Ordered early Mother's Day flowers from this local shop instead of 1-800-flowers and will do that again in future years! I ordered on the website just 2 days in advance. They called because they didn't have the exact same vase that was pictured on the website and I said no problem, her favorite color is purple so whatever works. So unbeknownst to be they added a purple ribbon to the vase which was a perfect touch. Beautiful arrangement and customer service! And even better pricing than the big online box store. My mom also told us that the woman who delivered was so nice. I do not understand all the negative reviews except the arrangement not being exactly like what is pictured on the website, down to the same amount of petals?? For $100 this shop thought it was acceptable to send a $3 case with only 3 roses for Valentine's Day and some carnations. You've got to be kidding me. Terrible terrible quality and service. Sorry to have to give even one star. I received an order confirmation email for my $100 flower delivery order. I never received a confirmation that the arrangement was delivered. No problem, I just called Gudger's Flowers to confirm. The man I spoke to treated this as a near-criminal offense. He immediately took on a hostile attitude and then told me to "look at my damn computer" and hung up on me. My husband called back and received the same outrageously rude behavior. One of my best friends ordered flowers through this so called "business" for me for my birthday. After the delivery, I received a call from David; I, at first, was very touched that he called, as I thought he was going to ask if the flowers were adequate and wish me a happy birthday. However, he proceeds to tell me what a horrible person my best friend is due to a disagreement over my flowers. Why call me (the receiver) and try to stir an upset on my special day? Like everyone else I buy most things off the internet and expect to receive items as described and shown. This florist not only doesn't provide items as described but makes changes without asking. I order a purple vase with a butterfly on it with their premium upgrades described as a 15 1/2 x 16 1/2 arrangement. I received a blue vase with a bee on it sized several inches smaller. The image on their website has 7 roses for the premium product and there were only 5 in the one I received which conincides with their deluxe package. Clearly they over sell and under deliver. I should have looked at the multiple reviews online before buying here. So I called to ask about the vase being the wrong one and was informed that it was out of stock and that I accepted alterations. After verifying my initial order email I confirmed had not having left the substitution section empty. The owner then started to yell at me, yes actually yell, and told me that he would send the driver to pick up the flowers. I was so taken aback by the complete lack of professionalism that I agreed and waited for the driver. When the driver got back I showed him the email receipt confirming that I had not mentioned anything about changes or alterations. I showed him the description of the items purchased that clearly showed I didn't received what I ordered and then asked about the reimbursment. He agreed with me and called the owner. The owner simply raised his voice again and said he wouldn't process the reimbursment till later that evening with his other paperwork and hung up. No apologie no desire to listen or even understand the complaint, he simply didn't care about service or respecting orders. What a piece of work. Without any notification, they substituted and delivered flowers of a much lesser value, then the cost paid for them. I was so happy to have ordered my flowers through Gudgers Flowers in spite of the negative reviews here! They were actually recommended to me by the care facility where my friend, who is the recipient of the flowers, is staying. Kelly who helped me with the order process, was very pleasant, thorough, and noted all of my preferences, communicated them to the arranger, and then gave me an accurate time frame as to when it would be delivered as they had to special order one item. She called me the day of the delivery which she didn't have to, and texted me a photo of the delivery, which I requested. It really warms my heart that my friend will enjoy the lovely arrangement. If I could leave a zero star review I would. They basically bait and switched the item I purchased with the item they sent to my recipient. Then proceeded to call me crazy. They said that they are allowed to substitute an item if it is not in stock of equal value but the item they substituted was less than the cost I purchased for the original item. Then when I told them that it clearly states on their website that those two products are not the same value. They called my recipient and complained to them, and then called me to tell me that the person that received the flowers said it was fine. Yea harass someone that is in the hospital for flowers I purchased, is NOT OK! They could have chosen a different item that was of equal value but chose something that was of less value. DO NOT GO HERE. They don't even try to contact you to tell you they are substituting your purchase, they just do it. Whatever you do, do not order from these people. The price they give you online changes AFTER you place your order. I called to complain after ordering flowers because I then received a SECOND confirmation email saying that the tax and delivery fee had increased. They told me the delivery address was further than they wanted to go. However, I had to put in the delivery address when placing the order, so they already knew where they were going when they gave me the first price. Then the manager yelled at me and said if I was arguing over the change in the price they were going to cancel my order and hung up the phone. I've been to this place twice and received excellent service both times. First time I wanted a single rose in a vase, the second time I wanted two roses in a vase. These were both put together in a few minutes for a reasonable price. So many reviews on here indicate rudeness! Exactly, my experience. And, most certainly one of the worst and callous customer experiences ever! I was sent a beautiful and, surely expensive, arrangement in memory of my son. While many flowers were fresh there were several that were wilted and marked up; brown spots. I also mentioned that one of them looked like sweet peas. I'm an old woman and I've gotten plenty of flowers in my day and I've never received an arrangement with flowers that looked like they were seconds or as if they'd sat in the frig for a couple of days. I called them and very kindly explained the arrangement was beautiful but there was some flowers that did not look so great. I also said I'd be out and about and would be happy to bring them by to show them. They said, sure, stop by. They also said the flowers were not sweet peas but were stocks and that is the way they look (wilted). So, before leaving I looked on their website and I did not see any roses or lilies with brown or wilted edging on them and images of their stocks did not look wilted. Additionally, I stopped by another florist on the way and bought some stocks to see how they were supposed to look -- on the off chance that I just did not what a healthy stock should look like. When I arrived a lady came out and I explained what I thought was not right. She then took it to a man in another room; came back and explained they were fine. I then suggested, as I had earlier, that they just replace a couple of the flowers that looked bad so she took it again to the back room. She returned without the flowers and said "We'll just credit your account". That was a tad painful and awful. I was shocked! I explained those flowers were a gift and that the person who sent them had every intention of sending a nice gift with meaning. She didn't seem to care. We had further discussion as I asked to have a note stating they would not charge the account since they had not yet and she did finally give me that. She was probably as kind is she is permitted! The icing on the cake was the man from the back room yelled out, "and they are STOCKS and NOT sweet peas" as a spoiled child; not a bit like a businessman who cares to keep his customers. Probably $5.00 - $10.00 of replaced flowers could have easily resolved this issue and I would have walked away a praising and grateful customer. Instead the order was not billed. It was never delivered, upon many tries of contacting the business by phone and by email. 20 days later, I reach out to the owner following up on a refund request I'd submitted weeks ago, only to get the following response. My phone was on silent for the past week, but there have not been any voicemails left. A friend from out of town wanted to send flowers to me and unfortunately for both of us ended up placing the order with Gudger's. Last Friday at 4:30pm I received a call from someone delivering flowers to my house, I was out and wasn't expecting to be home until 10:00pm, and the temperature outside was in the low 40's going down as it got later. The person wanted to leave them, but I asked her to return them to the shop, and asked why I hadn't received a call earlier so we could have avoided this mistake. Her attitude was dismissive, "just tell me what you want, I don't need to hear all of your thoughts on this." I asked her to text me the name and number of the shop, and that I would call the next day. When I called on Saturday, a very gruff man answered, told me they were very busy with funerals, and that someone would call me back after noon. I never received a call. Most of Monday went by before I called again, and I was told by the woman who answered the phone that she knew nothing about this and would have to call back Tuesday. She did, and to my utter disbelief insisted that someone had called me on Saturday but couldn't reach me. My cell phone shows no record of such a call, and when I told her that she kept saying that I was called. Then from the background I heard the gruff man refuse to deliver them again! I guess I'm just a sucker for punishment, but I went there to pick them up, mostly because I knew a friend had paid for them. I asked the woman at the desk why they didn't call Friday to arrange a delivery. She said they never called, and when I replied that I thought that was a bad business decision and that I felt obliged to tell others not to use them, there was no attempt to explain, no attempt to understand my displeasure, no care in their attitude. I would not use this florist ever again! The employees are rude and unprofessional!! My granddaughter had surgery and I wanted to send flowers to cheer her up - I ordered a spring bouquet with white daisies and pink roses plus other flowers that had a color scheme of pink and purple. The picture was on their website. What she got was nothing like that - she received some wilted flowers in fall colors. Gudger's delivered them on Saturday - Monday they were dead. I called the florist to complain and was told I didn't mark "no substitutions" - so they sent the arrangement with ugly wilted flowers they had in stock. After they were rude to me in two separate phone conversations, they called my granddaughter and were rude to her and hung up on her! Who does that? I placed an order online and confirmed my total. Later that evening I received the receipt with a different total that was charged to my account for $4.97 more than I agreed to. I called to dispute the charge and was told that they couldn't deliver to the address given for the price I paid and needed more. I explained that the address hadn't changed from when I placed the order, and I paid what the website asked. I told him he couldn't charge my card without my consent, to which the owner became very rude. I told him I would contact my card company and the BBB to get it resolved and we hung up. He called back about 10 minutes later and said he was going to drive out and get his flowers back. I told him he would not, as he did not know the circumstances for which the flowers were delivered. He said he "did me a favor" to deliver out by the airport. I explained that was the service I paid for, and he said he would be picking up the flowers anyway and hung up on me. He was completely disrespectful and without any feeling as he planned to TAKE BACK flowers that I paid for and had already been delivered, not knowing the reason that they were delivered. This has to be the worst experience with all our wedding planning. Try to have a conversation was impossible. The owner was simply impossible to work with. He jumped to the defense over the smallest disagreements or questions asked. He would not give details just said,"it will get done" or " yes I know" and expected me to be satisfied. Never details. Quick to down others in every way. When I chose to move forward and seek another florist he was making it difficult to receive my money back and delayed it everyday. Gorgeous flowers for our Mother and Grandparents! I have been ordering our saddle of flowers that adorn my Mother's head stone for the past several years from Gudger's Flowers. He personally does this himself as he wants to be sure they are on secure and look great. The saddles are huge and beautiful and have always stayed on until he returns to replace it every six months. They would last a year or more but we replace it to match the seasons. They have never come off even during the worst weather and still look vibrant for many months which tells me they are good quality silk flowers. I can base my review on years of ordering from Gudger's. I highly recommend to anyone use Gudger's if you want it done right. read more

I ordered flowers from the website for a funeral. The picture shown on the website had 10-12 large flowers, which should have been a good sized arrangement on a table. When the flowers were sent it looked more like a tea cup of flowers - only 3 roses, two daisies and some greenery - that is not $100 worth of flowers. I understand the same exact flowers are not guaranteed, but I do expect the same quantity and quality I paid for. This shop is run by unkind people, and it does not deserve your business. Gudger's provided, by far, the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I placed an order the Saturday before Mother's Day to have flowers delivered to my grandmother. The Gudger's website, in giant letters, advertised Mother's Day deliveries and when you clicked allowed you to choose Sunday, Mother's Day for delivery. The flowers were not delivered, and on Monday I got a note saying they were closed on Sundays. I called the shop and said that the website advertised Mother's Day delivery. The manager, rather than being accommodating, started a fight with me: He said if I looked at the fine print at the bottom of the homepage I would have seen the "store hours," which noted that they were closed Sundays. I said that, because it was the busiest delivery day of the year and again because the website *invited me to and then let me order flowers for Mother's Day delivery* I had assumed they would be delivered. He basically blew me off and eventually I hung up in frustration. I challenged the order on my credit card, since they were not delivered as I had ordered and the manager responded not by calling me to settle the dispute but *by calling and harassing my grandmother.* I'm amazed that someone so unhelpful is allowed to run a business. I will begin by stating that I have not stepped foot in the door of this business and never will. Let me explain why. I received a beautiful valentines plant from Gudger's. However, prior to receiving it, the gifting party had to take it home and remove the greenhouse's sticker and re-pot the plant. What was shown on their website was not what she received. Yet, this is not the issue that concerns me. This issue is between those creating the transaction. However, after writing the owner expressing disappointment, the gifting party received numerous emails back that were VERY rude and unprofessional. After reading the emails, I too posted a "one star" rating on their Facebook. This then prompted the owner to seek me out on Facebook and proceed to harass me about our dissatisfaction. In doing this he called out our mutual friends, threatening to ruin my name with them and then proceeded to tell me that I should expect a call from his lawyer on the basis of slander. *Horrible customer service* I don't usually buy flowers but needed something at a whim and expected the experience to be 'welcoming' and 'friendly'...I mean, it's a flower shop for goodness sakes! I had seen something on their website and thought I could explain the arrangement (which was fairly unique) in minor detail and since they advertise it a s one of their 'popular' arrangements surely they would be able to figure out what I was looking for? My question was met with an unfriendly/unaccommodating attitude as if I was 'inconveniencing' the elderly service representative. I asked if we could just look at their website and I could point it out but I felt like i was talking Greek and pushing another 'inconvenient' request on her as she told me to go home, get the 'item #' and *maybe* they would get to it tomorrow. My 'happy day' outlook were finally squashed and I didn't feel like getting anyone flowers at that point. What a killjoy.
