Guerilla Organics provides a great service. The boxes are always super well packed, the produce is amazing quality and there is a great variety. You always get some seasonal staples and then there are usually a few unusual selections. I've learned so much about vegetables and what's in season in the Bay by getting these deliveries! It was always so much fun getting the box and then planning our meals for the week. If there's something really special in the box, Martha will often send an email with some facts and recipes which was always appreciated. And Martha, who does the deliveries is such a delight. Very personable and always delivers with care. They have also always been super flexible regarding travel and holding deliveries, easy just to email or text your requirements. Just got my first delivery from Guerrilla Organics and had a chance to meet Martha. Oh my goodness!! The produce is abundant and beautiful: watermelon, collards, tomatoes, summer squash, broccoli, beets, grapefruit, pluot, nectarines, little potatoes and a head of lettuce. All in one box. When our previous CSA closed their program, a neighbor referred us to Guerrilla Organics, and I am really happy she did. We get a diverse selection of local fruits and veggies in our box, and they are always clean, fresh and delicious looking, and delivered right to our door. They reuse the boxes and avoid plastic packaging. Martha's email communications about unusual items or interesting selections are always helpful and she includes recipes. She also pays careful attention to the likes and dislikes of her customers - I am always happy to eat what's in our box. I also don't get bored from getting the same thing every week, like i used to with our old service. Since COVID, Martha has done everything imaginable to ensure the safety of everyone involved. I rarely write a review... But I am doing it now because my husband's recent comment reminds my appreciation toward to Guerrilla Organics. I am (as a freelance architect) always at/back home earlier than my husband, so I have been "the food and fridge manager" forever. Last Tuesday, my husband felt sick and head home early. He managed to find the box securely hidden in a bush at our building's front-yard, and he was so amazed by the beautiful abundant box : 1 bunch of kale 3 bunches of bok choy 3 big tomatoes, 1 basket of baby tomatoes 1 jicama 2 onions 3 peaches 2 pearls 3 corns 1 yellow bell pepper 1 basket of strawberries 1 grapefruit 1 cucumber He excitedly told me again and again (almost forgot that he was having flu) as the products are so very fresh and abundant. Martha also intentionally put the box under shade, added extra leaves to cover the items to keep them well moisturized. I told him those facts many times but never got his much attention. He has not got to see and open the box for a while. So there are 2 tips: 1/ Do not keep the joy of opening the box to yourself, share to double that joy :) :) 2/ Do not talk to get your partner's attention, show it instead. We have been getting the service for 1 year and really love the way they take care of everything: from meticulous choice for super fresh products, well-balanced (They are great cooks I guess) to informative recipes; from customizing box based on our favorites to details of how items sit nicely all together in a box. We have never had any problem with schedule or invoice. Martha printed invoices for the first boxes then I prefer paperless and she is great on both email & phone. We never expect them to run their business as CEOs of a high-tech company. But we are delighted to know Mark and Martha who really put their souls into their works! read more

I never write reviews, but I want to support this business and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! I've been looking for a grocery delivery services for MONTHS and just couldn't pull the trigger. I had a few criteria, I wanted it to be a small/family owned business, I wanted it to be local and not big box deliveries like Amazon. I needed it to be easy and thoughtless. I toyed with the idea of Instacart and New Eggs, but I don't want to pick all the items individually. I'm trying to streamline my life; just give me a week of groceries with vegetables and fruits that are delicious. I wanted it to be affordable. Wa-la! Guerilla Organics. My second box just arrived, delivered by hand from Martha. We greeted each other by name. She remembered my husbands name. My very first box, they gave us a loaf of bread, a CD and a handwritten note. Where do you get this type of service anymore??? I'm not disappointed with my second box either. A ton of vegetables and fruits, all delicious, lots of flavor, all fresh and delivered to your door. I absolutely HATE grocery shopping, and now, I'm excited about groceries again! They are so so affordable and taste better than groceries at Whole Foods, at a fraction of the cost. Their website is super easy. You pick from a handful of options, vegetables and fruit, fruit only, raw only, etc. Pick the delivery preference (weekly, bi-weekly), pay and you're done. I absolutely love them. Guerilla is not especially organized. The customer service, delivery schedule, and communication was not smooth leaving our household to wonder if buying our own produce would be easier. A monthly invoice in the box would help everyone keep track. Our box was mostly fresh but the box makers are stingy--think one tiny mango and five massive russet potatoes. I'm not sure these folks are dishonest but I'd unclick the box if I could. read more

Eating organically is the most important component of my diet--and sometimes, the most expensive.... Guerrilla Organics delivers a customized box of awesome produce that is considerably less costly than what you find in the organic section at the supermarket. Mark and Martha both enjoy discerning your taste and catering to it. I enjoy getting items I rarely see or wouldn't get for myself, and have been pleasantly surprised by finding dandelion greens; heirloom varieties of turnips, potatoes, eggplant, etc.; cherimoyas, pomelos, daikon. I have a garden as well, and it's a bonus to be able to tell them I don't need vegetables i have plenty of, and them add them back on when the season ends. The boxes are well packed, the items are placed in reusable mesh bags and there is written information regarding the properties and health benefits of the fruits or vegetables you may not be too familiar with. What we most appreciated was that we were able to provide a list of likes and dislikes which allowed us a basket tailored to our tastes. There is nothing better to come home to than a beautiful box of organic produce sitting on your front porch! .... okay maybe if there was a hot man in the kitchen cooking the organic produce that would be better....but all in all this is a great service. My first box was HUGE and had a great balance between fruits & veggies, and between things you can eat raw and the cook-ables. In total -- a small head of romaine, bag of spring greens, big bunch of spinach, small bunch of rainbow chard, a couple rainbow carrots, two beets, two zuchinni, huge head of cabbage, a bag of snap peas, 4 grapefuits, two white nectarines, a mango, pint of strawberries, a cantaloupe, 3 big tomatoes, 4 avocados. I wanted to support this small business but was very disappointed. The produce I was given was not the best quality. Additionally, I was charged for not returning the used cardboard box the produce came in and was never told that if didn't return the box I'd be fined. When I cancelled the service there was no attempt to retain me as a customer. Instead I was greeted with rude comments. Their nice, big boxes allow you to shop local, save money on fruit and vegetables, and enlarge you culinary skills when you get exotic things like celeriac, bok choy, little purple potatoes, and other things. The produce is always fresh and bursting with flavor, and you can indicate your preferences in an e-mail (and also say if you'll be traveling). We've really loved our boxes from Guerilla Organics. Martha is extremely personable and always pays attention to personal details. For example, we recently placed our deliveries on hold, yet PayPal charged us. Martha & Mark immediately noticed this, got in touch with us, and corrected it. They are awesome! this is great for people who don't have the time to go to the store. i would equate their produce to place like rainbow or whole foods. all i've gotten has been fresh, good variety, and the fruit very sweet. i found martha to be very friendly, accommodating, and a pleasure to interact with. i live in an apartment, and was able to give them a front door key which made things even easier since i didn't like the idea of having to hang around for it. i loved the surprise of different vegetables i didn't choose myself just magically showing up at my door and having extra free time! read more

My neighbors are incredible anal people and even the tiniest sound angers them, Mark and Martha have been incredibly respectful in coming and going from our building. I trust them completely and so appreciate the ease of giving them a key to our building so they can access our apartment even when I am not home. I've been subscribing to Guerilla Organics for several months now and the experience has been nothing but excellent. I enjoy coming home on delivery day to the box of beautifully chosen fresh organic fruits and vegetables at my apartment door. The produce is a good value and I use the time saved shopping to cook more, and subscribing to the boxes has had a good influence on my diet. The contents of the boxes (I receive the standard box) is diverse and well-balanced, including a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, and sometimes herbs. I LOVE getting boxes from Guerrilla! The abundance and variety has been fantastic, and always something a little off my beaten path that I might not have bothered to pick up myself but enjoy like crazy: patty pan squash, rutabega, exquisite dinosaur egg pluots, cauliflower... I like these boxes more than the other (huge) box company I have dealt with because I don't feel like I'm just getting the same food I could have gotten myself at the grocery store. Martha has been sensitive to my requests, including needing to skip a week, attentive to food preferences and tendencies, efficient, reliable, and great to communicate with.
