I was recommended this place and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Llanera Arepa - it was filled with perfectly seasoned beef chunks, with a slice of cheese and pico, all of that in a piping hot piece of bread. It was delish!!! I also ordered an empanada and thought it was ok. But the star was the Arepa for sure. The service was friendly and we got our food within 20 min. It's a nice casual place, they also have desserts and coffee that i am interested in trying next time. I highly recommend trying out this hidden gem!

This is a cute little Venezuelan bakery in Suwannee! It's cute and you can definitely have some Instagram moments with your food here! I tried their frozen Guayoyo coffee, but it tasted just like a mocha shake. The cheese empanadas were pretty good, just very salty. I was full from just eating one empanada! The empanadas come with some type of minty mayo dipping which brings the flavors out even more! There just aren't a lot of options for vegetarians or vegans. The prices are pretty decent for the portions. The food is cooked fresh and very flavorful. It does have indoor seating open!

Sister dateEverything here was an amazing experience. From the service to the food. The cashier was very friendly. The food....ummm...WOW!!! Ah-Mazzzzing!! The amount of food you get it huge! Looking back, I should have shared with my sister. But I brought home leftovers to my husband and he really liked the sandwich. I ordered the Suwannee sandwich. I highly recommend it! I would make the drive to come back out here again!

My half-eaten Pelua Arepa :-). Soooo good!

I stopped by this restaurant on a whim this afternoon. I was not particularly peckish but the name looked intriguing. I did not know what a "guayoyo" was but soon learned it is a coffee filtration technique using a cone-shaped cloth and commonly used in Venezuela. I have tried about a dozen arepa restaurants through the years - not an "expert" but enough to say that Guayoyo's arepas are THE BEST. The Pelua Arepa (shredded beef with gouda cheese) was my choice this afternoon. Bread is crispy and not heavy - great texture! Shredded beef is wonderfully tasty and nicely balanced - not too wet and texture was amazing. Guayoyo coffee and tres leches cake topped it all off. Nice brew with a not-too-rich yet sinful cake. I would order this combination again and again and again...

Guayoyo is a hidden gem located off of lawrenceville Suwanee rd. I am in love with the empanadas!!! My favorite one is the chicken so I highly recommend chicken empanadas.

Went here to work the other day and didn't want to say anything because I wanted to keep the peace and quiet. However, I believe in recognizing good food and experiences so here ya go. It's Latin and the empanadas were what drew me in initially. I wish I had tried the shredded beef one because the ham and shredded chicken was mainly ham, very little chicken and the cheese didn't melt inside. It was a disappointing, but I will try another one because it was still a nice sized empanada. I couldn't tell for sure, but it seems like they might buy them from someone else rather than make them on the premises because a woman came in with a large pan of something. In any case, the tres Leche cake was soaked goodness. I saved it for later and it was a perfect treat after a horrendous call. I also have been enjoying the light and fluffy coconut smothered vanilla cookie with caramel inside days later. Very unique and flavorful. The inside is inviting and very cute. My only suggestion would be to mix up the music a little because I heard the same music 3 x. Granted I was there over 5 hours, but still. It was very quiet, very few customers and you were able to sit, chat, and enjoy the space very nicely.

Eng: This is such a cozy place! I stopped by with my father to get a quick bite and coffee and the atmosphere was welcoming and smells great! I loved my food and definitely will be back to try more dishes! Esp: Este es un lugar tan acogedor! Pasé con mi padre para tomar un bocado rápido y un café y el ambiente era acogedor y olía muy bien. Me encantó mi comida y definitivamente regresaré para probar más platos!

Amazing Venezuela bakery shop. We elected for the beef empanada, ham and cheese empanada and the ham, cheese and plantain pastry plus 2 mocha lattes. Everything was made fresh and was delicious. Next time, we will need to try their cake and puddings. The inside area was also super cute . The only complaint is location if you are going away from 85 as there's no easy way to turn left. If you're on your way to Lawrenceville or 85, this place is very convenient as it will allow you to turn right and directly to highway

The empanadas here are amazing. The wait for takeout was a bit long. 25ish minutes. However the empanadas were so full of flavor and fresh that I think I'll be back to try different ones. I ordered beef but they accidentally gave me chicken, which was not bad. I'd come back for the beef though. The place was cutely decorated for the Christmas holidays.

Chicken and cheese empanadas. Seriously delicious

Having had a disappointing meal at a restaurant next door, I was scouring for something that would leave a better taste in my mouth. I stumbled upon this place thinking I would get a coffee or pastry, but I was blown away at how vast their menu was. I was so surprised to see Latinx offerings like arepas and empanadas. Seeing the indecision on my face, a woman behind the counter asked me what I wanted and helped me narrow my order down to chicken and cheese empanadas. As you can see from the picture below, these empanadas were glowing. Freshly made and accompanied with a creamy mayonnaise dip, these empanadas packed a delicious crisp bite with their fillings bursting with flavor. The cheese was imported from Venezuela, I was told. The incredible kindness of the people there at Guayoyo is also another reason to visit again.

A business associate bought me an empanada for lunch and it was very tasty. Little did I know the restaurant was very close to my home so the next day I went down and order another Pabellon Empanada, yes it was that good, it contains black bean, plantains, cheese, with shredded beef baked in pastry. They also provide a green mint mayo based sauce that enhances the flavors. They can get a little busy so call ahead for to-go orders if you don't want to wait.

And they are so so much better. Soon's Bakery is one of those bakeries - with fun and viral options like the sweet potato bread (mochi-like texture), sweet corn bread and cream donuts, that you wouldn't find at the classic Korean bakeries. I'm also a big fan of their cookies - with my personal favorite, the earl grey. I'm unsure if they still have their brunch menu, but I also really loved their soufflé pancakes. I'm also impressed with their coffee options - much better than the average Korean bakery. Recently tried the matcha cream latte which was pretty much perfect. Creamy iced latte topped with unsweetened matcha cream - perfect pick-me-up. Overall a pretty quiet spot to grab a sweet treat and a coffee in a newly renovated cafe. Definitely recommend if you're in Suwanee!

I usually pop in pretty late in the evening before they close since the bakery is a little further from my home. Most of the goodies have dwindled down by the end of the night. The owner is a sweet Taiwanese lady who boasts their products don't contain any preservatives. Everything is freshly made - half the time, the bread baggies are seen open and cooling. My favorites are the buns - the custard, black sesame, hot dog and Chanel polo meat floss buns. Their sandos remind me of Family Mart sandwiches in Taiwan. And the bento boxes are massive - definitely recommend the fried pork chop bento box! The combo comes with a drink, as well.
