I've been living 10 years now in Albany's Center Square, and I've had my share of parking tickets which were my fault. But one thing I do, is make sure and honor the temporary no parking signs in front of homes. Unfortunately, this time, the signs were not placed in the right locations, as should be, which is the homeowner's responsibility to remedy especially if someone removed them. I arrived home late last night from work and of course it was impossible to find parking. I saw an area with some, but there was a no parking sign for two spots in front of a home having construction done. I looked up two car lengths, and there was no sign in front of the tree in the open spot, so I took it. But there was another sign two spots up which I could not see, and even then, it was not for the location I was in. Seems like someone took down the sign that was in the middle. Anyways, next morning my Jeep is gone. Talk about being extremely upset, but this is Albany Center Square, and knowing how the parking is not the greatest for residents, I took a deep breath and sighed. The parking authority doesn't care about the residents when it comes to someone else's created problem. Anyways, since this was the first time, I didn't really know what to do. I callec the Albany Po Po, and they directed me to Capitol District Towing. I was concerned since my Jeep is old. But the lady at CDT was very helpful and apologetic, even though it wasn't her fault. I got there in time to get my Jeep, which was parked safely, and just like I left it. They looked like a class act, and will use them in the future for my towing needs. Hopefully, one that is not related to Albany Parking Authority towing it when they and the resident were the ones who were at wrong.

I scheduled a follow-up appointment and dropped my car off first thing in the morning. After wasting an entire day waiting, I called at 4 PM only to be told they hadn't even looked at my car because they were "too busy." If that's the case, what's the point of making an appointment? Things only got worse from there. When I returned to the shop and expressed my concerns, staff openly used the F-word in front of me, complained about having to deal with the issue, and showed zero professionalism. Instead of standing behind their work, they suddenly claimed the noise was coming from somewhere else and that there was nothing they could do. Jaden was especially rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. If you don't know much about cars, don't expect clear or honest explanations. I paid $800, got the same problem back within three days, lost an entire day because my appointment was ignored, and was treated disrespectfully when I returned for help. Save your money.
