My Daughter was in a car accident on I90 at the 787 interchange, and the State Police contacted these THIEVES even after we requested to call our own towing service, and when they showed up we requested them to bring it the car dealership that my wife and I work at, and we were told by there driver that the only way they could that is if we paid them $175 cash on the spot, in this day and age of the convenience of not carrying cash, I don't carry $175 cash on me, so they towed it back to there shit hole of a place of "business", the next day when my wife tried to pay them over the phone so that we could have a TRUSTED tow company come and get it, she was told they cant take a credit card over the phone and she would have to come and bring cash now the total is $289 and this is only 12 hours from when originally towed when asked why the priced jumped she was rudely told that the driver misquoted her and that was price, and if it wasn't removed by 4pm it would go up. We made arrangements for H&K to go there and take the car to our dealership, and they went there without PAYMENT first and no line of "we need cash upfront" and towed the vehicle to where we originally wanted it brought for a sum of $65 dollars, In a stressful time of being in an accident and your only form of transportation being demolished , these THIEVES who we brought to the scene of the accident by the NEW YORK STATE POLICE,( from a place that was 20 miles from the location when there were several tow companies much closer, seems as there is some collusion ) but then you are taken advantage of with price GOUGING by literal highway robbery, not to mention there CASH ONLY policy, what legitimate business does this , as everyone knows you cant trace cash profits/ IRS take notice, and the fact that the NYS POLICE DO BUSINESS WITH THEM IS OUTRAGEOUS, IF YOU EVER HAVE THE OPPURTUNITY TO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS PLEASE DO SO THEY ARE THIEVES WITH EXTREMELY SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICE read more

When presented with a rather unique towing job (pulling an SUV out of a lake and up a steep hill), they worked together with the recovery dive team to get the job done in a very short time. Butch has followed up with me on everything that's happening with my car and has assured me over and over that he won't leave me if I need any more help. This business is just out to make money. A friend of mine was in an accident on a Tues, and instead of bringing his car directly to the shop as instructed they held it for 3 days so they could charge him for storage and another towing fee of $150.00 to his mechanics which was less than 5 miles away. my overall experiance was awful i was recently in a car accidenet and guilderland towing and recovery had taken my car from the scene on sunday 11/8/2015 and brought it back to their lot. the next day, monday 11/9/2015 i was back to gather my things from the car,school books important papers ect. and they had tried to tell me that i was not allowed to take my things from my own car which aggrivated me sincerly but i already had everything so i let it be and the man who was working then proceeded to give me a quote of $364 for their services if i had gotten the car taken care of before 4 p.m. which i was going to do. When i got home and they called me to notify me of my bill of over $500 i was rather displeased and so i called the local guilderland police who were happy to notify me of their contract with the company and accidents which said that i was to pay nothing over $341.20 which i had to have an officer there with me because they were so unwilling to oblige to their contract with the guilderland police for one day of storage which i payed in full, no problem and i had a junker car company car there by 3:30 when the man who worked at guilderland towing and recovery then proceeded to tell me that they were closed, but before that earlier in the day said they closed at 4pm and so did their sign so the man working locked the doors and left which wouldnt have mattered but he also had moved a flat bed truck in front my vehicle specifically because he didnt want me to have my car taken away so that he could charge me for another day of storage. Thus had me returing to the Guilderland police who gladly contacted the owner of guilderland towing and recovery and sent him to move the truck from in front of my car and we were able to have my car taken care of,but during the whole course of being there and dealing with the workers i had realized that they were very un professional and just overall mean and un cooperative,With clearly questionable buisness ethics. read more
