I've bought 2 boats from GCM in Corpus. I really like the owner and the service department does a good job and have a quick turnaround.

I recently stopped by the Texas Watercraft and Marine at 10621 SPID in Corpus Christi, Texas and…read morewas immediately greeted by a very friendly and energetic young lady by the name of Deanna. The positive attitude and service were great. The time she took to help me with my engine issue was very much appreciated. I do not normally give reviews but their professionalism warrants one. I look forward to my next visit there. Sincerely, Tommy Nelms

These guys used to have a small shop off SPID. Someone with some money came a long and figured…read morethese guys had a good thing going and if he gave them some cash for a better location and more workers and a better shop everyone would make some good money. The problem is that I don't think these guys know how to operate beyond just a few workers. We used to take our jet ski's to these guys when they were on SPID because they did a good job, quickly, and for a fair price. When they moved we took our jet ski's over to the new location because they needed some work. They were going to have to rebuild one of them. I get this information after they had the PWC for about a month. I give them the green light. I follow up and follow up, no progress. I finally get BBB involved and they finally get one of the two PWC fixed up. The one that needed the rebuild never got it done. I don't think they had the money to order the parts or something. I really don't know. After about 6 months we got our PWC back and they had let them sit in the sun for the entire time. Baking the vinyl and the fiberglass. We since gave the PWC away. I don't know that there are a lot of options in Corpus for PWC but if you have another choice I'd go with it. I was very reasonable in terms of communicating and I was very understanding about the ball getting dropped. At the end of the day these guys just failed me. They didn't used to, it wasn't until the business got beyond their control.

It seems only in small towns you find businesses and people like are at Rockport Marine. Now, you…read morecan find lower prices & larger selections elsewhere, but what you wont find is knowledge, customer service and the mindset of building, fostering and maintaining relationships. I have been coming to Rockport Marine for a few years for parts for my boats and older motors. When it came time to re-power and I talked to local guides and others, the universal answer was "to go to Rockport Marine." Re-Power estimate was spot on with invoice even though they missed a couple items needed and even replaced an item they said they damaged, even though it was minor and only cosmetic and likely a result of the age of the item, not technician malfeasance or carelessness. Jeff insisted they replace it on their dime against my objection to do so as I didn't feel it warranted. Now, there were a couple of minor issues upon delivery which when found they owned and promptly corrected. A man 's or business's ability to own up to their mistakes speaks to character. Support after the sale has been epic as well, thus far and I expect in the future. The owners of the business are on site every day they are opened and will step in to take care of you if they need to, another quality not found at larger big box type places. Like one local fishing guide told me, I will tell you. Go to Rockport Marine and go nowhere else. If they don't have what you need, wait for it and let them get it. The marginal amount more you might pay is worth the level of service and support the provide.

Service long after the sale.....another uncommon experience that's not forgotten here…read more So it's been over a year since doing a re power on my boat. The new steering wheel installed by Rockport Marine as a freebie add on was getting loose and wiggly (that's a technical nautical term lol ) . For other reasons I decided to upgrade it to a smaller wheel to improve clearance between the helm and the seat. When the new one came in they assisted in what should have been a simple install that turned into a bit more. Upon inspection of the old wheel it was discovered the quality of the welds on it were sub par. Now I didn't ask for this, the owner told the cashier at ring up to only charge me the dealerships cost for the new wheel not retail price. This after a free assist in install. He said he was disappointed in the quality of the original wheel from a reputable manufacturer and the inconvenience it caused. This is service long after the sale. This is how you build lifelong relationships and customers that feel like family.
