I Just moved to Grand Prairie, the haven of all the tacos in the entire universe. On Pioneer, you can find this type of food every 0.1miles. I actually really love this place. It is so surprisingly good! I ordered a combo plate and it came with a cheese enchilada and then a beef burrito. I thought someone had made a mistake in giving me their pork burrito ......but it's not ground beef!!!! it's not leftover, its shredded delicious beef in this burrito. Their food quality is excellent, the people who work here are so kind. I have been back twice this week! I never Eat the rice but it's so good. The Bad: Barbacoa - the taste is off could be the seasoning they use. Stale taste. Tamales are trash. They looked over cooked and hard. They heat them up in microwave, maybe that over cooks them. They should heat them on defrost. Carna asada - could be better Cook does not have on gloves but maybe some restaurants don't wear them. I love this place, nothing fancy, it's cheap Mexican food. I've gotten the chimichanga and the rolled tacos here. The chimichanga is huge and delicious, it's very Tex Mex type food for a cheap price. I'm happy this place has a drive thur for street tacos! The mini tacos are lightly fried and topped with the meat of your choice. Served with onion & cilantro & your choice of, red, green, or avocado salsa. The avocado salsa is my favorite. My meal of choice would be three mini carne asada tacos, with avocado salsa, and a cold Mexican Coca-Cola! Also, this place has really good refried beans! One other favorite is the combo plate with a cheese enchilada, & a beef crispy taco. This meal blessed my spirit on Jesus' birthday...lol The meat was seasoned beyond belief, tender and juicy. Stuffed with plenty of meat which was a shocker to me. I'll start by saying I'm 100% white, but I know the food I ate wasn't right at all. The rice was absolutely bland, beans didn't even taste like beans should... and the SHRIMP wasn't even cooked all the way. I even payed extra for a little bag of jalapeños for the extra flavor and spice, they still couldn't even get that right somehow it tasted more like a pickle then jalapeños. I tried the 2 beef taco plate that comes with beans and rice. They were delicious the crispy shell was homemade and packed with meat. The rice and beans were good. The restaurant was clean and the customer service was good. The reason for 3 stars is the price, my plate cost like 8.50. I had to pay 3.50 extra for an agua fresca. A single taco runs around 3 bucks. I can go else where and get better prices. I spent 13.50 for a 2 taco meal. Guanataco charges that much for like 10 tacos.
