Amazing food, beautiful space and attentive and nice staff. Was only in Cozumel for the day and so glad we stopped in for dinner. Best meal in the 5 nights in Cancun area. Too many good choices, we ordered the Yvonne Salad (yummmmm) and calamari special for apps, Frutti de Mare and the Fresh Fish Calabrese. Everything was delicious, only wish my stomach was bigger to try more things. Will need to come back! I drank a couple of glasses of cabernet with the food, delicious! My friend had a fancy cocktail which she said was also delicious. read more

Beautiful patio to dine in, a little on the warm side & stuffy but romantic. Our server was a little forgetful but his counterparts checked on us often, so we were fine with that. The good was so good & fresh. Also not pictured here was the lasagna (which was ok) & 2 glasses of local wine, which was pretty good. I'll definitely be visiting again. read more

The food was so good. I had the prosciutto wrapped scallops with risotto and my husband had the mahi mahi. Our desert was the white chocolate and raspberry pie. All delicious. The staff is very friendly and the ambience is cool - candlelit with some outside lighting with actual trees and bougainvilleas. Go here for sure when in Cozumel!! read more

One of the best start-to-finish meals I've had! We went for our date night dinner, and were seated at a very romantic courtyard table. We had the sangria, which was mind blowing, the deservedly famous garlic bread, and shared a pasta dish and a small pizza, then finished with the sticky toffee cake! Every single thing was amazing! read more

I had heard that they had good sangria so we decided to try it. What a GREAT find. Excellent frutti de mare (black linguine with seafood), and goats and greens salad and Caesar salads. The pitcher of sangria was very good, but the food and atmosphere were fabulous. It opens up into a quaint little almost jungle sanctuary. We'll definitely go back!! Carlos was a great server too!! read more

We visited twice during our stay. The first visit would be five stars. We walked in after a long afternoon of shopping, not even dressed for dinner, and we were treated to fabulous service and some of the best food we have ever eaten in Cozumel. The beet salad was excellent (off menu item), and husband ordered fettuccini Alfredo. The pasta was perfectly cooked and piping hot. Cesar (waiter) was superb! Sadly, we came back for Friday night dinner. It became abundantly clear the restaurant was not prepared for high volume business. Husband order same fettuccine Alfredo, and it came out with mushrooms and ham (which we clearly specified we did not eat). Waiter even read this back to us after he took the order (???). And you should not have to cut fish with a steak knife, ever. Toughest piece of overcooked Wahoo ever. I must say the goat cheese salad and garlic bread were both fabulous. Not all was bad, but we will simply skip the busy nights next time. Atmosphere was consistently good, regardless of all else... and I appreciate the manager taking time to listen to our concerns. We will be back. read more

This place is really good. The price is very reasonable, excellent service, beautiful ambience. The garlic bread is like thin pizza dough, baked in a wooden fired oven with garlic butter on top...EXCELLENT! Portions are large and filling. The salad was so good that it could have been enough for dinner. We will definitely be back! read more

Guidos never disappoints, food, ambiance, service everything is on point. We have been visiting for years, we have even stayed in Cancun and taken the ferry over just to eat dinner. Perfect dinner for our anniversary on the island. Do not sit down when you walk in the door! The outside dining area is beautiful with fans and roofing if needed. I had the ravioli and my husband had the spaghetti bolognese. For dessert, he had the ice cream cake special and I had the crème brûlée and Alexander dessert drink. There were candied star fruit with the crème! The food was all fantastic and our server, Cesar, was delightful. He told us about the cat lounging nearby and the gardens in the back. Loved it all! read more

They must try and Cozumel. Don't forget to order the sangria. Best lobster ravioli I've ever had.

It is a nice place. The people were friendly and service was ok.....the pizza was pretty unexciting ..... very bland. .... even the charring from the oven was minimal and did not impart much flavor .... The crust seemed like it was made from all purpose flour and not 00 semolina from italy like is usually used in neapolitan style of pizza .... I think it is still a very good restaurant so I am giving them four stars but I would recommend trying other things besides the pizza... read more

Wow!!! If you are in Cozumel, you need to go here for dinner! Hands down the best restaurant in Cozumel!!! Ambiance/Service: The place is nice, romantic, and has indoor and outdoor seating. We chose outdoor and were super happy with our decision. The service staff is extremely helpful and will be there for you at any moment. They also are all about making sure you are getting what you want, so they do have a policy if you don't like it, let them know. But that is probably not going to happen with this place, ever! Food/Drinks: Holy cow! This literally has to be one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. I was blown away by this place and especially randomly in Cozumel. The food was absolutely delcious! We had the lasagna which was blow your mind amazing, as well as the seafood pasta which was also out of this world! We also got the sauteed shrimp and garlic bread as appetizer. Note: do not order all of that food as we were soooo stuffed by the end of it. However, it was all absolutely amazing and I would do it all over again. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone in Cozumel looking to get food. If you have only one dinner in Cozumel, go here! If you have multiple nights in Cozumel, at least go here for one of them. You wont be disappointed. read more

Great Pizza! Great service. Generous wine pours! Comfortable outdoor seating in a beautiful terrace.

The best meal I think we had on Cozumel. We had the stuffed chicken breast which was excellent and the lobster pizza which is a little spendy but was delish. I have been to Cozumel no less than a dozen times, and dined at Guido's for lunch and dinner. There is no better place for authentic Italian cuisine, and fairly priced despite being located on the main road in San Miguel. The garden setting in the back offers a lovely, relaxing atmosphere with its canopy of mature bougainvillea in shades of pink and coral. We absolutely love their pizza. The Swiss White is delicious - a wonderful marriage of Parmesan and mozzarella cheese with a hint of garlic and rosemary oil on the thinnest, crispest crust we've ever tasted. The Creme Brûlée is superb, smooth and creamy with the evidence of authentic Mexican vanilla beans (the way it should be) and served with a halo of lavender flowers. Don't forget to save room. Service is just as it should be: attentive without being overbearing, gracious with a smile. Guido's is a recommended choice for dinner (make a reservation during high season) but we also found it to be perfect for lunch when shopping in San Miguel. read more

I come here every time I come to Cozumel with my boyfriend and I had the worst experience ever this last time I ate there with my friends. I ordered a pizza and it did not come pre-cut which is fine because I did not mind cutting it myself with a knife but when we asked for the tab and the waiter Cesar asked us if we wanted our leftovers packaged I asked if they could cut it for me before packaging it because I did not want to have to look for a knife at the place I was staying at which he responded "you can cut it yourself, you have a knife right there".... Which I responded "can the kitchen not just cut it before packaging the leftovers"... if yall did not know they take the food to the back to package it for you then come back with it. I thought that was extremely rude. So I sat there and cut it myself with a bland knife. My boyfriend Cameron called the waiter back over and had a talk with him which the waiter then tried to say maybe I didn't understand him correctly because I don't know Spanish, however I'm fluent in Spanish, so not only was he rude once but twice.. read more

I felt so LUCKY to have stumbled by this amazing restaurant while walking in the rain downtown. My hubby and I read the reviews before entering but as soon as we were seated (opens at 2pm btw!) everything about the food, ambiance, and service took me to somewhere magical. I devoured several appetizers - spinach salad with prosciutto, beef carpaccio and the duck confit tacos but also enjoyed their house ravioli and grilled octopus main entree (yum!). For desert, we enjoyed cappuccinos and some delicious creme brûlée. If you've been on the island for more than a few days then you would understand that finding a hidden gem like this restaurant is well worth the wait! I look forward to going back if I'm ever back in Cozumel! great food, history, and venue. read more

Everything was wonderful! Garlic bread was like puffy garlic flour tortilla (delicious). The smashed potato that came with the octopus was so freaking good! Octopus was a tad over spiced (not hot, just a lot if seasoning) but really good! I loved my fish tostadas! My 7yr old loved the cheese pizza, and hubby was pleased with the scallops. Overall with the great service, we highly recommend for a change from hotel and street food! read more

Both the ambiance and the food are wonderful here! Don't be fooled by the unassuming front entrance/dining area when arriving at Guido's...the back patio is charming and whimsical, with the branches of large trees tangling around each other over the dining area to create a natural canopy. For dinner, my husband and I enjoyed the garlic bread (a must have), the sweet potato and ricotta ravioli (oh my goodness DELICIOUS), and the daily special pork chop meal (the pork chop was fine, but the poblano mashed potatoes that came with it were so good). We also enjoyed a Negroni and the smoky margarita (both well-mixed). We rounded out our meal with two daily special desserts - the cheesecake and the pink peppercorn creme brûlée...both highly enjoyable. Would have loved to try most any other dessert on their menu, as well as the house-made sangria...but alas, there's only so much that can be consumed in one meal. Haha Should we return to Cozumel, Guido's will definitely be on our list. read more

The hype is true! This place was so fantastic, we walked our butts over here two nights in a row. Agree that this is a MUST in Cozumel. You may be thinking, "why would I get Swiss/Italian food in Mexico?!" The answer is, because it is one of the best meals you will ever have, and thanks to the exchange rate, what would be a $200 meal in the US only cost you $50. Ambience: they have a small indoor section but where you want to be is outside. Beautiful courtyard with plants and romantic lighting. Honestly, I thought I was inside a restaurant that only Disney could have imagined (I thought I was inside the Pirates of the Caribbean, but I guess I was technically actually in the Caribbean....) Service: top notch, impeccable. FYI: All waiters were English speaking as well as Spanish-speaking, so there was no issues with communication. Food: best scallops I've ever had in my whole life. Also had the opportunity to try the seafood spaghetti, and the lasagna. All well done. Save room for dessert: extensive menu and delicious. My husband got the toffee pudding two nights in a row (it was really good). I would come here just for desserts also. read more
