I called in, a sweet human answered the phone. I scheduled an appointment. Went in, it was great! Sam cleaned my teeth, and she was the absolute BEST! Saw Dr.Scott (is a dentist a doctor? maybe, idk they say so, let's not get in the academia conversation here of what degree makes you what) So, Dr.Scott was great (he has great teeth too), went in for a few fillings, and he was like Yanni playing 6 keyboards. He has been doing this shit for a min! Some may say he's quick cause he wanna see more people in the day, and maybe that's right. But im ok with having someone in and out of my mouth QUICKLY! And he's good at that. And he does a great job. The ambiance in the clinic is great, music taste differs, but it's not a night club! Also, Hannah over the phone was great when i had questions. Thx Hannah. One thing i would change is have doors to where you are being examined/treated/being gagged, i would like more privacy usually! One one more thing, they send you a SHIT TON of emails to put a review, like i had to push the "unsubscribe" button. Should have gave them the other email. read more

My schedule is kind of crazy because I travel for work usually. They have always been great to squeeze me in whenever they have a cancellation or an opening, even last minute minute when I realize I'm past my due date for a cleaning. Office is nice & clean. Professional staff. The chairs have little massagers while you get your teeth cleaned. There is paid parking across the street, & I'm not sure if they can validate. I would say most of their patients live in the Gulch & walk. I'm usually in & out in less than 45 minutes. Definitely recommend them. read more

I moved here recently from Atlanta and had to find a new dentist office (and everything else for that matter)! Gulch Dental Studio is less than a mile from my place, so decided to give them a try. They got me an appointment within 3 weeks, which I thought was great! The office is beautiful, very modern and just overall pretty. The staff is so sweet! They're all pretty young (at least they look it haha) which actually made me feel comfortable. The equipment is also super modern. I'll be honest- I hate the new automatic vibrating tool to remove plaque. OMG it hurts my teeth! Haha not their fault, but just... beware. That's my only complaint though, loved them! read more

I made my appointment several months before since I was coming as a new patient and needed something early in the morning before work. I received no communication leading up to the appointment and almost forgot about it until the evening before. I try calling the morning of but no answer, I'm starting to wonder if they are closed until I receive a reply to my email from the night before that states my appointment is at 8:45. I get there early to be told it was actually at 7:45 and they also had my phone number wrong so no follow up confirmations along with phone trouble on their end that morning so no answers to my calls. After waiting months for this dentist I will try them still with my rescheduled appointment but so far it has been a very frustrating experience especially when now I have to take off work twice for their mistake. read more

Love the Gulch Dental Studio all around. They are always flexible with working around my work schedule and not to mention, they are always willing to answer any of my questions when its comes to basic procedures and billing. Dr. Harris has been wonderful each time I have had a cavity or crown done and his dental hygienists are fast, efficient, and friendly. I love that they even have updated technology, so I can drown out any kind up pleasant sounds with the tools. I am sensitive to almost everything in regards to dental work and they have down a wonderful job at keeping me entertained or distracted throughout the process. Not to mention, their chairs even massage you while you are getting work done!! Lastly, I embarrassingly admit that I had to get a night guard due to grinding at night (yay work stress haha!), however after Dr. Harris and I talked through it all - he helped me understand the long term importance of it and I am extremely happy I went through with it. First visit was yesterday, Friday April 7th, and I got a cleaning and X-rays,dental exam and eval and saw the orthodontist to discuss Invisalign. Jeff Trembley --- the Dentist-- is cool and has an eye for detail. Straight away he noted issues that needed to be addressed---- several fillings....and some recession. *****UPDATE****** Second appointment April 25, 2017 So... In TN, it seems most people with health insurance through work have dental coverage. Wonderful. I'm an independent contractor new to TN and still without insurance thanks to NYC's insurance not extending beyond NYS. At any rate, this office knew I was self-pay before the work was done but I guess forgot or just assumed I wouldn't mind paying $1300 for 4 fillings (!!) because NOBODY disclosed this insane price prior. Perhaps I should have asked however I figured I wasn't the first person that had gone threw there without insurance who was new to town and, that, perhaps---- they would work out a payment plan with me!!! (Something my NYC dentist always made sure to do!). Yes I personally feel it was overpriced but after all, this is the gulch and a very pretty office so what do ya expect?! Talk about a crap day.... I was told to "not eat steak or anything for dinner" from the dentist. Well sir after paying that bill I don't think I'll be eating steak for a while . If I would have known there was not a payment plan or some sort of discount for those paying straight cash, I would have gone elsewhere. read more

I live right down the street from this Dentist office so obviously it was a convenience for me but I was also pleasantly surprised at how nice and most importantly how honest they are they are. I had moved two or three years prior from living in another place so it had been a long time since I had been to a dentist. They easily could've told me that I had all kinds of issues with my teeth and but said they were perfectly fine. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a pristine luxury lobby, gorgeous decor, with all social distancing and sterilization measures in place which shows how much they value the safety of their staff and patients. The front desk was very helpful and swift in checking me in. Hygienist, Jenna, was very friendly, quickly took x-rays, was thorough,yet gentle, took her time but was efficient and explained every step of the cleaning. She provided a recommendation for ongoing maintenance to ensure future visits are a breeze. I hope I get her for my February cleaning. Dr. Harris is the friendliest and most comforting Dentist there is. I woke up with a sensitive tooth, called and made an appointment for that day, even showed up 30 minutes early and got right in , quick X-rays and found out I needed a root canal, they had me out the door within 1 hour! Speedy, job well done. Very kind, helpful, caring staff. Last summer i chipped a tooth during the day , and got in for an appointment within 30minutes. They fixed my tooth and i was out the door in 15 minutes total. (No issues with the tooth since then!) My favorite dentist office ever!!! Surprised there are so many 5-star reviews. Yes, atmosphere is beautiful, but service is lacking. The office manager was unable to open the x-ray files from my prior dentist and would not call them herself to sort it out. Also, the hygienist's sprayer was leaking and she sprayed water all over my face during the cleaning while giggling about it. Finally, I indicated on my intake form that I was not interested in anything cosmetic, but both the hygienist and dentist tried to upsell me on whitening products. read more

This will be my second review I've ever left for any business unfortunately - I spoke to a woman named Kristen today about rescheduling an appointment I had today. I completely understand the importance of this because I work in a world where appointments are of equal importance to make a living - The response was "Well you are going to have to pay a penalty fee" and this isn't ok.
