We interviewed almost…read moreevery major company in the area and select DK based on recommendations from our local FB group as our town sees dormers often, cost of project being comparable to our second choice company, and time to complete being much shorter than anyone else. We lived in the house during the project with 3 very young boys so time to complete was one of the two biggest deciding factors for us. We had to pause the process early in the quotes stage due to a personal loss and I will never forget the kind words Tommy, an owner, shared when we told him why we wanted to pause. There was zero pressure or scare tactics used to continue then unlike some other vendors and that conversation is what sealed the decision for us once we were ready again. Once we got the start date, the construction went fast. Angel and Blake were great project managers. Angel was so loved by our boys since he would always interact with them as soom as he arrived which was right around when they were heading to school. He showed them around when the curiosity got to them and made sure they basically had a red carpet treatment as they came home from school. Both Angel and Blake kept us in the loop of every stage and the crew works incredibly hard. They showed up on weekends when they expected bad weather, cleaned up after themselves so well, and let us know when things would get loud so we knew to leave home for that time. Blake was great with giving us suggestions since home building/designing is not our forte and we ended up going with pretty much all his recommendations. We like that the back office team seems to do a great job with all the backend work too. Tommy checked in often which we loved seeing and when we did run into an issue, he quickly resolved it.

They just completed a 1 and 1/2 story dormer over 3+ months on a neighbor's house. No dumpster!!!! Building debris, boxes, lunch garbage from workers all just dropped on the front lawn to blow all over the neighborhood. My yard was their personal dumpster area. Think about it!
