One of which was brand new off the dealer lot. Head-unit screens turning on and off, sound cutting in and out, incessant hissing, broken and damaged interior pieces, bent door clips, uninsulated wires left touching bare metal. You name an issue they caused it. This shop to put it politely has an elementary school level understanding of physics, the concept of Ohm's law is lost on the two individuals who work here. I will not claim to be an expert on these topics but the people who are working on the complicated the electrical systems of modern vehicles should be and I'm telling you these guys aren't it. For example, everybody from DIYer to professional mechanic knows you should remove the NEGATIVE battery terminal first before performing electrical work to avoid damage to the sensitive computer controlled electronics in a vehicle. These lovely gentlemen A. Don't do that and B. If they do disconnect your battery out of necessity to install an amplifier, they remove the positive terminal only, risking short circuiting your entire vehicle. The amount of uninsulated connections was appalling, wires with no insulation left dangling just asking to touch bare metal and potentially damage the vehicle. On an amusing note, their use of car audio jargon is just a poor attempt to confuse and mislead you in to buying more upgrades or services from them. Don't fall for it, they don't know what half the words that come out of their mouth mean. The owner referred to the amplifier turning on and off causing the sound to cut as clipping when that's simply not what clipping is. There are countless examples of this nonsense that I've observed over the past three months, please don't fall for it like I did, save your money go else where, or hey use it an excuse to learn a new skill. An amateur can do a better job than these guys. They'll upsell you or deny every issue they cause: Hissing? At first "oh that's normal" and then "oh you need a new head unit" Steering controls not working? a new module Amplifier turning off randomly? You need a new amp and wiring Broken plastic? "It happens your just obsessive" The funniest proposed solution has to have been using an official apple charging cable as if that was going to solve the kindergartener level internal wiring job done to my poor cars. I'm sure the owner will reply to this with the a high school flunky level to attempt to discredit my character and claims but I welcome it, I've included pictures of some not all of the disastrous things they did to my car. You can judge for yourself who's right. I'm normally understanding when it comes to professional work not turning out the way it should as I realize it can be complicated but this is over the line. I'm waiting patiently for the "well you had these issues with one car before us", a boldfaced lie, my head unit rebooted once or twice in the year I've owned it before bring it to this place and the other car was brand new with less than 500 miles on it. In our final interaction, he told me I was obsessing over small details and kicked me out of the shop saying "your done" like I was a child he was reprimanding. I don't think wanting your sound system to work 100% of the time and not wanting your interior damaged with super glue, adhesive, wire strands and broken plastic is obsessive and I think most people would agree. Learn from my mistakes, and spend your money elsewhere.

Told me to swing by with my cappuccino covered MacBook. He dried it, checked for crunches, did a quick look at the motherboard and gave me the thumbs up good to go - no charge. So when we're living in a culture where you're expected to tip the barista for pulling the soda out of the fridge, this was above and beyond. I'm a customer for life here and you should be too. Went here about a week ago to get a simple cartridge swap done on my basic Audio Technica…read moreturntable. Decided to go on Tuesday since it was their late day. I arrived there about 30 mins before their close time but unfortunately they had some issues that caused them to close early. Anyways, I spoke with the owner John and he said he was gonna return in an hour so I decided to grab something to eat then head back since it was a decent drive from my house. Took a little longer than an hour, but things happen. When John got there, he gladly changed the cartridge for me on the spot (during after hours) and I hung out there while listening to some music on his killer setup. He was a very friendly guy that got the job done in 30 mins and for a reasonable price. My advice is to call before you go to make sure that they're open but they're a great little shop that has plenty of experience (27 years worth!) I'll definitely be returning I'm sure for all related repairs/audio purchases.

Hard to get parking on the street in front of the record store. There's a few spots, but I went around to a parking lot around back behind where the hardware store in diner are. I went and it was pretty busy even on a Tuesday at around 1:15 PM. I was impressed how well organized the store was clean looking too. One of the employees notice me and said "may I help you" I said I was just looking around. I see how it's organized with the CDs and DVDs. He said in the back of the vintage records and cassettes . Everything was laid out very nicely and organized well. Lots and lots of DVDs Blu-ray discs lots and lots of CDs. Many many records as well. Prices looked great on the DVDs. Somewhere $.99 dollar $.99 $2.99 TV box sets also inexpensive. Very good prices on The Records as well. CDs as well but I didn't look at too many of them. I really wanted to check out the cassette section. They had two big sections of cassettes both of them. You had to ask one of the employees to open up the sliding doors. Except for one section with folk cassettes, and some Grateful Dead live cassettes. Immediately picked out about 10 folk cassettes . Pete seger Bonnie Raitt. The letterman, etc.. I went up to the front and told the guy to please unlock the cassette area. Lots of rock and pop from A-to-Z. Most prices were $.99 $1.99. $2.99 $3.99. Some more hard to get ones were $4.99 $6.99. Anyway, I picked up well over 30 tapes. Definitely some I haven't seen before on cassette others. I wanted to get, but were a little pricey in other stores. I told the guy was ready at the front and he came back to lock the area where all the cassettes were. He said wow you got quite a collection of tapes there. He helped carry up a bunch of them. I left them at the counter for them to start pricing. They said thank you for helping clear out some of the cassettes. Maybe not that many people get cassettes anymore. But I still have a cassette deck in my Lincoln town car. As well as a nice couple of boxes, walkmans and a nice tape deck for my stereo system hi-fi system Lots of good CDs. I looked at while they were checking out the tapes The employees were very friendly. I talked to them as they were finishing ringing up the tapes they gave me a punchcard and I got five punches. They told me the stores been there for 40+ years. I'll have to go back and look through the CDs and DVDs next time I go down there. I would definitely recommend this record store. Everything is clean, not dusty or musty laid out very nicely and clearly. There are fantastic deals here. Be careful you might spend too much money and go home with a load of stuff.

You might find something neat here or there but for those wondering why they are called Mr. Cheapo, it's likely because of the experience selling items to the store. Not pleasant, they will lowball you to less than 10% of the value of your item, hem and haw about how they won't be able to sell it for much, then list it for way way way more than they told you they would. I come here if I'm bored and need to kill some time but it's never a fun experience really.
