Came on a weekday places packed, but you should be able to find a spot for yourself since the space is also pretty big. I got a strawberry Matcha and also a crepe cake. Definitely come back again strawberry top incorporated very well with the Matcha perfectly balance
Velvet matcha (3.5/5) Sub with oat milk, less sweet Matcha flavor could be stronger but it was a very light and refreshing matcha I love the inside of this coffee shop for doing work
Can we talk about how cute the cups and drinks are? Presentation is everything. Obsessed! We got the velvet matcha cloud, and I did really enjoy our beverages. although I felt the matcha was lacking a bit. You can see due to its very light color. There was some green at the bottom of the cup that we did mix in with a stirrer but I prefer my matcha much darker with less ice. & That's just my opinion. It was still really good though! I will definitely be back to try all of the other drinks!
THIS. is by far my favorite cafe in san francisco. the matcha, hojicha, and espresso are just absolutely phenomenal. i don't drink much of my drinks at 50% but i could do the 50% here, although i usually still opt for even less sugar or just 0 sugar. they roast their own beans and you can even smell the notes of all the different beans available. the matcha is really rich and so is the hojicha. their cream tops are so smooth and just blends right into their drinks. i cannot express how great the experience is for san francisco cafe. i love stopping by after my morning pilates and just getting some work done too. they have outlets so if you want to study here, it is the perfect spot in terms of pricing, it is relative to all cafe prices around here too so i would highly recommend getting your money's worth here
I saw this place in a youtube video and it looked so aesthetic and unique that I decided I had to come and give it a try. The lady that I was watching was there for the matcha and I can understand why now. We tried the Yuzu Matcha Air Cloud and a Caramel Latte because I felt like we needed to try the coffee since it's a Coffee shop though I have to say I was not a fan of the coffee. We arrived just before the line outside started to form. There's seating available inside with a couple of people that seemed to be working. We originally sat in the middle section with the small round table that can't be moved but then a table opened up. There's a gender neutral restroom available that always seemed to have a line though I guess that's what happens at coffee shops. ~~Service: Good. It was quick to order and surprisingly very quick to receive our drinks as well. ~~Best Part: The Matcha. The coffee was a bit too bitter but it could be due to the fact that I do prefer to drink dark roasts. ~~Worst Part: Nit though maybe it's just me where we were expecting there to be a trash at the entrance so that we could throw away our cups as we were leaving but I guess there's no room for the bins at the beginning so you have to walk to the back towards the restroom to throw it away. ~~Tips: Get the matcha. I wanted to get the velvet but it looked so basic compared to the Yuzu matcha air cloud. The Yuzu flavor itself was refreshing in the foam form but I'm very basic when it comes to flavors and shouldn't have mixed the foam in because it was messing with me. ~~Return: Probably not. I wanted to check the receipt because somehow 2 drinks was nearly $20 but I realized there wasn't even an option to get a receipt.
My wife and I came here to try out the yuzu matcha latte and an espresso foam latte. The yuzu matcha latte foam was awesome as it had a good amount of yuzu flavor. The matha was very smooth and not sweet. The espresso foam latte that my wife got was extremely sweet so I didn't like it, but the espresso foam was the highlight of the drink.
I wish the drinks were larger for the cost. 3.5 stars. A lot of variety of drinks and flavor combinations of coffee and matcha. The interior is minimal. The tables get full during the weekday round 9:30AM. I order a matcha drink tonic which was pretty good. The staff measures out each and every drink, but due to high demand, all drinks are premade. A ton of fruit flavor items mixed with coffee or matcha, like orange espresso or matcha. Matcha cloud drinks are also super delicious. Overall, the matcha flavor is there, but I've had better more tasty matcha that cost less.
This is definitely one of my top 3 favorite matcha spots in the Bay Area and is worth the drive no matter where you're coming from! The matcha is strong, made to order, and served in the perfect-sized cups. I got the Matcha Cloud and my mom got the Strawberry Matcha Cloud, and both were the perfect level of sweetness. The foam was the perfect finishing touch! There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly, and we luckily found parking right up front. Our drinks came out pretty quickly, and the staff were so nice. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!
Day Visited: Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday Price Range: $$ Parking: Street or metered parking Ordered: Mocha Dream Espresso Cloud, Velvet Hojicha Cloud, Nitro Mango Our favorite SF coffee shop to date! On the days we have gone, the line has varied from being out the door to a quick walk in and order - truly just depends. Regardless of the long line, these drinks are soooo good. Upon entering the coffee shop, you'll see a good amount of seating, but for the times we have gone, the majority of the seats are taken. It is definitely a variety of people socializing, working, reading books, or just hanging out. Parking is metered or street parking, and we haven't had any issue finding parking! It's also in an area where you can shop around (across the street) if you want to grab a bite as well. Our go to orders include the Mocha Dream Espresso Cloud and the Nitro Mango, but we have also gotten the Hojicha Cloud, which is amazing as well. We love the thickness and flavors of the cold foams - you cannot go wrong with any of the cloud drinks. As popular as this place has become, it truly is worth the trip! We will always make a trip whenever we are in the city!
Cafe with a good amount of working space and natural lighting. It was very busy though and a lot of the seats were taken up. Staff was kind and patient with explaining drinks, especially since this location is newer. I got the caramel latte cloud espresso and really enjoyed it!! All drinks come 50% sweet, which is great for someone like me who doesn't like things too sugar-y. The cold foam on top was light and delicious. They only had one size and it was pretty big cup. The applewood bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on brioche bread was also amazing. Very savory, not too heavy either. It was mostly just bread though. Definitely coming back to try their other drinks when I'm in the area!
Lots of seating inside, saw a lot of people doing work or journaling. Love how big and spacious is and the decorations and vibes are super cute. I got the Yuzu matcha air cream cloud. The drink itself was creamy and smooth and wasn't too sweet. The matcha itself was not too strong and tasted more on the lighter side. I wasn't too sure if I liked the Yuzu matcha cream cloud, while it was light and fluffy the flavor wasn't for me. The Yuzu was too citrusy and overpowering and I was really glad the Yuzu was only in the cream cloud and not in the rest of the drink.

I also think it's cool they have like a coffee bean sniffing station where u can smell the different beans they have. I loved the mocha cream cloud. Chocolatey and rich without being overly sweet. The strawberry matcha was also super fun.
I got invited here to shoot some content for them, and I'm very glad for that opportunity. Content aside, I did genuinely enjoy their drinks. The strawberry matcha was my favorite. They used a strawberry cream top instead of a puree, which I actually enjoyed. It added a nice creaminess to the drink, and the matcha was very smooth and strong. It worked well together. I also tried their double hojicha, and while I enjoyed how nutty and strong the hojicha was, I did find it a little bit grainy. I wish it was a little smoother like the matcha was. I usually don't drink/like coffee, but the guava cold brew sounded so interesting I couldn't resist. The fruity jasmine tea somehow paired so well with the coffee and made it a nice refreshing drink. I was also lucky enough to try the matcha crepe cake, which I believe they get from Lady M. It had really nice layers and was light, but unfortunately it was a little too sweet for me. Overall a very solid matcha/coffee option in SF. They have a beautiful interior too, perfect for catching up with friends. Servers were sweet as well!
This cafe is so nice! Heard a lot about this cafe before coming, so I knew how busy it gets. But we were lucky and beat a big crowd in line so the wait wasn't too bad. We were also able to get seats despite it being busy. My partner and I got the strawberry matcha cloud and yuzu matcha cloud, though we were also tempted by the seasonal ube flavors. Both were great - on the sweeter side, but that was perfect for a hot afternoon. We ate most of the yuzu foam like ice cream because it was so tall lol then we mixed it into the drink. I think that was a good call because if we mixed all the yuzu foam into the drink, it might have overwhelmed the matcha flavor. Overall had a great time visiting this cafe and enjoyed our drinks. Would definitely come back again to try other drinks on the menu! read more

It took me a while to get back here, but I finally made it. There was a very small line - I waited maybe 10 minutes at the most. I tried the strawberry Matcha cloud this time and it was so much better than what I got before, and I genuinely enjoyed it. I look forward to going back again and trying some other things! My first experience, there was not the best because my friend got rancid milk in their Matcha, but the the shop contacted me and let me know that they made changes to prevent something like that from happening again. I really respect and appreciate how they handled the situation. read more

I loved their matcha! I ordered the strawberry cloud matcha which is sweet but not too sweet. The cloud was nice and thick. I enjoyed the dried strawberries on top-nice touch! And the cups are very durable which appreciate. The place is on the corner with limited parking but we managed to find a spot. The restaurant is nice with a good amount of small tables. It was very busy and a long line but we didn't wait too long. The service was decent. The bathrooms were trashed and there was no toilet paper. It was not near closing either. read more
We ordered the velvet matcha cloud and the yuzu air cloud matcha latte. Yuzu Air Cloud Matcha Latte: Both were quite good although I think I preferred the velvet matcha cloud more since the heavy cream is slightly less distracting than yuzu from the matcha. The yuzu air cloud matcha was unique though, all the yuzu flavor was in the cream which was not too tart and had a nice flavor to it. I also just really wanted the whipped top which was very cute. The matcha was quite good as well and one of the better ones in the City in my opinion. Lady M Crepe Cake: We also got a matcha crepe cake to share and it was really good since it's Lady M. The cake is awesome and the crepes are a really nice thinness. Overall, would come back once in a while for their drinks, since they are a little expensive, but definitely worth a try! read more

Tried one of each type of drink they had and everything was delicious. Line was definitely long on a weekend morning but was well worth it. Service was quick too, they do a good job managing the rush and brining out drinks in a timely manner. Inside is beautiful as well. read more

I've been wanting to try Q speciality for the longest time so it was fun to add this to my matcha crawl list. Line gets long but ordering goes pretty quickly. I had a hard time choosing between matcha drinks so all my friends and I got different drinks to try. I was a bit nervous seeing the batch make their matcha but the matcha profile was very strong. My favorite would probably be the matcha yuzu latte or the strawberry matcha latte. The strawberry foam was a cream cheese foam so it made it so creamy. I'm mainly taking a star away is because they batch made and for a matcha latte average around $9 which is crazy for the portions. I heard great things about their coffee so I definitely need to try that next. read more
A great place for curated gourmet coffees, matcha and other drinks with a superb pastry selection to match. Bright clean Modern minimalist decor with tiny little round tables just big enough for a laptop and your beverage of choice. Friendly service and definitely fast service midweek, though seating can be a little tight due to everyone camping out here "working from home". :) I really just wanted something simple like the drip coffee, black, no room, but they were out! Hey.. isn't this a coffeehouse!??? lol So I went for the Mocha and a blueberry scone. The Mocha was on point but I have to say the scone had a remarkable moist and almost airy texture with plenty of blueberries. 5/5 on the scone, 4.5/5 on the mocha. The servers were all friendly and seemed to enjoy being here as much as I was! I would love to come back again anytime I am nearby, especially midweek when there aren't any lines! read more

Ambiance: Q Specialty Coffee is a vibrantly bright coffee shop in Presidio Heights with lots of natural lighting and tables to complete work or just relax with family or friends before starting your day. The coffee bar is open with the ability to see baristas making drinks as ordered with also a display for pastries to pair with the drinks. Service: The baristas were extremely friendly and diligent on getting drinks swiftly made to order, while also being knowledgeable and helpful with questions on the menu. Wait time: Less than 10 minutes between ordering of food / drink and it being ready when going at 10am on a Sunday. Matcha: The Velvet matcha had a good matcha flavor without being overly sweet and a good balance between ice and actual drink. The matcha foam that goes on top is also not excessive while providing a more deep flavor profile that the actual drink lacks a little in. They do also have lids on a side table to allow for you to take your drink on the go with both a straw option and sip lid built into the same top. The matcha crepe cake was okay but did not really have a strong matcha taste to it and the crepes themselves were not very flavorful either. For Presidio Heights, Q Specialty Coffee is a solid tasting matcha with plenty of natural lighting and a great place to catch up with friends or colleagues while enjoying a beverage. read more

The line was out the door for this one but it moves quick! We got a bunch of different drinks to try. Hojicha with strawberry cream -- 7/10. The strawberry cream was the best part but the flavor of the hojicha drink itself could be stronger. I like the little strawberry bits on top because it added a nice crunch. Hojicha with hojicha cream -- 8/10. The cream again was AMAZING but the drink itself could do with some more flavor. Matcha with strawberry cream -- 7/10. The matcha flavor of the drink itself could be stronger but the cream was great. Matcha with Yuzu cream -- 9/10. This one was a bit more pricey than the others but the cream had SUCH a strong yuzu flavor and it mixed well with the matcha and made a matcha yuzu drink. read more
We went on a Saturday morning and there was a small line - about 15 min so not bad at all. We got the strawberry hojicha and the strawberry matcha lattes. They also have Lady M crepe cake slices here! We tried the Dubai chocolate one and it was good. read more
I live for this Matcha. Plenty of street parking available in the area. I've usually gone in the morning and the line isn't bad- moves quick. You have to use the QR code to see the breakdown of the menu. My favorite is the velvet matcha. It is so creamy and has the perfect sweetness. Honestly wish I had 100 of them. Staff is friendly and their gluten free brownie is pretty good. There are some tables but they are pretty small and the place gets busy. There is not a great place to wait for drinks, so sometimes I feel like I'm in the way. They are quick though, so that is not long. Can't wait to come back! read more

Line is a bit long on the weekends but it moves quickly. Took about 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon to order. Got a variety of drinks Hojicha w strawberry cream 8/10 - sweet and nutty but it personally could be stronger flavor wise, the strawberry bits were a good addition though Hojicha w hojicha creams 8/10 - similar to the strawberry needs a stronger flavor wise Matcha cloud 7/10 - the matcha was decent but the cream was really good (but it is close to $9...) The interior was nice and modern with a decent amount of seating. More suited for grab and go since the tables are quite small. read more
Q Specialty Coffee is poppin'! We were across the way when we noticed the cafe. My companion shared that it's a popular spot, and since my Dad wanted coffee, we chose to walk over. On a weekend afternoon, it was packed. The line was out the door, and there were no seats. The line goes by fast. You order and pay, and wait for your name to be called. Most of the people here were working while hanging out. The interior is sleek, modern, and vibey. The service by the workers was kind, and they felt bad about getting my name wrong, lol. So I was intrigued by their Yuzu Matcha Air Cream Cloud, which I got with Oat Milk. The barista warned me it would be citrusy. As a Japanese girlie obsessed with yuzu, this didn't scare me; it made me even more excited! The drink was topped with a large amount of foam. The yuzu foam was airy, citrusy, and light--you could taste it well! Upon mixing, it was nicely balanced. I was a fan. They're also known for their coffee, which is a specialty. My Dad and his friend enjoyed their coffees, noting they were strong and good. I'd love to come back to try their other matchas, seeing most customers got that. Q Specialty Coffee is a spot to try out if you're a coffee or matcha drinker. I'd come back to grab another matcha! As some reviews have mentioned, there was a line to order drinks. The wait overall was not long and our drinks came out maybe 10 minutes after ordering. The cafe itself is very spacious and bright with plenty of seats. We ordered the coco water strawberry cloud and velvet hojicha cloud. The cloud on both drinks were very good! They were thick, creamy, and had good flavor. The hojicha tasted nutty and smooth. read more

The matcha yuzu cloud had a beautiful presentation and the yuzu foam was so refreshing and blended well with the matcha. The matcha itself isn't the best quality but the cloud foam is solid. My favorite tho was the mango nitro. The mango juice added the perfect amount of sweetness and the coffee was sooo smooth. I finished it in less than 5 minutes. This spot was on our list to try while in SF. It was pretty cool to smell the different coffee bean options We ordered two pour over coffees, a hot latte and two strawberry matchas. They didn't offer cinnamon powder or heavy cream. A bit over priced for what you get. Street parking was a bit of a challenge. read more
Q Specialty Coffee is a super popular, trendy, modern, matcha and coffee drink store. There's usually a line out the door to order. Inside, it's modern with plenty of small, light wooden desks to work or hang out. The first time I came on the weekend, the line was so long, I left. The second time I came on a rainy Tuesday afternoon and there was only a short line inside. I ordered the strawberry matcha cloud, which was an organic matcha latte with strawberry cloud foam on top, plus crumbs of dried strawberries. The matcha was pretty good. The strawberry cloud foam was a nice touch. There was only one size and it was $8.25 plus tax. There was a line, but it went fast! The aesthetic of this spot is cute and it's pretty big for an sf cafe. I liked that even with the foam, the drinks are not too sweet. They're also a good size and worth the price! read more
Q Specialty Coffee is a nice neighborhood addition. Very popular! Even with Starbucks and Peets here, this place is great as they have great coffee and matcha drinks. Our favorite is the Velvet Matcha Cloud. It's creamy and delicious. Not bitter as with some matcha drinks. The Mille cakes are good but we don't care for their other food, especially not the shredded steak cheese burrito which according to my hubby tasted like freezer section microwave burritos. Tried them when they first opened and got the velvet matcha and it was not that good. It had very light matcha flavor, tasted more milk than matcha. Gave it another try today and got the coconut matcha and the coconut water is sour and yellow. Good service with nice ambiance but would not come back after 2 disappointing drinks and they were not cheap either. read more

Both the coffee and matcha were delicious! The difference between the triple matcha (with whipped matcha foam) and the velvet matcha was a bit confusing, but the velvet matcha was delicious, strong, and a fun experience! The flat white with whole milk and single-origin, Ethiopian beans was absolutely delicious! You can really taste the freshness of the coffee's roast. It was so interesting to learn about the zero-emissions in-house Bellwether roasting process. There was also a coffee scent bar where you could compare the scents of different bean origins prior to ordering! The baristas were friendly and personable despite the afternoon rush! read more

I ordered the velvet matcha and hojicha and both were delicious. The cream tops were nice and fluffy, not too liquidy. The matcha flavor actually came through in the drink and the hojicha was nice and nutty. The cafe itself was pretty big. Lots of seating with great big windows. The drinks came out quickly but there wasn't a large line when I ordered. read more
