A very good pizza place definitely would recommend for people who want good quality pizza

I had Guiseppe's Pizza for the first time about 7 years ago, since that time I have moved darn near walking distance from the little pizza shop, short of going downtown this is the only pizza we eat. I have learned that Tuesdays is not a good day. Why you ask? Well, it's simple. The pizza Nazi is off that day, and for some reason when he's not there the pie just doesn't taste the same. Maybe it's just me, not sure, but there is something to be said for that dry monotone voice answering the phone and sitting there on the stool when you walk in giving your name. We like our crust more crunchy than they normally bake it, thus it is ordered extra crispy. I will say that that simple request makes the pizza taste so much better! I find that they always have just the right amount of sauce and toppings. Not like some places where you get sauce oozing all over the place and one piece of pizza with 80% of the toppings. And as silly as this sounds, it is cut all the way through. You don't have to get the pizza cutter or knife out and finish the job. They do offer chicken, but honestly I think it is because some people think that you have to order chicken and potatoes with pizza. I found the chicken to be very greasy and unable to taste anything but the grease to say anything more than that. Maybe it was an off night, not sure. Don't know if I want to try again based off that experience. Is it the best pizza I have ever had, no. But it is defiantly on the top 5 list. If you are looking for atmosphere, go somewhere else. But if a simple good pizza is what you are looking for, then this is the place. read more

Used to be a very good pizza last two times paid for extra toppings got home had to get the microscope out actually they missed the pizza called Giuseppes couldn't make a management decision to have it redone as it I'll bring it back you guys take a look at it well I'm sorry doesn't have to go through DoorDash hour and 45 minutes with door - had to go to Sue's to supervisor still didn't get the proper reimbursement call Giuseppes back well will remake it for you but you're gonna have to come down and pick it up again can't do that well I'll come well during the day well I don't know if we can do it for you tomorrow I have to go through the General manager and the manager on duty tonight said she's not gonna be there and I don't know if I can make that happen for you tomorrow seriously wow no wonder why this world is the way it is can't make a management decision over a pizza to keep a long time customer happy even though you got my money I have inferior product not even what I paid for and then I have to come back to pick it up three hours later how would you feel Giuseppes... seriously seriously wow it's not rocket science the customer pays for and it's not on there they want to bring the pizza back to show you handle it apparently takes a GM and don't even know if I'm gonna get that tomorrow lost my business Giuseppe's...Plus pizza was dry and the sauce was supposed to be spicy not...it regular!... wow imagine that that's not Customer Service That's let's jerk the customer around so they lose their appetite and three hours later they OK come on down wow wow wow read more

First time for Guiseppe's Pizza. Had to try it after reading great reviews. I have not found any pizza in Stark County as good as Guiseppe's. Yes it's a drive but put your pizza in a thermal bag and it will be hot when you get home. Or eat it in your car. We got the pizza with everything. Only thing I'd change was opt out of the pepperoni. It was pretty greasy. But oh the dough!!! It was so so so good. read more

Outstanding pizza! Both the regular & thin crusts are great. All the standard toppings, & choices of regular or spicy sauce, or try the white pizza for variety. Salads are fresh, iceberg lettuce with mozzarella & goodies. They also carry Gold'n Krisp chips & the original Lawson's chip dip. What else could you ask for? This pizza is great, but the customer service is top notch! My family ordered 2 pizzas, one of which with white sauce (my fiancé hates tomatoes) . When we picked it up, the pizza had red sauce (the order slip said light sauce-understandable). The woman at the counter (didn't get her name) apologized right away and said they would make another one. My mom and I were waiting in the car and saw a bunch of people leaving with root beer bottles, which sounded good. I ran back in with some cash to buy them while we wait. She again apologized and told me we could have the drinks. It was a short wait until our pizzas were ready, and they gave us the pizza with light sauce for free. Some of the best pizza in Akron. It can be a little greasy, but good, not like some big chains. The red sauce, cheese, pepperoni and sausage are to die for. If I was rating this place with only other pizza shops within driving distance in mind then I would give this place 5 out 5. read more

Always the best sheet pizza! I had a situation a few weeks ago where I thought I ordered 3 sheet pizzas for a celebration of life. I show up there just in time! Long story short I ordered from the one not related near Cleveland. The young manager there made it right for me even though it was totally my fault! He got 6 pizzas In The oven and had them out super fast! I am so thankful! When I got to the luncheon everyone ran up to get pizza because everyone knows it's so good! Best place for party pizzas! Go there in a non peak night. Their pizza is 100 times better in non peak nights vs peak. I'm guessing that on peak nights they rush the pizzas out faster which is why they always come out doughy. The last few times we had to put it back in the oven and cook it longer to get it crispier. Get a pizza here in a Monday night and it's better than perfect. read more

I have not been back to this place in a few years since they got rid of the Hot Italian sausage that was the best. But last night we decided to give the place another go and ordered pizza. We ordered 2 large pizzas one with Pepperoni and Onion and the other with pepperoni, Onion, Mushrooms and Sausage. Well I have to say this was the worst pizza I have ever ate, it is garbage and I say that because the remains of both pizzas went right n the trash with very little eaten. It had stringy tasteless cheese and they may have had one little bit piece of onion on each slice of pizza. As for the taste it was so bland and had zero and I mean zero taste. You won't find better pizza for the price in NE Ohio. The "pizza nazi" guy won't be schmoozing with you, that's true, but he's not unfriendly, just not a schmoozer. Excellent sauce, just-right medium thickness dough, and great sausage; no new-age California pizza here, just the best in traditional. It is a hole-in-the-wall, but a pleasant one. Has a few tables for eat-in if you must (the very small dine-in area is an afterthought), but if it's warm I'd recommend asking for paper plates and napkins and head to the nearby Nimisilla Reservoir State Park for a nice picnic (less than a mile away). Have been eating Guiseppe's since 1969 and it's still the best. Forget the chains and get the good stuff here. Soft drinks and and chips available; chicken, too, but it would just crowd out the pizza so have never tried it : ) . read more

Hands down, the best pizza in the world. It doesn't look like much on the outside and there's not much seating on the inside (it's meant for to go orders) but that's because it's all about the pizza. Truly the perfect pie. Their salads and homemade italian dressing also shouldn't be missed! read more

Consistency great pizza! The crust is always cooked properly (never soggy or over cooked). They had a decently size menu. I've always done carry out but the inside dining area looks comfortable. The staff is always nice. read more

I had my first Guiseppe's experience this weekend. I ordered a pizza and some wings. The wait was said to be 25 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes after placing my order and was greeted as soon as I walked in. I instantly received my pizza when I arrived. However, my wing order was forgotten, I then received my wings nearly 30 minutes after my pizza. My pizza wasn't fully cut, and I received 6 wings when the menu states 8-10. The employees were kind enough to compensate me with chips or drink of choice. The employees were very polite and overall creates a good environment. I've been wanting to try this place for some time now, but it was not the ideal first experience. Granted it was later in the evening I ordered, but everyone else coming in was there less than 5 minutes. I'll be giving Guiseppe's a second chance in the future, hopefully a better experience and a 4-5 star review next time around! read more

I am 56 years old and have eaten hundreds of pizzas from Columbus to Cleveland and this is the best pizza ever!!!! The crust is amazing, the sauce tasted great, not greasy at all. The only criticism I an come up with is that I ordered a jumbo size and it was only a 14 inch. read more

Guiseppe's has one of the best pizza pies I have eaten. Their sauce is delicious and just the right amount, and they cover the pie in cheese. The deluxe is my favorite. Another favorite is their white pizza, which is a Garlic, Olive Oil, Mushrooms, Onions, Banana Peppers, Black Olives, Diced Tomatoes, and Provolone and Cheddar Cheeses delight! Guiseppe's has a myriad of other specialty pizzas, such as the vegetarian and the meat lover's. Along with other good pies, they serve sandwiches and pepperoni bread.
