I had heard from someone once that they enjoyed this pizza place in Pleasant Hill, and based on their recommendation, I figured that I would give it a try some day. Just a few days ago, we were in the area and decided to give this place a try. Typically when I order a pizza from a new place I will order a combination or a supreme type, and that is what we ordered here. The place was empty during lunch, and so I wasn't sure if that's because it was Pleasant Hill, and or because it was mid-week. The service was good and the girl who took our order was kind. Unfortunately, the pizza reminded me exactly of a homemade pizza that I made using Bisquick. It had the exact same crust taste and the pizza sauce reminded me of the jar pizza sauce that I had purchased (can't recall which one) from the grocery store to make it. I did enjoy this pizza as much as I enjoyed the one I had made at home once upon a time with Bisquick, so needless-to-say, I feel that I could have made it at home for less. read more

Food is ordered at the register when you come in. Food is delivered to you at your table. There is covered outdoor seating available when weather is warm. Large variety of pizzas: big selection of toppings and crusts (Including hand tossed) & several sizes. There is a large selection of Italian dishes, several salads & a couple of sandwiches. There are a good selection of beverages, including various beers and soft drinks. There are two long tables for larger groups. In my opinion, everyone in a group can find something appealing and the pizzas are the best in town. read more

Nice small pizza place in a small town, with both inside and outside covered seating. Pizza is very good; cheese bread is the type that is eight small slices, but good (there is always that question because every place has different types). They do serve wine and beer in addition to self-serve soft drinks. Every member of the staff we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. Only downside to the place was you had to order at the front counter as you entered, along with the take outs and to go orders, which was extremely confusing. read more

I have in the past stopped at this great pizza place when I was passing by Kansas City MO, until I learned that the owner was an antivaxxer. Then, of course, I kept a wide distance. Now I learned that he got COVID19, wrongly proclaimed that he had natural immunity, then got COVID19 again and passed away. I do hope the next owner is not a science denier. Then I will stop by again (assuming the place has been thoroughly disinfected) and enjoy the traditional recipes of their delicious pizza. read more

I absolutely love the pizza here!! The salad's are very good. I go in about once a week for a lunch special; which includes a mini pizza, side salad & a drink for right around $8.00! If you like spicy food definitely try the buffalo chicken pizza. It is awesome dipped in their ranch dressing; I like it on their gluten free crust which makes it crispy almost like a cracker. read more

Very disappointing experience. After 45 minutes none the f our food arrived, not even the side salad. I started asking about the salad after seeing several tables who arrived after us received their food. I continually received a response of "be patient it's coming". A girl finally came out with a salad shrugged her shoulders and said she couldn't find the salad order. After over an hour and still no pizzas I was told again to just be patient. I finally requested a refund as our family had been waiting over and hour and at least 4 tables that came in after us received their food. The family we met up with for dinner already received their food and had finished even though we ordered right after them. The cherry on top was when the young lady that issued my refund rolled her eyes as I was leaving. Very sad as they have great pizza, but the last several times we have visited the service has been slower and slower as well as much ruder. read more

i love to try new things! pizza is one thing I love as does everyone else! The delivery was 20 min late. it was my mistake and I ordered a sandwich not toasted meaning to me the bread would not be toasted, but what I got was a cold sandwich all around the cheese was not melted and the meat was cold! I'm sure it would have been delicious but unfortunately the first time around was not a good experience. once I put my own sauce on it and warmed it up it was okay sandwich. Some folks in Pleasant Hill claim this is one of the better pizza places in town, which is like saying throat cancer is much better than testicular cancer. Service is slow and surly, the pizzas come loaded with pounds of cheap cheese cooked for less than 30 seconds, and the interior atmosphere resembles a pool hall, only without the class. Additionally, the place recently burned down, which makes no sense considering their ovens seem incapable of reaching even 200 degrees. If you're trapped in Pleasant Hill and desperately need to eat pizza for some unknown reason, you'd be better off walking south a block and going to Casey's. Yes, you can seriously find better pizza at a gas station, one whose kitchen was recently shut down by the health inspectors after they found dead roaches in their freezer. read more

We stopped here for dinner one evening, wanting to try out some of the local pizza joints. We usually order a pizza with pepperoni and onions - it seems to be our go-to test pizza whenever trying a new place. The setup is weird - we sat in the dining room and saw a waitress moving back and forth between tables but didn't realize you had to go up to the counter to order. We did, and then waited to see what we'd think of the pizza. When it arrived, we dug in and the crust was nice and crispy - good sign. However, the pepperoni was hidden and seemed very sparse, and I would be surprised if there was more than a slice of onion on the whole pie. Given the cost, I was a bit disappointed. The flavor was okay, but I would have to say this does not go in the top five (or even ten) pizzas I've ever had. We may go back to try something different - I always try to give a place a second chance before writing it off. But based on our initial visit, I wasn't super impressed, especially for the price of almost $25 for a medium pizza and two sodas. read more

I'm not sure what makes the pizza taste unique vs typical American pizzas but most people like it. Count me among them. It's a little pricey but they give a teacher discount which is always appreciated. My wife loves their simple salads and their subs are pretty good also. They offer smaller pizzas so you can go in a group and everybody can get exactly what they want. The cook the food after you order it so you have a little time to sit and be social (bad if you're in a rush but we're all too rushed these days anyway). It is a small place but it's in a small town and most people probably order carry-out or delivery. My wife and I don't live in town so we eat in and go there when we won't mind the wait. You're rewarded with food that isn't the same thing you get everyplace else that tastes good and adds to a pleasant evening. They also take most Pizza Hut coupons. read more

I may be a little biased being as I grew up in Pleasant Hill, but even as a thirty year old adult I have tried A LOT of different pizza places and Guidos still ranks incredibly high! Their crust is still my favorite out of all the pizza places I have ever been. And I don't know what kind of magic dust they sprinkle on their salads but for a salad as basic as theirs is it is absolutely phenomenal! I don't get to eat it nearly as much as I used to now that I have moved away but I am always down for a slice! And seriously, try their sandwiches!!
