It's convenient and cheap. The room was clean. They have a soda machine outside the office that they claim they don't control but clearly do. It take your money drops the drinks but they don't come out. The office can't and won't help. So stay but get drinks from somewhere else they're clearly scamming for Pennie's at this point. read more

The hotel itself is okay. But upon checking out the room I found that the coffee accessories were open, the bath tub was repainted and it was pealing, and the room had a bad perfume odor. The saving grace was that the sheets appeared clean, but it was not worth the amount of money I paid, although it is pet friendly (for a fee). It's Olympic Inn & Suites now. It's... Okay. Not fancy, not great, but a perfectly adequate hotel. The room we stayed in was pretty dated but just fine for an overnight rest. They were renovating other rooms so that means it's getting better! Pros: - Surprisingly large room with lots of space. - Comfy beds with 4 pillows per bed. Pillows were medium soft and I liked them. - Ginormous flat screen TV. - Effective heater/AC unit in the main area. It's the kind where you pick hot/cold and hi/low and it continuously runs. The low setting isn't too loud yet effectively masks most of the road noise. - Desk with lamp, outlets, and decent office chair. - Pretty clean. Wasn't afraid to set my stuff down or snuggle into the bed. - Cozy towels and plenty of them. - Pretty affordable. My stay was $89 after tax. - Fridge hiding in the cabinet under the TV. - Very effective (albeit weird-looking) bedlamps. - Toilet clean and worked well, and has a hi/low flush buttom on the top to conserve water. - Wifi of decent speed and password-secured. - Lots of food options in the surrounding area. Cons: - All of the road noise. Never been so thankful for heater/AC noise to help mask it. - Gross coffee. Really bad. - The heater in the bathroom was rusty and ragged. I was too afraid to turn it on. - Gross ironing board provided, complete with what looks like mold spots. - Shower bare minimum passable. Soap/shampoo cheap, showerhead adequate but not great, and the temp controls aren't very effective. Water's always within tolerable parameters in terms of pressure and temperature, but you kinda get what you get. - General "low rent" feel: Dated, cheap, etc. Overall, adequate. Wouldn't go out of my way to stay at Olympic Inn & Suites again, but wouldn't be opposed to it either. Though I'm curious to see what comes of the renovations they're doing. read more

"Aberdeens Finest" - I hope not. Rolled into town after a day of driving the coast. I wish I would've have drove another 20 minutes to Westport (do it if you can and are looking for a place to stay, wont regret it) Hotel is located right on the main road of town and we fell prey to the convenience of that. Rooms look like something out of a 1980's horror movie and I might have even cozied up to a blood stain on the bedspread. Was it cold? No, that was just the hole in the blanket from a cig burn. Carpet has seen better days. Reminded me of the floors you see at arcades that are sticky, smelly, and hard and wonder what kind of story they would tell if they could talk. Room was noisy, was woken up at 3 am to neighbors in a domestic dispute and wanted more than anything to cradle my .45 but unfortunately I left it at home. On the plus side, breakfast was good. My stomach was feeling "grrreat" after Tony the Tiger and his frosted flakes help me nurse my nightmares of ever thinking about having to stay there again. read more

I have to start out by saying, we are used to nice hotels. But when my husbands job site put him in Aberdeen we only had sketchy motel options. We stumbled upon Olympic inn motel. The rooms are very well priced, in fact the motel gave my husband a discount for staying an extended period of time. The room he got was a second floor queen. It was very large, had a sleeper sofa, desk, table, 2 sinks, fridge, wifi, chair, microwave, and tv. It's outdated but it's clean! The front desk staff was very friendly and the breakfast was free and included waffles! My only complaint would be that the bed wasn't very comfortable. Very firm mattress. This place needs to up it's game. Seriously. I stayed here for one night, and though the room itself was comfortable (sort of... we'll get into that in a minute), I was not impressed with the place. Would I stay here again? Maybe... I mean, it was pretty cheap for a Friday night, same day booking, but it wasn't a great experience. The good: check-in was easy. The woman at the front desk seemed nice, and though I'm not sure her English was very good, she got me checked in quickly without having to fill out a ton of paperwork. Room was clean, and once the lights were on, and the heater running, it managed to even be inviting. They had a fridge and microwave, which is always a plus, and a little desk to set up a computer or workstation on. The meh: King bed was spacious, but not very soft. Hard springs, so when you plopped down, it would sharply bounce you back up. I took 2 showers during my stay, and both times, after about 8-10 minutes the water would start to get cold. Not only that, but when the tub was in "shower mode", water was spewing out of the nozzle below even though the shower head was working fine. Perhaps a broken seal somewhere? Room was really cold when I first got in. The bathroom clearly has a problem sealing in heat, so I had to turn on the bathroom heater to full, and keep the door mostly closed. Same with the main room... cold. Had to run heater all night long to stay warm. The bad: Service. Terrible. I was having problems signing into the wifi, which was giving me the error of "incorrect password". I tried it on 2 phones, and a laptop. Asked front desk about it, and showed her the error. She wrote down the wifi password again, as if I had forgotten what it was, even though I literally showed her on my phone that it wasn't accepting that password. She eventually called the owner (I assume, or perhaps someone who spoke better English), and the woman explained that I needed to go into my settings and "forget the network" and try again. I told her that I wasn't even getting in, but she strongly asserted that I try this and that there are 4 networks that the site has, and they all have the same password. I tried her method to no avail. I then went to the front desk and told the woman of my predicament. She just stared at me, and kept saying "uh...". I asked her if she could please reset the router, as that sometimes fixes these kinds of internet problems. Again, just staring and "uh...". "All right, then...", and I went back to my room frustrated, then had an idea: I walked around the site and checked all the other networks. 2 out of 4 networks the password worked, and the other 2 had "no internet connection" or "wrong password". I went back to the desk to inform them of the situation, and the woman at the front desk just stared at me. I told her that there is something wrong with networks 3 and 4, and that she really should reset the routers or check the passwords. Nothing. Just more staring. After 3 different complaints and conversations, you'd think some action would be taken. Nope! All in all, the experience was meh. I mean, if you just need a room to sleep in, and perhaps a place to store some leftovers in the fridge for later. This will do in a pinch. It's pretty cheap, after all. Your place is great. I'm recommending it to a location scout I know. 'My Cousin Vinny' couldn't have done better. The 3:30AM train? Brilliant! Pros. Great friendly staff. Clean fresh smelling rooms. Crisp linens. Extra pillows and towels in the room as requested. Great heater. Hot water and lots of it. HBO! The gas station carries Widmer Brothers Hefe. Pizza delivered to your room. Fantastic breakfast! Eggs,  biscuits, sausage and gravy. DIY Belgian waffles. We're great! There were also the standard continental brekkie faves. What's not to like?   Cons According to folks who were on the 'wrong' side of the inn, a train went by at 3:30AM. My room was on the gas station side. I didn't hear or feel a thing. More like 3.5 stars, but I decided to round up instead of down because the room itself was very nice. We decided to chance "Aberdeen's Finest" because this place actually seemed like the least sketchy place in town after I read some reviews. Since there were three of us, we ended up with two queen beds in room 217 for $79. Not bad. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the inside of our room did not match the grimy, aged exterior. Outdated, sure, but very clean and not a trace of smoke. The room was spacious and equipped with a spotless fridge, microwave, and hair dryer. The heater worked like a charm and got us nice and toasty within 5 minutes. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well without hearing a peep from the neighbors. The only minuses were the extras- I think because our room was directly in the middle of the motel we were between two routers and the Internet hardly worked. Also the breakfast was a little disappointing. After trying the Raisin Bran and finding it to be stale, I went back for some "honey Nut Cheerios" and found them to be all Cheerios and no honey nut. This was disappointing to me because I only eat cold cereal at hotel continental breakfasts and tend to savor that experience more than most. Beyond that they offered waffles, English muffins, and blueberry muffins. If you want a clean, decently priced room, look no further. But you might want to pick up a box of cereal. read more

The front desk person is not so friendly and the office is dark... I can hardly read the receipt due to poors lighting. The room is okay though the bed is so hard, when I checked the matress , it looks like its a box spring. If I we were not so tired from driving for 6 hours we will just checked out and look for a better Motel but we were tired so we just tried to made it through the night. I woke up with a bad back ache. We checked out the next day and moved to a different Motel. The 2 stars is for the breakfast and for the WIFI. read more

What a complete disaster. Bed was hard as a rock..maybe some folks like that. Pretty poor water pressure, the heating system was difficult to regulate, when it was on it was too hot and when it kicked off it was too cold before it would kick back on. All the plugs were loose and some didn't work including lights and the switch to the bathroom. The switch had to be forced for the light to work at all. Maybe they need a fire inspection before they have an electrical fire. The worst part was there was a couple fighting below me after midnight, yelling and slamming stuff around-doors included multiple times. The front door was very loose and the wind rattled the door all night long. Needless to say I got about 3 hours of sleep. I waited to leave the hotel until the office was open at 8. I come out to Aberdeen maybe once every three months, and have never stayed at a hotel down here. Normally just a day drive, but I thought of doing a mini vacation. I got in late, check in was no problem and was given my key and went to my room. At first the key took at least 5 times to get in, and it's dark and I'm by myself. I finally get in and just want to lay down. The only the thing is, right by the bed is a huge door. Made me very uneasy. I let it go and realize I need to use the rest room, I about lost it. It looked like someone had just been in there. Towels on the floor and beard trimmings in the sink. I go immediately to the front desk, and even he's confused. Gives me a different room, and it's twice as nice. Checked the bathroom, everything is in order. Still a weird door, but everything is clean. Location is weird, it's on a one way street and the gas station down the road is sketchy. I went to pick up bottled water and there were five guys outside, and so I decided to drive and find a different gas station. Where the teller let me know that the location of the hotel is incredibly sketchy at night and to be careful. All in all the hotel by itself, and the staff are good. But I'm very uneasy staying here, and will probably spend a little more for a safer feeling hotel. read more

The area around the motel initially seemed kind of sketchy -- there were iffy-looking people loitering around outside. However, the room was extremely cheap and clean. The interior is a bit worn down, and the furniture didn't all match, but that didn't particularly bother me. (You have to keep in mind that this is a town that isn't exactly economically prospering.) As an added bonus, there is free wi-fi and breakfast. This hotel is awful... We booked this hotel by accident . ( we have always stayed at the old location, guest house inn) So when I went in to lobby.. 2 dogs started jumping on me... Then I went to front desk to explain that we booked by accident.. At first the owners daughter was rude, but ended up cancelling reservation and telling me we would get our money back.. She explained that they usually didn't do that... but I think she could clearly see I was at meltdown point and accommodated us. but now I think it was to take our money are get me out of there lobby. **I did go see the room I was suppose to stay in....The room was small, dark , had a funky smell to it... But clearly she lied and they are thiefs!! Told me Id expect my refund in 2-4 business days...which I waited 5 business days before writing this review. There use to be a very nice motel in town called the guest house inn (now best western) and this place grabbed the name when the old guest house inn sold to best western. We made reservations (thinking it was the old guest house inn) and when we found out this was not the same place and this place is a dump we called and canceled reservation. but the lying manager still charged our card even after telling us our reservation was canceled over the phone. We had to fight with them and they lied to our card company and told them we never called. It was a night mare. The place is a nasty place with a nasty manager. Made a reservation - nonrefundable. that was ok because it was a good rate. However, there was not a final cost until I had committed to purchase. Then they added a nearly 50% charge for fees etc ($96 room and then $46+ for extra charges). I called immediately to cancel and was told ``too late. it's nonrefundable.'' This motel is just adequate if you need a cheap and clean place to stay in Aberdeen. It is very basic and outdated... but there really aren't too many options in the area so you can't be too picky. The bed was hard and not exactly comfortable ( it took my back a couple of days to recover...maybe the owners should consider memory foam pads?) . I am lucky that the people in the neighboring rooms were pretty quiet.. because the walls were paper thin. Had i had a noisy person next door it would have sucked so bad. The room was clean and big... which is good. The shower had good water pressure. They do provide a free breakfast which I opted not to have... I went to the local Starbucks instead. One plus was free wifi. The TV was kind of sucky.. I think there were 7 or 8 channels,but one was a movie channel, so I did enjoy that. I read more

We thought it was fine for what it is. It is not a five star hotel, it is a motel (very clean! ) for a quick so over. We stopped here for a night on our way to Olympic Forest. Was very reasonable, and the rooms very clean. The decor is quite dated, but clean is king for a budget motel. They clearly understand this. It included breakfast which was nice (make your own waffles were a hit with the kids). Only complaint is the coffee was terrible, but hey, you can just buy one down the road from the drive through coffee place. Recommended! read more

For the price, it's the better one to choose. Stay away from the competition. It's Aberdeen, people. I guess it all depends on the reason for your stay. If you are just coming through for one night to or from the beach or staying for a few days it's OK. If this is a monthly stay or with kids look into the Best Western plus. You can't beat the price and the next place to stop is Ocean Shores. The guy up front is pretty nice. It's right off a main road and pretty noisy. Okay, here's my downfalls, if you have a dog and need to walk it DON'T GO A LONE! You will be approached by every heroin addict around. Unless you are from the area and know how bad it can be, you may want to know, don't send your kids out and know that the nearest area to walk your dog is down the street on the corner. Overall, after keeping ourselves locked in seclusion and near insanity, it's not so bad. Also, it's well known for not refunding you if you have an issue. We always check our room before we pay. Rude/front desk agent whom is the daughter of the owner. i would like to start with when I called to make reservation she asked what time I would make it because the office is closed at 10 pm which isn't true. When they gave me the key to my room it had cones in the parking space right in front of our room so we had to park at the other end of parking lot and when i asked if they had security camera's she said only in the direction of where her personal vehicle was parked and come to find out she had this space reserved for the brother because the security cameras covered that spot also. When we got in the room there was still a dirty towel hanging up in the bathroom. We requested a refund and she psh'd my husband, needless to say we left and called the next day to speak with owners the daughter refused to put them on the phone so I had to go through my credit company to request refund. My family and I were coming back from Ocean Shores and we decided to stay a night here in Aberdeen. From first glance, this motel seemed like an ordinary motel; however, my expectations were exceeded. The office manager was very courteous and the breakfast had a large variety of fruits and warm breakfast items. I got a room that was recently remodeled and it was very clean! We got in to town to check in.Reservation said check in was at 1 PM. It was 3:30 and the man at check-in said it wouldn't be ready for another 20 to 30 minutes. He gave us the key, we parked in front of the room and waited. As time passed we saw housekeeping well past our block of rooms and so we went in. It had been ready when we got there. Ok. Miscommunication. We went to our event, came back and the parking lot could not accommodate all the cars from the guests staying there. We parked in a spot across the way. We woke at 8 and decided to relax, since checkout wasn't till noon. At 9. We got a knock on the door from housekeeping. She left and then at 11 came back , knocked and opened the door before we could get there. We were just getting ready to leave, but it was a bit irritating. The Aberdeen Guesthouse has changed property earlier this year and the booking personal lied to me and confirmed it was the same property that I booked in 2014. It was not. The new property is a motel with outside entrances, NOT a hotel with inside entrances as was the previous property. When I refused to stay at the downgraded property (security concerns) I was charged for a night because I did not give 24 hour notice for cancelling. The corporate offices told me the booking personnel are a third party and each hotel is independently owned so they could not help me. read more

My Mother and Step Father had come into town from San Diego to visit. My Step Dad snores quite badly, so they selected the suite room with 2 queen beds in the main room and one queen bed in a separate bedroom. Both rooms connect to the bathroom. The room was great. Clean and bigger than I expected it to me. Yes, the room and decor are a bit old looking, but hey, it's Aberdeen. Everything here is old. Front desk service could use a bit of work as the man at the desk did not seem to have very good customer service skills and it was obvious that English is his second language. The continental breakfast was great with cereal, muffins, hard boiled eggs, and a make your own waffle cooker. Maid service was great. They honored the do not disturb sign and the next day gave us impeccable service. The room was spotless upon our return! Decent channel selection on the TV with 3 different HBO channels, but the reception wasn't all that great. And they were even able to keep their small dog in the room for a small fee. All in all the experience was great, and my Family had a great time. But warning, if you are in a nonsmoking room (the suites are nonsmoking) then DON'T SMOKE! There has been another GuestHouse inn in Aberdeen for many years and this partucular hotel (motel actually) used to be called the Olympic Hotel. The old GuestHouse recently changed over to a Best Western and this less than appealing motel took the GuestHouse name so they could steal customers who thought they were staying at the other hotel. When I booked the hotel I didn't even pay attention to the street address as I have always stayed at this particular hotel. Upon arriving I found out that the hotel had changed ownership and the GuestHouse is actually the old Olympic Hotel. I respectfully asked the hotel manager to give me a refund as I booked the room thinking it was the other hotel. He became very defensive and would not offer me a refund. I was forced to stay in this motel which was horrible. Every non-smoking room smellled of smoke and the hotel manager was so rude and disrespectful that I am going to call the Aberdeen BBB to make sure they know that this hotel is deliberatley using a competitive hotel name to gain room bookings then when people realize it is a different hotel then they thought; they will not offer a refund. read more
