I also ordered a frozen Mango Juice The shredded beef for the Arepa was so flavorful and tasty. The right amount of cheese and a warm and fresh tasting Arepa . I wish they offered the seasoned sauce that they the beef is made in to go or I should have asked ask if they can add more of the sauce to soak the meet just a little bit more because the beef was a bit dry to my liking at the start but still very very yummy & flavorful . Next time I will prob order a green sauce or something . The mango juice was perfect is not too sweet and very good . I ordered the Llanera Arepa - it was filled with perfectly seasoned beef chunks, with a slice of cheese and pico, all of that in a piping hot piece of bread. It was delish!!! I also ordered an empanada and thought it was ok. But the star was the Arepa for sure. The service was friendly and we got our food within 20 min. Excellent espresso. The Venezuelan diced ham and cheese stuffed in a roll is delicious, you can really tell the bread is fresh early in the morning. The feel is a bit trendy, although I think they keep the club music reasonably low in the morning -- not sure what it's like later in the day. Two diner-like tables and several smaller tables, not sure if that accommodates everyone at the lunch rush, but it's comfortable here! This is a cute little Venezuelan bakery in Suwannee! It's cute and you can definitely have some Instagram moments with your food here! I tried their frozen Guayoyo coffee, but it tasted just like a mocha shake. The cheese empanadas were pretty good, just very salty. I was full from just eating one empanada! The empanadas come with some type of minty mayo dipping which brings the flavors out even more! There just aren't a lot of options for vegetarians or vegans. I stopped by this restaurant on a whim this afternoon. I was not particularly peckish but the name looked intriguing. I did not know what a "guayoyo" was but soon learned it is a coffee filtration technique using a cone-shaped cloth and commonly used in Venezuela. I have tried about a dozen arepa restaurants through the years - not an "expert" but enough to say that Guayoyo's arepas are THE BEST. The Pelua Arepa (shredded beef with gouda cheese) was my choice this afternoon. Bread is crispy and not heavy - great texture! Went here to work the other day and didn't want to say anything because I wanted to keep the peace and quiet. However, I believe in recognizing good food and experiences so here ya go. It's Latin and the empanadas were what drew me in initially. I wish I had tried the shredded beef one because the ham and shredded chicken was mainly ham, very little chicken and the cheese didn't melt inside. It was a disappointing, but I will try another one because it was still a nice sized empanada. I couldn't tell for sure, but it seems like they might buy them from someone else rather than make them on the premises because a woman came in with a large pan of something. In any case, the tres Leche cake was soaked goodness. I saved it for later and it was a perfect treat after a horrendous call. I also have been enjoying the light and fluffy coconut smothered vanilla cookie with caramel inside days later. Very unique and flavorful. The inside is inviting and very cute. My only suggestion would be to mix up the music a little because I heard the same music 3 x. Granted I was there over 5 hours, but still. Amazing Venezuela bakery shop. We elected for the beef empanada, ham and cheese empanada and the ham, cheese and plantain pastry plus 2 mocha lattes. Everything was made fresh and was delicious. Next time, we will need to try their cake and puddings. The inside area was also super cute . The only complaint is location if you are going away from 85 as there's no easy way to turn left. The empanadas here are amazing. The wait for takeout was a bit long. 25ish minutes. However the empanadas were so full of flavor and fresh that I think I'll be back to try different ones. Having had a disappointing meal at a restaurant next door, I was scouring for something that would leave a better taste in my mouth. I stumbled upon this place thinking I would get a coffee or pastry, but I was blown away at how vast their menu was. I was so surprised to see Latinx offerings like arepas and empanadas. Seeing the indecision on my face, a woman behind the counter asked me what I wanted and helped me narrow my order down to chicken and cheese empanadas. As you can see from the picture below, these empanadas were glowing. Freshly made and accompanied with a creamy mayonnaise dip, these empanadas packed a delicious crisp bite with their fillings bursting with flavor. The cheese was imported from Venezuela, I was told. Ordered 1 Arepa, 1 Sandwich, Tequeños, Two drinks. Spent $40 I was very excited to find a Latin Restaurant in the area advertising authentic food with 4.5 star reviews. How disappointed I was? The food was mediocre at best (this does not include the Tequeños but who can mess up a cheese stick?) The order taker/cashier wasn't very friendly. She also immediately began speaking to me in Spanish, however I am Chinese. The Rice Chicha, which was suggested to me by the cashier, I asked the cashier if it has cinnamon and she advised that it could be left out, it tasted like a cinnamon overloaded horchata pudding. I don't like cinnamon so I went to the register and purchased a $2 can of coke. I tried to pay with a $5 bill but they didn't have change and requested I pay with a card. My sandwich came with fries, they are not like the ones pictured on their website (the ones that are battered and then fried) so I asked for ketchup and was given two packets of ketchup. The sandwich was okay but that was my bad for not reading the description property. I really enjoy the sauce that comes with the tequeños so I requested more and was told there is a 50¢ charge for sauce. This time they had change... ... My whole impression was that they were more interested in making money then making sure their customers have a worthwhile experience at their establishment. read more

It is located in a plaza with plenty of parking, and they do accommodate inside seating, however we ordered to go all three times because of Covid and food was fresh and hot. After living here for four years, Guayoyo has become our family's favorite spot in Suwanee. I would highly recommend that anyone who lives here or is just passing through give it a try. These are our favorites, and we keep coming back for these regularly: Pabellón empanadas, stuffed with shredded beef, sweet plaintains, blacks beans and cheese. The flavor is incredible, and the portion is really generous for the price. Llanera arepas, stuffed with grilled steak, a slab of white cheese, and sort of a pico/guac mixture. I recommend ordering these fried rather than grilled, but they're great either way. We've also really enjoyed the Reina Pepiada arepa (avocado & shredded chicken), Pabellón bowl, Milhoja (layered puff pastry with cream), Tres Leches cake, and all of the various coffee drinks we've tried. One day I'm going to order the Guayoyo Burger, but it's hard to deviate from our favorites, the Pabellón empanadas and Llanera arepas. read more

Finally I was able to visit this Venezuelan Bakery that I have heard many good reviews but because is too far from home I had not done the adventure to navigate until here. You need to order their coffees and desserts. Most of the things I bought were to take home because of the distance it is almost impossible to come back. I ordered a cinnamon bread called golfeados, cheese sticks called Tequeños, pastelitos that are like patties, ham bread called cachitos, chocolate dessert called Marquesa, another type of patties called Empanadas. I also ordered a bowl of shredded beef, black beans, rice, plantains and cheese, and a lasagna called pastichio. Of course coffee because I am a coffee lover and they have a great coffee machine. A very welcome addition to Suwanee!! For sure the best Venezuelan in the area. Had the Pabellón empanada which was probably my favorite. Big enough to be a meal on its own. Also had the beef arepa also very filling. The shredded beef in both of them was very well seasoned. The Reina Pepiada arepa is like a chicken salad with avocado. Tasty as well! Any of these can be eaten on their own with a side item and most would be satisfied. But getting some sweet plantains on the side with cheese is a good idea! It's obvious they know how to cook and pay attention to flavor. Coming back for the morning pastries and coffee as well. The space inside is clean and well decorated.
