I've been coming here for years, and I used to absolutely love it. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been disappointing. The last time I came in, there were staff members' children screaming at the top of their lungs while customers were trying to enjoy their coffee and food. It wasn't the atmosphere I expected. My biggest frustration, though, is the inconsistency of the coffee. I'll order a Cookie Butter Latte one day and it's amazing, then order the exact same drink another day and it's incredibly bitter. When you're paying around $10 for a small drink, you expect it to be consistent. I really hate saying this because I used to recommend this place to everyone, but lately I'd rather make coffee at home, where I know it'll taste the same every time. read more

My friend and I do our personal "Java Journey" and decided to try out Lovett. Although this coffeehouse is "off the beaten path" and isn't easy to find due to lack of well marked signage, I'd definitely at this to your must try list! The coffeehouse is the entire first floor of an old Victorian house and had many rooms and outdoor spaces for seating. The staff was friendly, the shop had many food and retail offerings including fresh flowers. My salted honey vanilla iced latte was great but my friend's hot latte was just average. I had high hopes for the Chipotle Chicken Panini but it lacked flavor and needed to be a little more toasted. My friend's Chipotle Bacon Swiss Panini was really good but could also use a little more toasting. Overall, we loved this place and would love to go back! read more

Cute, convenient, GF pizza. Great service, it was a pick up order so we did not eat inside.

Posting the menus for anyone looking. Although, my son found the menu on Facebook. Also, including receipt for drink pricing. The pepperoni flatbread was a hit with the family. Drinks (hot mocha, iced Liberty latte and iced mocha pistachio latte) just okay. Panini's needed more crispiness/cooking. My daughter liked the chicken, bacon. The pickle poppy sandwich , not as good as the chicken. Cute sandwich shop, nice staff, quick service. I didn't have trouble finding the shop, it's on the corner with good signage and lots of parking. Wish I took a photo of the cute sign. read more

I've been coming here with my girlfriend for a while now. Service has always been great. The only issue I've found is before the new owners, drinks were filled full and the burritos were bigger and filled more even tho they are the same price. We're always excited to come here for coffee and breakfast, but seeing that the prices are the same for less food/ drinks is sad. read more

This place has friendly staff, a nice setting, and decent food. Nice outdoor space. Nothing else to say.

Super cute establishment but not happy with my tea. I ordered a London fog and I got a regular tea and it wasn't hot. It was barely warm! I didn't ask for them to change anything I just asked for them to add sweetener. I guess when you ask that everything changes? I was looking forward to London fog this morning and I'm just a little disappointed. I don't like to go back in and complain, but maybe they'll see this and do better next time. read more

We stopped in after an afternoon at Powell Gardens. Cute spot, but there was no one at the counter upon arrival. Waited 10 mins while saying "Excuse me!" Then I saw someone in the back and got her attention. She said they can't hear anything back there. My matcha was ok, lots of milk and faint matcha flavor. My BLT panini left much to be desired with wilted greens and microwave bacon slices. The kids flatbread pizzas were also lacking in toppings and taste. The food reminded me of cafeteria food. But the inside door was farmhouse cute, lots of local retail stuff and I appreciated the kids corner with books, crayons, games etc. read more

The best kept secret (coffee wise) outside of the normal city limit parameters is here in Lone Jack and it's this place. The service, food, and more importantly, the coffee is outstanding. I had a bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant for breakfast, and after a few bites the bacon seemed cold, but not a problem. The barista was more than happy to oblige to remake it and make me a new one, and all I wanted was for her to reheat it in the microwave! The place is nestled in a very nice bucolic location, and the farm house was perfectly renovated to maintain its rustic appeal for an out of the way coffee shop. read more

Absolutely top notch spot. Small town feel but far from small town offerings. So many sandwich, pizza and burrito offerings as well as pastries. They even have salads. All is fresh and prepared as you order. Great quiet place to study but I imagine lunch time could get louder. Service was amazing and coffee delicious. Truly worth the drive from KC then go hike the Blue Gray Trails. read more

One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Drove 30 minutes each way because we've been wanting to try this place, and it exceeded our expectations. Gluten free options for bagel breakfast sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, and lunch sandwiches. Not to mention the AMAZING gluten free pastries - I love seeing places having more than one to choose from! Very fairly priced, we paid just over $30 for sandwiches, pastries, coffee drinks, and a side. Drinks were so good we ordered a second one when leaving to take to go! Will surely be back many times. Workers were incredibly nice and had great service. Place itself is in a renovated house and was super cute. Can't recommend this place enough. read more

Seriously so good. We just moved here and this was the FIRST spot we tried. The girlies up front were so kind and I got a burrito with olives and typically anywhere you go you get 3 or 5 but they had it full of all the extras I got. Deff will come back and recommend to everyone. read more

I'm in town from Arizona visiting my mom and my children and I have walked here almost every day that we have been here. IT IS THAT GOOD! We have tried almost everything on their menu (been here 3 weeks lol) and haven't had a bad bite. Some of our favorites: Nani flatbread, pretzel, breakfast burrito with the special sauce (need that recipe to recreate in AZ!) , all the flavored lemonades, iced salted caramel lattes, peanut butter fudge ice cream is to die for (sounds sweet but it's perfection). Seriously, the best breakfast, lunch,and dinner. My only constructive criticism is our pizza could have been cooked a couple minutes longer. Also, staff is amazing. One of our visits had the food delivery guy knocking down power line and the staff handled it like rock stars and had somehow kept orders coming out without their system working. Spotlight on Skyler that was our barista/cashier quite a few times that we adore. She was pleasant, helpful and friendly...really every staff member we have had was great. I've been here several times but this one was truly disappointing. The pumpkin latte had purée in it which made for a terrible texture you wouldn't even want to drink, the chicken salad was good but the dill in it overpowered the entire sandwich. I hope to come back, but was unable to eat anything I ordered totaling $20. read more

Great find right off Highway 50. Had panini and flatbread, both were very good. Nice outdoor seating. Definitely worth a stop.

Ordered a couple of build your own pizzas and they had very little toppings on it. I have coffee and sandwich's there no issues. Will give them benefit of a doubt and try again some time. read more
