After 30 minutes of waiting for our food (no other customers in attendance), my mother asked the waiter if our appetizer is coming. Waiter says he never placed the order. My mother asks if we could cancel (we're starving waited long enough) and pay for the water bottle only. Owners show up aggressively insisting we stay as our food is ready to serve. Look at the food I ordered from their kitchen whole fish was not fried as asked just BONES. We walk out, waiter chases us down the street (almost 5 miles) to get the money for the water (after he said we don't have to pay after my mother offered to pay for it) then comes the owners in their scooter. Turns into an HOUR long dispute. They begin recording us, taunting us all the way down to the ferry entrance, called us the worst possible names, the husband PUSHED MY MOTHER twice and SPIT ON ME!!! He raised his hands up at me several times as if he was going to hit me! DISGUSTING, TRASH, UNEDUCATED, UNPROFESSIONAL corrupted police got involved they took their side even said we are required to pay for the food even if we didn't eat it threatened to pay up or my mother could spend 36 hours in jail! This people stole 800 pesos from my purse , I was having lunch and they had a little garden, and I went to look around, I had my lunch , and when I finished I did pay with my credit card, but I also had a little coin purse with 800 pesos, when I checked my bag that night my money was missing, I called them and off course they denied it. read more

Wonderful atmosphere and off the beaten path from the tourist areas. Make sure to get a table in the backyard garden. It is specially magical at night. I am vegan and they accommodated me very well. I had veggie fajitas that were absolutely delicious. The mango margarita I had was a little water down - something wasn't right about it. That is my only complaint! Would definitely visit again next time I'm in Cozumel. read more

Over and beyond our expectations! After a brief walk through the restaurant we were taken away by the beautiful outdoor garden setting and made a reservation as we were having a family celebration in a few days. We were told they were closed on Sunday; however, after a chat they said they could open up the restaurant just for the 12 of us, for a nominal deposit. Appetizers of ceviche and guacamole, all 12 entrees were enjoyed (I had the isla de pasion ) and dessert of oreo cheesecake was out of this world! Afterwards, the all members of the family run restaurant came out and we thanked them all. We couldn't have picked a better spot for our celebration, thank you Chardonnay!! read more

Wonderful place a block away from the main promenade. Looks like a jungle, so many plants and overall it's an amazing ambient. Almost like a botanical garden! The waiter told us his wife takes care of the plants and it really shows. We ordered Mexican plate for 2 persons and it was excellent. Great way to try out many different dishes at once! We also had mojitos and both mango and limon margaritas - the drinks were faboluos! The staff was very friendly and the prices were very affordable. read more

Tucked back a couple blocks off the main street is this little gem. We stumbled upon it and decided to give it a try. Food was extremely fresh and flavorful. I ordered a Bahama Mama and it was hands-down the best cocktail I had my entire trip. You could tell it was made with real bananas vs. syrup. The pico de gallo was by far the best Ive ever had. We tried various seafood dishes and even the pasta - all of which were amazing! The waiter and entire staff were super friendly and accommodating. The owner even came out to meet us and took a picture with us and gave us a cute seashell souvenir. Great hospitality! Formerly called La Lobsteria, they've remodeled but still have the same great food. We came after dark and sat in the back garden area...so quaint. The trees were lit with nice music in the background. The service was excellent as was the food. We started with a Shrimp Ceviche and I had the coconut shrimp..they were huge! A hidden gem! We stumbled upon this place while looking for street parking and went in as my friend has a gut feeling its gong to be good. And he was right, it turned out to be an amazing experience. The owner is a wonderful fellow and he tried so hard to accommodate us. Ceviche and Shrimp were really good along with the cocktails. I got strong cocktail as a special request. :) But the biggest surprise came when my wife who does not eat seafood, ordered a Mac n Chesse. And I tell you its the best damn Mac n Cheese I have ever had. All in all loved the food and whole experience. Will most def go their again when opportunity strikes. read more

This place was fantastic. We were in port from a cruise this past week and had two motorized wheelchairs in our party. The restaurant opened the back garden seating area for us and it worked out perfectly. We had Mexican dishes and one member of our party had spaghetti; but we all thought the food was fantastic. Very friendly! We ordered the seafood platter for two, and it was quite tasty. Mixed drinks are hit or miss; stick to vino or cerveza. The Italian section of the menu is respectable too. Prices are typical for this part of Cozumel; we paid around 1200 pesos for three, with drinks. read more
