Our wedding turned out so amazing! Guadalupe wedding chapel really went above and beyond!

I recently had my elopement there, and the venue was decorated beautifully. My only complaint involves the officiant -- I believe his last name is Martinez. There were a few important details I wish had been communicated to us from the beginning: 1. There is a $200-$300 fee if you choose to bring your own photographer. 2. The officiant, Mr. Martinez, informed us that my mother could not serve as a witness and that witnesses were required to have a California ID. I had never heard of that requirement before, and after looking it up, I found it wasn't true at all. Thankfully, my sister was with us and able to sign the documents, but my mother was not allowed to -- which was very disappointing. read more

Truthfully I let my mom and fiancé at the time handle everything that happened with the business and the only complaint we have is that it was a little warm. We asked them to bump the AC because the men were hot in their suits. Other than that, Everything was beautiful. We did go rouge and do a bride or dress reveal with the groom and the pastor told us afterward he hopes we hadn't kissed in that moment because it should be saved for the end of the ceremony.....Husband and I just looked at each other like oops haha Oh well, we're atheists who are just trying to tie the knot after spending sixteen wonderful years together so the traditional wedding was never an option lol We could tell we threw the priest off when we stated that but he was still very professional and if anything it helped speed up the ceremony. I love that he didn't get carried away and drag on with personal stories the way some religious figures do. It was decently affordable, and truthfully, I think I'd like to book them again for our wedding anniversary. We kept things so intimate, the wedding party was about a dozen of us. So for the future, I'd definitely want to come back in a few years for an actually wedding reception with all of our family and friends! read more

We would definitely recommend getting married here. We were running behind schedule and the staff was gracious enough to allow us to proceed as usual. Our officiant provided a beautiful ceremony with such heart warming words. We even had guests bring it to our attention on how time efficient but beautiful the ceremony was. My husband and I were married at this location in October and we were EXTREMELY satisfied with the experience. From the first phone call we made, the staff was courteous, helpful, easy and accomodating. They answered all of our questions efficiently and respectfully. Completing the necessary paperwork was very easy to do via email. When we arrived, I was plesantly surprised with how cute it was. The decorations and lighting were romantic and soothing. Under different circumstances (no pandemic) I completely see how this would be a perfect place for a ceremony AND reception. I have to give Zayda a shout out! She was our officiant and really made the moment special. It's a bit hard to not be surrounded by friends and family, but she truly allowed us to focus on our relationship and commitment to one another. It was already decorated and set as soon as you walk in, perfect for any last minute or small budget weddings. It was absolutely beautiful and intimate as well !!! El apoyo de Juan el coordinador del lugar, fue excelente y su amabilidad, (este comentario no va en contra de él), pero no entiendo por qué un lugar tan caro y supuestamente un lugar con servicios profesionales tiene un DJ de quinta categoría, por más de 10 años nunca había vivido una experiencia tan desagradable con un DJ donde el planificador de bodas, coordinador y maestro de ceremonias tenian que decirle varias veces que bajara la música o quitara la musica porque se escuchaba hasta el otro cuarto en donde se realizaba la cena y él lo hacía cuando queria, su actitud asquerosa y arrogancia era como si era el fiuera el encargado o el que habia pagado. Mientras la gente estaba en el salon de recepciones, no deberia haber musica en el salon de la fiesta ya que todos se encontraban en el otro salon donde se estaban realizando la cena, los discursos, musica mas tranquila, pero el DJ al otro lado tocaba la musica a todo volumen faltando el respeto al evento y su expresión era de reírse como de burla cuando le decían que apagara la música, luego la volvía a subir unos minutos después, luego en la fiesta su playlist de música fue horrible y lo peor de todo fue en el baile sorpresa de los novios, ellos que invirtieron dinero en ese salon y donde le cobraron por ese supuesto DJ, también invirtieron meses de práctica en su coreografía para que una sola persona le arruinara toda la noche. Ese DJ (que ni siquiera sabía mezclar) pone otra canción sobre la música que estaban bailando en su baile sorpresa, haciendo que se perdieran por completo en el baile, arruinando por completo su presentacion donde fotógrafos y videógrafos estaban grabando ese momento tan especial para ellos. Los fuegos artificiales fríos y los efectos de nubes los desconectaron por lo tanto, tampoco pudieron funcionar según lo previsto. uno de los peores servicios que se ha vivido en un evento tan especial. Alright so ima start by saying this venue exceeded my expectations everything about this venue was perfect the decorations the table arrangements everything down to the T. But let me tell you over all ZAYDA is heaven sent & the reason why I had the most beautiful women. She was there with since day 1 & helped me with every detail of my wedding . I'm not the best at planning & having creative ideas so she was always sending me ideas & on top of everything! On the day of my wedding to my surprise walking in she had done an exceptional job with EVERYTHING & I mean EVERYTHING . I'd like to base my review on the fact that failure to disclose any fees is against the state and federal law. They have hidden fees that haven't been displayed on their website or during booking process through their website. When I called them to book for my ceremony over the phone, they referred me to book online through theit website. The only reason I booked this place was because I wanted to take some beautiful photos with their decoration and I had explained this to them over the phone when I first called them. There was no where on their website or during my booking process or even on my booking confirmation email, that I have to pay $200 fees to them if I want to have my own photographer! Let's not mention that their photographer's portfolio was aweful so I couldn't even think about it! When I found out I decided to cancel the booking, then they refused to refund me. Off course, they also haven't mentioned anything about their cancellation policy on their website either. I had called them before booking and asked correlating questions and they never mentioned this fact at that time either! I was just lucky that I went to the location to check out the chapel beforehand and found out about all this, otherwise they would have surprised me with their hidden fees and policy on my special day, and eventually ruining my day! Please don't fall to this scumbag stablishment , I make a reservations for my wedding 2nd week of May 2021 ( which is the day I pay fo the reservation) and the wedding should be on july 2021 and because of the Covid-19 some of our visitors can't came from Hawaii. ( So we decide to canceled the wedding and do it on Hawaii instead so most of our relatives can attend our wedding) . And this is only after the day of reservation. When I cameback there after a few days and explained the situation I ask the receptionist who made the reservation ,(her name is Zayda) that I need o cancel the wedding and I need the refund which is the amount of $300+ ( for the venue)and $100+(for the photographer) she said its unrefundable and She said I sign on it despite she didn't explain it to me before the transactions but still ask her we'res the paper works and she said on the receipts, So I double check and Yes it is on the receipts but Im glad I didn't sign on it, So I insisted that she need to gave it back my Money since they don't do anything Yet and besides this is against the Law (I'll doing to sued them though soon), she only reply me that she need to talk to the boss but I ask her to call her boss and so I can explain the situation but she said she can't cuz its holiday ( wow its holiday but they still opened during those time , its veterans day though) but she can inform them so they can call me and I agree with her. Ill wait tell the day that her boss should called me but it two weeks already never heard anyting from them! So I decide to comeback there and ask her again she replay me aw! He didn't call you Yet? And I said no! And ask her can you call him and she said no! So I ask her to gave his boss num and the name of the person is Mr. Jhonney Monroy . I'll call him but didn't answer . And untill now I didn't get my refund almost a month of follow-up And one more thing I heard the other receptionist argued with the other clients regarding with the marriage certification , just wondering if they doing it legally or something wrong with their process , So be careful guys. If there's zero rate I will gave this stablishment !,customer service is sooo rude. read more

HORRIBLE attention, request a copy of my Marriage Certificate less than 1 month after getting married there and they did not have these documents in the office that include my husband's European passport. The owner of the place, an arrogant man with very bad attention, asked me to leave the place according to him because I "WASN'T WELCOME THERE" with the excuse that I had offended a worker by phone, excuse because they DO NOT have the documents in the office, very important documents and personal who do not want to give a copy. read more

Worst wedding chapel anybody could ask for. My Father had asked me to help him in setting up a reservation so him and his wife could get married. I called this place and some lady answered, we spoke on the phone and I had originally told her that he wanted the most simple wedding possible. She had stated that the wedding was for 0-6 people that may attend. My family and I were not planning on going in the beginning but ended up being able to attend my father's special moment. When we all arrived she had my family and I sit behind a wall and my father and his wife on the other side. At first my thought was that they were gonna just sign some papers and then step out to do the little ceremony so that we can all see my father get married for the first time, BUT NO SHE JUST DID EVERYTHING BEHIND A WALL WHILE MY WHOLE FAMILY WHO WERE ALL DRESSED UP AND WAITING TO SEE SOMETHING ANYTHING JUST SAT THERE WITH OUR FINGERS UP OUR A** BEHIND A WALL. Not to mention that she was totally unprofessional taking two phone calls in the middle of their "wedding" . And rushing the whole process not even letting them do the ring exchange. You would think people would have common sense and see people show up it means they probably are there to support and not just sit behind a wall where we looked like fools waiting for a "wedding" to happen. Say "I Do" here! Guadalupe Wedding Chapel is absolutely stunning is the only way to describe this venue! This place is straight out of a fairy tale. Before our wedding we did some research and stumbled across this venue in Van Nuys. The staff is incredible and yes, they run a tight ship and I love them for it. The minute we stepped inside I knew this was the perfect backdrop to celebrate our love. The chapel itself is so gorgeous, they have great greenery & flowers inside the chapel it is so gorgeous. It is setups for beautiful pictures on the spot. You really don't need to bring in any additional décor and probably saved $1,000's in unnecessary flower expense for the event. The price is so cheap which we really appreciated on a budget. Our officiant Zayda was absolutely amazing! The ceremony she came up with for us was absolutely perfect!
