Because we had visited Guidewell before & had made an appointment, we thought this would be efficient. Wrong. The visit took almost 3 hours. Only one provider was seeing patients. By the time we were discharged with a diagnosis of an UTI, the CVS pharmacy had closed. His UTI could not be treated until the next day. Time is critical. I don't know what we could have done differently. read more

Billing has been horrible to deal with. They had me pay $625.00 which ended up being $480.00 over what my copay was. They never sent a statement or called to advise me of the overpayment. I caught it looking at my cigna portal. I called them on 3/5/25 requesting a refund they told me it could take up to 4 weeks. It is now 5/15 and still no refund. I called back and they told me to follow up in another 2 weeks !!!!! This is extremely unacceptable and will tell everyone I know to never go to Guidewell. read more

I used to come to this location frequently, but my recent experiences have been very disappointing. The level of care and professionalism has noticeably declined. I came in with chest pain and made an appointment, yet I was still waiting over an hour to be seen. During that time, I repeatedly asked the front desk for an update because of my symptoms, but one of the staff members did not respond or acknowledge my concerns. There were two employees at the front desk--one appeared to be helping several patients efficiently, while the other (a woman with glasses and red curly hair) seemed very disengaged and unconcerned about the patients waiting. What was most alarming to me was the lack of urgency despite the fact that I was experiencing chest pain. Situations like that should be taken seriously. Because of this experience, I will be filing a complaint with corporate and the appropriate health oversight authorities. My second visit to this facility was already related to complications from a previous visit, which raises additional concerns about the quality of care being provided. read more

Today my Wife and I experienced the gold standard of health care at this Guidewell location. Everything went perfect, even though we were there during an unhealthy life event. Front to back care in under an hour, including X-rays and several tests. When our primary care physician fails to help us, Guidewell steps right up and addressed our needs with many genuine smiles along the way. read more

The experience was okay, nothing stellar. My big problem is how disorganized these people are when it comes to collecting the copay. They say you can pay by phone, but that didn't work. On the website, you have to agree to handle all your privacy concerns. I paid at the office and kept the receipts. However, they keep sending collection letters. I called them, sent the receipt, and am still getting the letters. read more

I went here with my boyfriend for moral support since he was having some pain issues and didn't want to sit in an ER. This seemed like a good alternative since he's already been going to his regular doctor, but needed some immediate assistance. The positives here were that everyone we encountered was nice. From the person who checked us in, to the lab techs, to the PA that saw us, everyone was kind and seemed to be sincere in trying to figure out what was happening with him. They also seemed to recommend appropriate tests based on the history he gave. The downfalls were that though the time to get into a room was very short, we still ended up there for over four hours. Obviously, this is still better than a hospital wait, but part of it seemed to be because they had equipment that wasn't functioning appropriately and it seemed maybe some communication issues. Again, this can happen, so not the end of the world. The only thing I found particularly aggravating, was the PA gave my boyfriend two prescriptions. When we went to fill them, we found one needs to be an actual, written prescription versus the printout we were given so he has to go back to Guidewell when they open to obtain this. I would have hoped that they'd know that this is the policy for this type of medication to avoid having this happen. Overall, I still feel this is a good urgent care option that's in between an office visit with your primary care doctor and a hospital visit, and we were still pointed in the right direction. I trusted the team members there and would probably go myself if needed since the issues we had were mostly paperwork/administrative versus actual care problems. read more

Went because I tested for COVID at home. They never tested me at the office but wrote me a script and said they would send to my CVS. I waited two hours to pick up but my local CVS never received the order. Called them first thing in the morning to confirm they had sent the script but they said they would have someone look into it when they got a chance. Third call: they told my husband they never called in the script but gave physical papers. Also.... Wait time when no one else in ANY of the other exam rooms was pretty bad (how do I know? All the doors were open). Employees just congregating in the med pit gossiping. I would never go there again read more

I came here to get an X-ray of my hand to confirm if I had broken it or not in an accident. The front desk and nurse were friendly and professional. After getting the X-ray the radiologist informed me that a dr would come in to discuss the results. After what seemed like a half hour, a lady who did not identify herself came in with paperwork that she wanted me to sign so I could leave. I was confused and asked her: "so what happened with my X-ray ?" "It's just a sprain. Here is a script for ibuprofen." Was her reply. It was blatantly obvious she wanted to process me and get me out. Why did I have to ask about my X-ray? Why couldn't a dr talk to me about my accident? Quick note, this facility was empty and the staff was congregated around the center station where the patient rooms are at. There was no reason to have me wait so long and for a dr not to take 5 minutes to speak to me. I felt unimportant to the staff. A very negative experience. read more

The nursing staff was very professional! For a moment I would have given them a 5 star then the doctor came in, she was very rude, impatient and uncompassionate. When I was trying to explain my symptoms and timeline. She got verbally strong, treated me like a child. I almost walked out, but I had already paid. I visited Guidewell yesterday for a script refill for an autoimmune disease I have. The facility was immaculate. The staff, nurse and NP were polite and very professional. The visit itself was quick and painless. I would return. My husband also visited this facility which is why I went. He raved about it. So glad we know about this place. When I asked for an alternative form of the antibiotic (vaccine), they didn't hesitate. The facility is clean, the people are kind and prompt. This will be my go to urgent care. Decided to book an appointment here at the Semorran location as the one I normally go to in Winter Park was booked up. Been dealing with a horrible Sinus infection ( non CoVid of flu related) I asked Front desk if it was necessary for me to wear a mask as I could barely breathe through my nose and was breathing through my mouth. The young lady at the front desk said only if I want to. I have no chest congestion or cough or fever. When in the room the unprofessional and rude nurse Maya walked out the room got a mask handed it to me and stated for me to pls put a mask on. I told her I could barely breathe through my nose so I wasn't comfortable wearing a mask when I could barely breath. She rudely said well you have to wear it for my protection. The way she said it with the worst attitude was mind blowing to me. Mind you I was very respectful when telling her I wasn't comfortable wearing the mask as I could barely breathe out my nose. I explained to her once again ma'am wearing the mask is just going to make it much harder for me to breath. At this point my husband was upset at her being so rude and unprofessional towards me and jumped in to defend me. He stated to Maya I don't have CoVid and the mask doesn't protect her any more as we are breathing our own air which is even more harmful plus explains to her once again that I was having trouble breathing through nose.. Maya the rudely interrupted my husband, got loud, got very unprofessional, very rude and told my husband that she knows more than he does as she works in the medical field for several years so he knows nothing in other words this is another way of saying my husband is dumb or stupid. She then continues to argue back and forth with my husband and the walks out the room slamming the door. I'd probably give this place a better review but she made my experience here a horrible one it was the worst treatment from a medical assistant I've ever received in my life. The front desk girls are very kind and professional and the nurse Diane was amazing I give them a 5 as for this young lady Maya she needs to be trained how to speak to patients and learn to listen to her patients instead of arguing, talking over patient, coping an attitude, and being disrespectful. I work in the medical field as well and I would never ever talk to any patients or treat them the way this medical assistant Maya did. I will not be coming to this location ever again. read more

Disappointed in the follow up of care. My pain medication never made it to the pharmacy. I called the office 3 times, spoke to the supervisor still no meds on day 4. I went there in the recommendation of my Doctors office, as I had excruciating pain. The only good thing was I got a CT done and blood work. I told the Dr. My pain was in my back and he diagnosed it as chest pain. Nursing and office staff were efficient. Would not recommend for a life or death situation! Outstanding service. The treating doctor realized that their faulty equipment was interfering with quick and accurate diagnosis, and along with the ER director explained what was in my best interest. They decided to transfer me to the Winter Park facility but personally arranged everything so when I got there they were waiting for me. They were very thorough and took the time to explain every medical decision, medication, and treatment plan. Every single staff member I came in contact was kind and empathetic. Bedside manners exceeded my expectations for an ER setting. Second time I come to this place, first being a patient and both times I walk away with a great impression. read more

At this point,04/03/2021 two days after my visit I'm still waiting for someone to fix a problem with my prescription. The nurse practitioner R. L. S. who signs my prescription is not authorized to prescribe Norco (that's what the pharmacy says). I contacted Guidewell immediately and after a couple of hours they called me to tell me that the problem was to be solved. I return to the pharmacy and at the pharmacy they tell me that no one has contacted them either by email or by phone. On yesterday 04/02/21 I contacted Guiewell again around from 10am and until this moment Saturday April 3, 2021 nobody or calls me to tell me that the problem is solved. This is not good and unexpected situation. If visited and paid for a service (was not free service) I expected a good service with a professional stuff, But I guess this is a long way off for your stuff. Now i contact again and the nurse practitioner call me back with a very rude actitud saying that the other prescriptions are supossed to help me and suggested that I have to stop at the office again, but to tell you the true and with this bad experience, i think i never going to visit this place again and per sure I never going to recommend this place. read more

Prescribed a critical medication for a problem but did not request prior-authorization from the insurance company. When asked about it they did nothing for a full day, which was longer than they said you can safely go without said prescription, and then said there was nothing they could do. Had to go around them and request it myself from the insurance company and they gave me a one time exception. Now I have to go to another doctor that isn't negligent and get another diagnosis and a new prescription in order to get the long term prescription. Whether you do it by diagnosing poorly or by refusing to file required paperwork, putting patient's lives at risk is malpractice. Their laziness could have killed someone. read more

I went here for a uti. I paid my 50 dollar copay. I was the only person in the waiting room for HOURS. When I went to the back, staff was rude and patronizing. I informed them that the automatic blood pressure cuff never works for me and they would have to do it manually. They ignored me and did the automatic FIVE TIMES before getting someone to do it manually. Fast forward months, i recieve a bill in the mail. This is my first time receiving a medical bill after the fact for anything. I have set copays for urgent care, yet i received a bill for 136 dollars! Just to let you know this place is so greedy and slimy. 1200 for new patient, 71 for a urinalysis and 64 for pregnancy test (which i did not ask for) . This is what they charged, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAM OF A PLACE. read more

This place is great place for Emergencies, a friend doctor recommended. He was right they take care of you in a few minutes, and the have lab, ct scan, x-ray, anything they need yo give you a diagnosis. Also if you don't have insurance they have the prices upfront on what you pay and it was very affordable. They diagnosed my diverticulitis, and treated. My mom felt (she didn't have insurance) they did everything it was like $800. read more

First time here and it was a BIG MISTAKE! Go to the ER. I took my wife here and the visit took hours. Upon her release she had 3 prescriptions, well she thought she had three. They had only written down two so we had to go back and get the third prescription. Once we made it to the pharmacy we found out that the prescription was written wrong. The pharmacy called several times to clinic but no one would answer the phone and conveniently the clinic was closing for the day so I will have to wait another day before getting the prescription. Day two - The pharmacy has called the clinic several times but cannot get ahold of any clinical person to correct the prescription. I called the clinic to ask what was going on and all I got was the run around and that all clinical staff was in a meeting. I asked what kind of meeting was so important that it trumps patient care, the answer was "it is about opening another location". I was astonished that they are trying to open another location when they can't even get patient care right at one location. This is unacceptable and I will NEVER go back to this clinic. You all have been warned and you are better off going to the emergency room at the hospital. read more

When people don't feel well they are in a vulnerable state looking to a get some help and to be talked to like you're an idiot and a child who doesn't know their own body is very non-compassionate and non-caring. I received a flyer in mail from Blue Cross about this place. Next day bad URI. Flyer implied short wait time so I decided to try it. Waiting room had only a handful of patients, but apparently all the 16 treatment rooms were occupied. Did not know this. After 30 mins sent back to treatment room. Then a male nurse or tech came in for vitals. NOT FRIENDLY! Said doctor would be right in. After at least 30-45 mins PA Mark came in ( not an MD). He was very nice. Made diagnosis. Had to wait another 30 mins just for discharge papers and prescription. I was there OVER 2 hrs for a 5 minute exam. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I will be calling Blue Cross and company to register complaint. Back room area staff very unconcerned about anything. No one in charge. No appointment system like some other ER TREATMENT FACILITIES. read more

I have been there several times and have received the best of care. The check in is fast and all the staff are really great. And if you do need the hospital they can admit you directly without going through the emergency room. They have done all my tests right there including X-ray and CAT scans. Zero stars! I went to Guidewell for help 8/30/19 with severe pain right shoulder . I took my surgery schedule and recent copy of MRI just to prove IM NOT A DRUG SEEKER !!! instead I was rudely met in the back by a so called professional and he states; "what do you think I can do for you! ". Yes! Loud and condescending I explained as I was in so much pain my reason for visit , he said call your surgeon!!!! If I could have gone on to speak, I WANTED A MUSCLE RELAXER just give me a few till MONDAY morning! I told this unknown person with no ID. Could've been a janitor and I would have gotten better attention. I left there in pain just as I arrived and they sure charged my MEDICARE with more pain and crying! I was treated like a drug seeking a no body that waste his time. So after giving this facility a SECOND chance that day, several years before i had a bad experience with refunding my money! .... front desk staff are too good for this place. One bad employee ruins this facility. as I am in the medical field and I know how to treat people we STOPPED referring to this place. I will go out of my way and tell everyone about that day. My free advice to that person is find another job, smile treat people like they're human as if it was your mother or sister. We are not cookie cutters drug seeking scum. read more

Quick, clean, professional, friendly. Easy access from Semoran just north of Colonial and the 408. More than adequate parking. The front desk personnel are welcoming... took my ID and insurance. I had hardly any wait, although most of the exam rooms were busy with patients. The nursing staff listened, took notes, collected my medical history. The doctor listened, honed in on the issues; and, made the appropriate prescriptions (I've been through this before.) On the mend; and, the copay wasn't any worse than my doctor's office for walk-ins in the AM. read more

This place is horrible. My wife came here with in severe pain with a herniated/bulging disc in her back. They were incredible rude, of no help, and still haven't called her back after two days of calling them to follow up. This place does not take the care of individual patients seriously. We came here for a checkup and COVID testing and we were waiting for over two hours. This place has suspicious billing practices!!! I went their and ask to get my son tested for strep throat and over-billed my insurance company for a CPT 99214 level 4 visit (established patient and provider spends approximately 25 minutes face-to-face with the patient) both are not TRUE! Same CPT Code 99214 was used when I ask to have my son tested for the flu 8 months later, 3 minutes face time with physician! Further, DO NOT TELL them you have health insurance even if you do!!! I presented my Aetna's insurance and Aetna's allowable amount for their over-bill visit was $510 and they balanced bill me for an additional $68. $578 for a flu test for someone with a National insurance company. Here's the kicker. When I called them anonymously and said I do NOT have insurance they told me the cost for an office visit AND the flu test is $160. This place needs significant management overhaul and would not be surprised if the government investigates their billing practices. Stay away! Places like this contribute to the health crisis in America. I wish I could give this place -5 stars!!! read more

Took forever to have foot checked. 4 1/2 hours because the radiologist told me he did EVERYONEs chest X-rays first ( 8 people and 6 came in AFTER me) because he didn't want to adjust the machine twice. Then I heard staff talk about coffee and donought run and they went to the break room...really finish your job first and don't take group breaks!!! So I HAD to wait!!! Horrible management of time for patients, Doctor was great. Not her fault office staff and manager suck at their job. Do not recommend unless you show up at 6:15 when they are motivated to close and go home, then they pick up the pace!!!!!!! read more
