We were in need of a quick lunch so I stopped by Guadalajara. Typical Mexican place, very casual, just walk up and order. Got an al pastor super burrito ($16) and carnitas super nachos ($16). They've got a good selection of meats to choose from. Portion size is pretty generous but seeing these menu items at $16 these days is pretty crazy! It's been a while since I last came to this place, they are now named Acapulco Tacos and my to-go order was wrapped in aluminum foil instead of a container like before - which is fine, but what's a bummer was that they burned the bread for one of my tortas and didn't bother grabbing a new one before making it. Came here for pick up a couple of times and got a cabeza quesadilla which was stuff with cheese and meat. It comes with a side of lettuce, pico de gallo and guacamole. I love that they have a salsa bar so while waiting for my order, I stocked up on the different kinds of salsas, lime, peppers, and marinate veggies. There's also extra pico de gallo! The meat is pretty tender with some fatty pieces which I like. There's a great amount of cheese inside a grilled tortilla. The quesadilla is pretty big so I split it into 2 meals although I could probably eat it all if I didn't eat all the crusts. read more

Stopped by first time. This business replaced one of my favorite burger spots in Hayward. Ordered a regular size breakfast burrito with chorizo, egg, beans and cheese. Good taste but lacked seasoning. Restaurant is very clean and service is great. Prices are kind of on the high end but worth it if you plan on having a good meal here. They have a lot of food options such as menoufo ,Pozole etc. but ask because some of these items may be on weekends only. read more

I visited Guadalajara Tacos today hoping to find pozole with handmade tortillas, and Diana went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for. Let me start by saying this: I truly don't understand why this place has poor reviews. PLEASE give this location a try and go based on your own experience. I'm so glad I did, because everything was absolutely amazing. The food was incredibly delicious, full of flavor, and freshly made to perfection. The salsas were definitely spicy, exactly how I like them. It's rare to find a place that says their salsa is hot and actually means it! The horchata was hands down the best I've had so far, made from scratch, rich, and full of flavor. The entire staff was great: attentive, clean, organized, and professional. They communicated well and explained how things were prepared when we had questions. We were served generous portions, and everything tasted so good that even after getting full, I still took food home. Diana, you and your crew this morning were wonderful. The customer service was not so good I was not greeted when I walked in and I stood at the register for 2 minutes w one of the lady workers ther standing quit the whole time and not once did she say hi we will be right w you she just gave a stank look and walked away. Place looked nice and clean so decided to give it a try. Ordered some tacos to go and right off the bat, I notice they didn't put napkins in my bag. I eat tacos in Oakland all the time and they always put napkins in the to-go bags but I guess this establishment in Hayward hasn't considered that for their customers.. at least have the napkins next to the condiment/sauce bar. The sauce bar was nice. The asada/steak in the tacos weren't tender and didn't have much flavor. Today I spent $70 for 3 people to eat. The food was good but not $70 for nachos, a quesadilla and a taco salad. The salsa area is self service but barely had anything and wasn't cleaned up. When serving the drinks the girl at the register wiped the cup with a towel that I don't know how long it had been sitting there. The girl with the glasses at the register should NEVER be allowed to be up front. This is the second time I went in there and she is simply RUDE. I've passed this place with it's bright lights for a long time now. Finally we were craving tacos after a Target run so we stopped in here (I checked online ordering first but it's way more expensive to order online btw). We ordered quesabirria, an asada super taco, and a shrimp taco. They were each $5, which my husband thought was a bit crazy. I do agree that is expensive for a taco, BUT these tacos were huuuuge. Plus the tortillas are handmade and super yummy! Also, don't forget to hit the salsa bar! The asada had really good flavor, but I feel like they used beans as a filler to make the taco bigger? Shrimp taco was yummy, the pico de gallo and the dressing was good. The quesabirria was delicious! One downside was there wasn't consomme? Stopped by here on a fluke headed home and saw they had quesabirria tacos so figured why not. Listen, these are some of the BEST quesabirria tacos I've had! The service was friendly and the cashier indulged me and I ordered in Spanish We got our food in a decent amount of time. I got the tacos and my daughter got a cheese quesadilla. She enjoyed it ! The tacos has such a great balance of meat, cheese and tortilla. The consume was an extra $3 but SOOOOOO worth it I literally could drink it (I did not .. maybe lol) Anyway, the meat was cooked perfectly, very flavorful and moist. I didn't use any extra toppings on it other than a squeeze of lime. We also got Horchata and Jamaica frescas and they were yummy! We will definitely be back!! read more

Solid late night option in the Hayward area!!! We ordered their super burrito with carne asada and asked for it to be grilled (thank me later!). This thang was LOADED! They did not skim out on the meat at all. The only thing was that the cheese wasn't fully melted but it was overall a fire burrito. We also tried their carnitas tacos! My family and I love the food and agua frescas. I experienced both dine in and takeout and very satisfied with both. I have only placed my order in person. The quality of food is great, even as next day leftovers. The wait time wasn't very long, even when they were busy. There are menu screens that give you a picture of their most popular dishes, which can be great with choosing from their good variety of choices they offer. It can also be very confusing because everything looks and sounds so appetizing. The cashiers are usually bilingual and very friendly and helpful. Also in the restaurant, there is a side bar with a good variety and well plenished supply of condiments, including two types of green salsa and red salsa, pico de gallo, peppers, radishes, cucumbers, and limes. We have tried the following: Tacos, Taco Salad, Quesadilla Super, and Agua Frescas (Strawberry with Cream, Strawberry, and Jamaica-Hibiscus). We've tried the asada, al pastor, and carnitas. The location is easy to find, has a decent size private parking lot, and has well lit parking at night, which I greatly appreciate. I've been to tacos Guadalajara a few times before I decided to finally do a review. The aguas frescas here are the main attraction! They are the best! Which is honestly why I gave them a full 5 stars. My favorite is the strawberry horchata. It's like a treat, creamy, and sweet! The cucumber agua fresca I recommend for a warm day, it's refreshing! The food here was delicious in the first few months of opening. The tacos are delicious and big! It seems like the tortillas are hand made but I'm not positive. The last time I came here it seemed that the cook was having a lazy day because my super taco was missing some ingredients and looked like they just threw it together. However, the flavor was on point. Overall, a 4/5. The service here is ok, your average taqueria. The establishment is bright and fun. Hard to miss while driving by Ast. Ok! This has to be one of my top tacos places I've had in the Bay Area. I tried the Al pastor and the tacos had a lot of flavor. They were definitely a little pricey but were worth it. They have a salads bar which I loved. I can get whatever salads and toppings I want. The place was surprisingly packed for a weekday at 8pm. They have a tiny parking lot but it can be a bit packed and tight. If you're craving tacos I would definitely give this place a try however they also have other food that I saw a lot of people getting like the nachos and burritos. read more

Definitely slept on since there is a huge competitor down the street off the freeway. But I'll keep coming here for sure. Workers here friendly and inviting -- Don't forget patient. The first time I dined here, there were kids that were partaking in the devil's lettuce. So they were talking slow, changing their minds, etc. The ladies were calm, collected and took their orders with no annoyance or anger in their voices. Then when we ordered, same cadence. Every time I've been back since, same kind tone. The workers are cool too, they play fun music as they are working. The super tacos here are fire, so is the Cuban torta -- As far as protein options are concerned, this place has less than its competitor down the street. But it makes up for it in quality of food, protein size, and flavor. My favorites are the carnitas and tripe tacos. I am indifferent about the tripe. It doesn't seem like tripe. As in the texture is different. Also, tripe in grocery stores is pretty inexpensive and the option here is expensive compared to the other meat options. I still enjoyed it though. Also, they have a legit sauce bar where I pack tons of their seasoned cucumbers and avocado salsa. The Cuban torta is HUGE. Comes with sausage, fried chicken, steak, avocado, etc. I could only ever eat one side of the bread because it is too filling (also, not a huge fan of bread). It's basically a meat lover's sandwich. Definitely will fit macros for a good post-workout meal. Overall, delicious spot that rivals the competitors on A Street. I need to come back and try their menudo. read more

For both items I paid around $15. Plenty of seating. Service was not as quick because they were having WiFi issues. They had to turn away a lot of customers that were using credit cards. The tacos are the bomb! Please, do not compare the franchise to their ice cream parlor which is horrible. Anyways, I've only had their tacos de asada and al pastor. They are super delicious. The tortillas are handmade, and are bigger than your regular street taco tortillas. They have a self service salsa bar that is very fresh. The meats are very savory and they give you a nice amount for your buck. The cashiers and cooks are friendly and very attentive. This place deserves 6 stars. I commute up and down the bay all day everyday. Cannot tell you how many taqueria's I go to on a weekly basis and how many burritos I've tried. Their super burrito might be the best I've ever had, so fresh, perfectly cooked rice, asada has perfect flavor and the proportions are insane. Their salsa bar is top tier, one of the few that hasn't replaced guacamole with tomatillo, which I don't blame anyone in this current climate. I ordered through grub hub on Yelp since they didn't offer a phone number to call and order. The food was good, I ordered Al pastor tacos, the meat itself was not my favorite I wish I opted for the carne asada instead but I can appreciate the grilled pearl onion and Serrano pepper on the side. The burrito was also good, solid they were a little heavy on the beans but still a pretty good burrito. The carne asada nachos were also good, I love the carved meat. I also really appreciated how they packaged everything separately for the nachos so my chips were not soggy. They put the chips and meat in the box and the other toppings on the side, very thoughtful on their part for the consumer experience. They have a self serve salsa bar that had everything! Pico, two to three salsas, pickled jalapeños and carrots, radish, limes, they even had the cucumber side!! It was a bit difficult trying to read the menu when the menu kept changing to the next part of the menu showing all their options. But it wasn't a big deal and I decided to get pastor tacos, I like mine plain with a order of a shrimp taco. My friend got a fish taco with a pastor mulitas. They had a salsa bar which was a plus!!! Had sooo many options to pick from and it was self served so you can grab as much as you like! The tacos for me were very delicious and flavorful it was made just right but the shrimp taco kept falling apart making it hard to eat. My friend's taco and mulitas were great and delicious as well!! This spot had delicious food and so many food options. The drinks were to die for they were made perfectly and definitely worth the money. They seal the cups like boba seals their cups which a nice touch to have so your drink won't spill over and make a mess. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back here again.
