I was a patient if Dr Kaitlyn Guardino, Joe's daughter. I was running late because I had no child care and needed to nurse my 9 month old. I called driving in to advise that I would be about 10 minutes late. I told them I could make it and I pulled in at the 10 minutes, got upstairs by 12. Dr Kaitlyn was asked if she'd see me and said no as I stood there breathless with infant in hand. While I understand schedules, extenuating circumstances occur. I find it inflexible and uncompassionate. As far as the practice goes she's dry and straight-forward. But I chose not to reschedule. I will be finding a new practitioner who is more understanding and family friendly. I'm joining other reviews who are low-starred - you're better off finding another practice. read more

Dr Guardino has been our family's doctor for literally decades, but a new doctor (I think perhaps his daughter) has joined the practice, and I am incensed by her "bedside manner" toward my father. If you can even call her behavior bedside manner. My father is 72 years old, and he had a cough he couldn't shake. Anyone's immediate thought is to check carefully for pneumonia, given the age of the patient. They said he had an upper respiratory infection and sent him off with some pills. No x-rays, nothing. The medication didn't help. In fact his coughing got worse so he called the office. Again, he is an old man. He also does not speak English as his first language. He googled his symptoms the best he could, and found they resembled whooping cough, so he brought that up with the doctor. It is rare for someone to have whooping cough, and I'm sure doctors are annoyed with patients who look up everything on webmd. That does not, however, give you a right to be rude. She very condescendingly said to my father over the phone, "so you just diagnosed yourself with whooping cough?" No, he was just CONCERNED. Obviously. He ended up hanging up on her, and is now looking for a new physician, which I fully approve of. My parents ended up going to an urgent care facility who correctly diagnosed him with pneumonia after taking x-rays. Because OF HIS AGE and condition, they also recommended he stay overnight at a hospital for monitoring. I do not recommend this practice to anyone looking for a caring, thorough doctor. read more

While Dr. J Guardino is pleasant enough himself it's often a very quick in and out type of check up. I tend to lead the questions and often have to request a blood test to check the typical things a 41 year old guy needs to have checked. I'm a typical guy and not one to go to a doctor all that often. But have asthma pretty badly and take medications daily to control it. And have been told by the Dr. that I'll most likely be on them for the rest of my life. So I find myself going for a visit more times that I'd like. The staff on the other hand. Is beyond RUDE. Every time I've been there I been made to feel as I am interrupting and wasting their time. When called about medication refills, schedule an appointment or to reschedule an appointment, as I have to work and at times have client issues that force me to so. Today specifically I was called and scolded that CVS had attempted to automatically request a renewal of a prescription that I was out of and since I have not been in to see the doctor in the past six months I could not have a renewal. This is one of the medications that I've been by the doctor does not have any side affects and that will most likely have to be on forever. Why that is fair enough that since I've not been in for a check up. The manner in which I was told this is unbelievable. I was rudely asked if I wanted to still be a patient of the doctor. I would say it was even meant in a threatening way. When I questioned the woman, who I believe is the Dr's wife about what I had done to be treated so rudely. She only got more aggressive in her tone and would then not let me speak. My politeness, something that pride myself on was wearing out and I found myself getting angry for how rudely I was being treated. So I ended the call before I could be treated even worse. I was not surprised to find other negative comments about the doctor on this site. But did find it comical that others had posted the exact same type of criticism and concern as I had. My wife is a patient of the Dr. as well. She and I have often talked about the rudeness of the office staff. But busy schedules and the day to day tasks of being working parent's prevent us from the challenge of finding another primary care doctor for ourselves. But this latest insult has been enough for us to start the search. I would say that I would continue your search of a primary care physician if you are looking. read more

This doctors office is terrible. The receptionists are extremely rude and couldn't care less about you as a patient. You are seen very quickly and almost feel as if your in an assembly line and only have a short time with the actual doctor who by the way doesnt care about whats wrong with you he'll give you a prescription for whatever without even getting to the root of the problem. His wife is the receptionist there who is on a high horse because she is an RN. Well she answers phones for the dr. Now so shes not a practicing RN. If you see the dr prepare yourself for absolutely NO eye contact! If your a female then he stares at your chest pretty much the whole time. But before you even see the doctor you get to sit in a waiting area that has old stained up chairs. Dusty trees and fake plants. Ceiling tiles missing, roof leaking with buckets on floor to catch water. Ac barely works the elevator leading up to the place is old and creaky so ride at your own risk...i usually take the stairs which is a free sauna in the summer probably about 80 stairs to his top floor suite. The bathroom is extremely small in his office just enough room to hit your knees on the toiket as you walk in. The carpets are old and musty smelling. Pretty dirty office and very outdated. So let me tell you about your trip if you go to this office. Once you go in you have to stand at the receptionist desk and wait for them to even notice you. When she finally does you wait for her to slide the glass open. You give your name and sit. If you ask a question your rushed away and made to feel like an idiot for asking any questions. Youll notice your rushed through everything but waiting in the waiting area with the outdated ripped up 5 magazines and a small flatscreen tv that has advertisements and elevator music on it. Meanwhile the 2 receptionists slide their chairs on wheels together and stare and talk behind the glass about what you would think is definetely you because why else would they stare. Ok so 20 minutes after your "appointment" went by of being watched,bored and hot. Ok so maybe by now the doctor has come out of his office he immediately goes behind the glass and joins the receptionists talking. So another 10 minutes he comes out to take you. He calls your name(his voice is very monotone and it stays that way the entire time) you will go through an old wood door and ALWAYS go to his office which is the first door on your left. Unless you have to use the restroom first which in that case prepare to clean their bathroom because there is barely any room in it. So you are in the room and he is sitting in a chair on wheels and staring at his computer reclining in his chair and during conversations with him he will stare at your chest or somewhere on your body NEVER your face. His answers are kept short. And pretty much any problem you have he recommends seeing a different doctor for your problem he doesnt handle them. All he does is prescibes meds or physical therapy. When your done which youll realize your actual appointment only lasted maybe 10 minutes. Then he walks out of the office tells you to go out door to right which is obvious to you cuz the office is not big at all! And he goes behind the glass with the receptionists again. While you exit the door and must shut it behind you. So in conclusion if this sounds like what you want in a doctor go here. But i would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!!!! Ive been going here for well over a year and i finally left this place realizing i can find a way better dr that is more worth me giving my money to. The only good thing is they are a group prohealth physicians , you can try ANY other dr in the practice they have seperate offices and hes the only one in his office. If you call them 8606461900 then prepare to wait on hold and listen to more elevator music they put you on hold for forever. I also write this because this time they stepped over the line. I asked to speak to the doctor and i couldnt i even asked them to have me call me whenever he gets the chance elaine the receptionist also to doctors WIFE got a massive attitude with me and because she was an RN she could answer my question and i didnt need to waste the doctors time. Well my insurance is accepted everywhere so im not worried ill find a doctor that appreciates my money and does a thorough job and can talk to me if i need to. So again I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. read more
