My sister taught private clarinet and other horned instrument lessons at Hallman's for years and worked the retail side of the business for a year or so. Sister is a retired band director and a talented clarinetist. Hallman's is an authorized dealer for a variety of instruments, and offers private lessons, rental instruments and a small-ish retail are and private rooms on-site for the private lessons. Over the years, I've bought guitar strings, picks, and accessories as gifts for my brother and husband and when I realized my stepson had a decent trumpet and case that he was never going to use, it was Hallman's to the rescue! They cleaned and tuned the trumpet and whatever they do to the keys [replace the pads maybe?] and I think, replaced the mouthpiece. All for a reasonable price in a reasonable amount of time. In my cubefarm at the time, I was able to sell the refurbished trumpet to a colleague who was in need of one, making it a "win win" for all. Thanks Hallman's for being locally owned and locally operated for so long and for filling a need in the regional music scene!
