One of my very best friends has been telling me to try this pizza since I moved to Akron. Now I'm a fan New York style pizza. The kind that's so greasy and cheesy and thin that you have to fold it like a hotdog to eat it. This pizza I was skeptical about because it is a lot thicker. We were having a pizza and game night so I thought to try it out. We got a large banana pepper, bacon and extra cheese and with the spicy sauce and we also got a medium extra cheese, mushroom and half bacon, half pepperoni with regular sauce. For this type of pizza, it was AMAZING. The regular sauce was awesome but I did prefer the pepperoni half to the bacon because the bacon half seemed to be more baked and less of a greasy cheese pull like the pepperoni. THEY DO NOT SKIMP ON THE TOPPINGS. Very well made. I would definitely go back again. The only reason it's 4 starts instead of 5 is because the sizes do not do it justice. A medium is like a small personal and a large is like a medium. So always go a size up from what you actually want. read more

Went to this place as my Dad hasn't been back here in 40 years! There is something to be said for consistency! The crust has a nice chew, crisp bottom, and not overly thick. Great ratio of crust to toppings, and fair pricing. I will most definitely be back many times for future pizza nights! Rated Akron area best and for good reason. I be lived abroad in this world but this is my hometown favorite. The homemade sausage on pizza is by far the best ingredient. If Thursday be sure to see if you can get a limited pepperoni bread role. The sheet pizza are HUGE just as all their dough is proofed. You have to order a day in advance. They have a new online ordering system but the shop is old school. I still feel best to talk to a live person. I have hand 100s of pies made here and only one mess up. I'm not a fan of their wings, sandwiches are okay I guess. breadsticks are fine. I go here for pizza, old school Italian family style messy with lots of cheese slime on a proofed dough. Normal sauce is fine but spicy is better. They will give you extra cook on your pie if u ask. Always like the large garden salad. Only on Akron can you get like a Pound of fresh cheese on your salad. Stopped in for a late lunch a few weeks, back, after a nearby round of golf. Honestly, I'm not sure what all the "fuss" is over this pizza. Although the flavor was decent, I was mostly unimpressed with the pie overall. The crust was a bit too thick and overly doughy for my personal pizza taste. Cheese was good, but coupled with the already chewy crust did not make for a solid pie. Giuseppe and I go wayyyy back. I love the crunch of the crust just a mig of char yum, their pizza sauce reminds me of the pizza sauce my dad use to make us growing up. What a memory priceless a sense for the palette. Wow who does that? The cheese is so mouth water b careful it's piping HOT! They now have 2 locations and I was thrilled. I had recently moved away from the 60 year location( by the way I've been going there for at least 20 years!!! O my ), Now to find the new location is a few miles from my new home! Sweet an old friend found me! Now don't forget the salad with a mound of cheese hahahah cheese again!!! Love me some cheese. Our family has been ordering from Guiseppe's pretty regularly lately. Their pizza is second to none in this area (or probably the entire multi county radius, to be more exact). We have ordered their "jumbo create your own" pizzas and different from other pizza places, they allow you to choose the percentage of what type of cheese you want on the top -- 50% cheddar/50% mozzarella, 20% cheddar/80% mozzarella, 100% mozzarella. This is ingenious!!! The flavour is amazing. The toppings they have to offer are more diverse than other places too!! They actually have GREEN olives AND black. I simply love green olives and that won me over even before I tried the taste of the pizza to begin with. Now, pricing...one would concur that this pizzaria would charge more for the variety and the exceptional quality, but that isn't the case here. The pricing is phenomenal! I order at least 2 jumbo pizzas for my family of 10 and possibly a salad (another winner!) or even some wings. Let me tell you, not one piece is left over for later. The only "bad" thing about Guiseppe's is that *I* hadn't stumbled upon it earlier!!! Bravo! read more

Ordered a large chicken and bacon salad with NO croutons, got them anyway so had to pick them off, The toppings could be spread out better, had one slice of pizza with no jalapenos and the next had 3 slices, ordered diced tomatoes (x2) for the salad, if what I got was double then getting just a normal amount probably wouldn't even be noticable, the pizzas and salad tasted good (could have been better as stated above) they were ready when we were told they would be, bheing able to order and pay online is great, a real time saver. read more

Nope.......not the same. The glorious, greasy mess of a pizza is longgggg gone from here. I grew up in Green... and back in the 80's...these guys and Peppe&luigis were the go to Pizza joints. Delicious, greasy, sloppy pizza.....oh how I miss it. I could tell as soon as i opened up the box it was different. Didn't even have to taste it. The dough isn't the same at all. But oh well...I'm glad they still have a loyal following....but it's not the Guiseppes I grew up on. So, I'm giving them a lower review just based on my comparison to what they "used" to be....not on what they are now. They state they haven't changed....but I beg to differ. Best. Pizza. Ever. "Jumbo deluxe, no anchovies." Same order since forever. I've known the phone number by heart since 1980. It was the only pizza that was allowed to be brought into our house while I was growing up. While I had never heard of this establishment, I was blown away how a small hole in the wall establishment has made a big name for themselves by making killer pizza. Would I say it is the best pizza I've ever had? No, but it was damn good pizza at a damn good price. Guiseppe's pizza when you get it home is like opening your favorite box of porn and never being let down!!! The pie's are fantastic! The Sausage , Green Pep, Onions is my personal fav, but the classic Pep and Cheeessseee is awesome as well.
