I've never had a worse experience with movers…read more I called 2 days before the job. That's on me. These guys were the first ones to offer to take care of the job. Nothing serious, a little bit of garage junk and a bed moving up to my second floor. They confirm a 12-2 window and I figure we're good to go. Didn't get an email confirmation, which worried me, but I figured I'd call them if they ran late. The day comes, the time window comes and goes. I call them to see what's up. The rep that answers can't find my appointment. After a bit of back and forth, they rebook me from 2-4. Now, I have a brother in the ICU and me and my dad were going to go visit at 2, once the job was done. So, this is all really cutting into visiting time. At the very least I get a confirmation email this time. WELL, the second time window comes and goes, so I call these guys again to see what's up. The rep I speak with this time basically puts me on hold immediately then comes back on the line saying the guys are headed right over. I ask him what the ETA is and he tells me he didn't actually talk to the movers. They didn't answer, so that must mean they're on the way. I tell him how ridiculous that sounds and that I'm on time constraints and it's already 2 hours and thirty minutes past the time they were actually supposed to get there. Frustrated, I hang up the phone. It is 4:30. My original booking was for 12-2. Hospital visiting hours are over at 7:30. Five minutes later, the team lead calls me, telling me he had been trying to call me all day, and then accuses me of giving bad contact info on the 12-2 appointment time. I tell him one of their reps booked me and that if someone fat fingered the number, that's on them, not me. THIS IS ALSO THE FIRST TIME ANYONE HAS EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED THE FACT THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN THERE BETWEEN NOON AND 2PM. Anyway, he goes on to say that he has to go down to Lowell and drop off some stuff but he'll get to me eventually because he cares about the customer satisfaction guarantee. Outraged, I canceled the appointment. This left me and my 76 year old father to move a king sized bed from his truck, into my house, up a flight of stairs, and into my bedroom. It took us 2 and a half hours to get everything up there and set up. By the time we were done, I had enough time to get up to Concord for visiting hours to end. I spent all day waiting for these clowns and had to do the job myself anyway. Save yourself the time and frustration. Any other company is a better option than this one.

They offered to come to my house that day, but I sadly missed the message. I got back them around 9:30 at night...and they responded 15 minutes later offering to come the next day! They showed up on time with two trucks, but they really only needed one. I did appreciate the fact that they sent two trucks in anticipation of it possibly being a bigger haul. Anyways, they were in and out in like 10 minutes and had cleared everything. The guys who hailed the fish tank out were also very nice. Seriously, I can't recommend this place enough. I did have some working lights from the tank, and some old filter bags which they mentioned they might take for their own fish tank. I hope they got good use out of it!

I have interacted with two other larger companies and had appointments with both, and CMP is my third one which is really nice. I live in Boston south end area just for reference. (I won't say the larger companies' names but if you are searching for furniture removal in the area, you very likely know which ones I'm talking about). First off, they (CMP) were right on time (even some mins earlier) for *both* my price estimate and the actual removal appointments, so it's not like I only got lucky once. This is already a huge plus compared to the two other companies that I had scheduled with, where *both* of them were late for over three hours (and not only once) after the appointment window has ended. You will talk to and message the actual person who will do the job, so communication is smooth and easy. There's is no "sorry we will contact the driver" hassle. Secondly, the price CMP charged me was way much lower than those larger companies. On the actual moving day, I added several smaller furniture pieces and I asked them to took out quite a few trash bags for me (which were *not* included in our initial price estimate), so I paid more than the initial price. But still, the final price was *still* much lower than the price estimates the larger companies gave me for only my initial large furnitures. Thirdly, meanwhile, on top of everything, they are very friendly and it's relaxing to interact with them throughout the process. And they got the job down fast and neat. Can't recommend more! I really hope their business can grow and continue serving our local neighborhood.
