone, along with removing my current range hood / placing it back up, and wall off a somewhat medium area. When I first met George I will be upfront I wasn't sure, because there are, so many Contractors out here in Vegas and I am highly on the side of reviews. When George first came over to give a rough estimate he arrived on time and legit next day received a bid. My wife and I were still on the side of caution and grabbed some other bids, but what I truly liked about George was his straight forward honesty and he even gave me an opportunity to see his work firsthand at another customers home. I took George up on his offer and went to a home where he and his crew were working at. I met the homeowner and saw Georges work and I knew from that point forward he had to be the guy for the job. From the start on Monday, March, 7th, 22, to Tuesday, March, 15th, George arrived with his guys on time. I met Victor and Jim who work closely with George and all I can say is not just one of them all of his guys were professional, respectful, clean, down to earth, and literally not bothered by me and or my family asking questions. See prior to George I was screwed over by a prior handyman who claimed he was licensed, bonded, and insured, he stole another Companies information and used it for his own. I didn't realize anything until after everything was said and done to my home and yeah a long fight ahead, so I needed things repaired properly and that's when George saw the lovely mess of what another person can do with hiring people from outside of Home Depot can do. Georges funny comment is "I'll be right back I need to stop by Home Depot and pick some guys up". Yet really he has his Team and that's that, he does not use anyone from Home Depot lol. George and his guys found numerous things wrong starting with the backsplash, to the rangehood not being mounted correctly / connected at all, to my bathroom mirror sitting on electrical wiring, bad electrical wiring, and etc, the list goes on. George and his guys are legit honest and 110% helped me and my wife to the "T". I would highly recommend him to anyone, I attached before and after pictures of his work. Also if you use George, George can meet you at my home, so you can see the work he did. To point out as well, he was on time all the time and if something needed to be changed, he was in contact with me the entire time. During the demo and installs and removals, him and his guys literally taped things off, and cleaned up after themselves daily and always asked about if it was ok to leave tools behind. The honesty here is what truly sets him apart from others. George accidently chipped one of my crown moldings and pointed it out to me and took care of his mistake. Not many Contractors are open or honest when they screw up on something and would attempt to surcharge you on something they did. 110% I will be calling George to redo a bathroom and 3 bedroom floors!
