Had a brain MRI today, Easy in and out. Technician David was awesome. Professional and Knowledgeable. The equipment was an upgrade from what I had 5 years ago someplace else. The window is behind wall to left when you come through door and are shut. You have to knock and someone will assist you. April 9, 2021 Referred here by neurosurgeon Jeremy Wang. Drove in from Galveston. Had MRI and X-rays done on lower back. Everyone was really nice. Place was clean. Covid protocols in place The MRI machine was really small...even with the knee pillow (prop) I couldn't bend my knees too much once inside machine. Nice staff and building, but I waited for almost an hour past my scheduled time, my MRI felt very rushed, and the images were of the wrong part of my body, which may not have been their fault, but was still upsetting. They also made it difficult to get my images and results to my doctor. read more

Their check in staff was very helpful. The MRI technician was friendly and knowledgeable. The supervisor/manager was terrible. I asked to be sent a copy of my neck MRI. She said my doctor would get a copy of the results in 3 days. She said I would have to come back in a month to get the report. ?? Other places that have done MRIs have gladly provided those reports. I would not recommend using Gulf Coast MRI when you could be using another business that is accommodating. read more

The staff is amazing. Everyone is so helpful from the front desk to the people who give the MRI and Xrays and the billing department. The are open early in the morning and late at night. They look out for the patients. Have plenty of parking . Waiting room is nice and big not cramped. read more

They were VERY busy and paperwork was complicated. I felt like cattle being herded, but the techs were nice and efficient.

If I could give this place a lower rating, I would. The first time I was there (last fall) I waited 2.5 hours past my appointment time, so I don't see why they would call this fast or speedy. During what was supposed to be an Upper GI, I ended up getting an upper AND lower because their staff is completely useless and incompetent that they didn't even know what procedure they were supposed to be doing. The next time I was there was recently. This time they called me the day before to confirm the appointment. When they told me it was going to be $400, I almost cancelled it for financial reasons, so I asked if they still had my Medicare on file and was the price AFTER Medicare taking care of their part, it turned out to be that they didn't even know that I had Medicare, so the person who I spoke with told me that they were going to verify my Medicare coverage that they would call me back with the new cost. Well... I never received a return call, so I went in blind. When I went to pay, I was told it was $400 and that they didn't have my Medicare on file. Then they said they couldn't do it unless I put SOMETHING DOWN....so I had to pay $200 and let them keep my husbands credit card on file and charge it in 2 weeks. And that they would refund the money if they get the approval from Medicare after my primary insurance payed. When I called the following week, I was told that it still hadn't even been billed, and after a good 20-30 minutes of arguments, they agreed to refund $120 and then they would refund the rest of it upon approval... 3 (almost 4 weeks) later I'm hearing that I won't be getting the refund because the other $80 would be my copay. The last time I had called them, I called Medicare myself, just to find out that I shouldn't have to pay anything because my deductable has been met and had they called the day before like they were supposed to, I wouldn't have had any out of pocket cost. Now the reason that they are not going refund was that Medicare doesn't cover it 100% and that they would not even know until Cigna picked up their part... They have still not billed it to Cigna!! So multiple excuses.. The lady I spoke with from Medicare warned me that they would likely still try to find other ways to keep the money... She was right! The girl behind the counter the day of my MRI, the girl on one side of the counter was busy making sure her makeup and fake lashes were good and eating her donuts. The tech who did my X-ray didn't even know how many she was supposed to take, and then she had to leave the room twice... THEN she had to do 3 or 4 retakes because she couldn't get it right. I see how they run that place... Such professionalism, such care and all "quick". (insert sarcasm here). Long story short, they lack in customer service, they will rip you off and not take responsibility but instead give a bunch of different excuses on why, and at this point, I can't help but wonder if their techs are even licesened or certified, and they are completely rude and disrespectful. read more

I have had to use this facility several times, without any issues. My daughter has also received service here, no complaints from her either. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The techs are very professional, show patience, and are cautious not to hurt their patients (myself and my daughter for example). We were never left waiting long. Sometimes not long enough to finish a good article in one of their many magazines! Some of the best features are easy parking, even has a drop off area, its NOT a hospital, I've never seen it very crowded, they offer evening appointments, and it takes most insurance policies (i.e. check with your own carrier first). read more

Readers: When your Dr. sends to get an MRI to a specific place, that doesn't mean you have to go THERE. YOU HAVE A CHOICE. My DR. sent me to Gulf Coast MRI at 3692 E. Sam Houston Pkwy S., Ste 200. Selena, called me numerous times and left me voicemails with specific instructions regarding fasting, bring ID, bring INS info and time of appointment. I even called her to confirm the info. NO MENTION OF THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I WAS EXPECTED TO PAY. When I arrived, I was finally told what I was expected to pay: $500.00. They got their money, but I will never use their services again. The amount of money I was responsible for, SHOULD have been disclosed in the numerous messages and during our phone conversations. NOBODY should have to be surprised with a bill of that amount. I called to voice my opinion to the office manager, Stacie Carreron, and I left numerous messages. I NEVER got a call back for 4 days. It was a voicemail. I called the main office on 830 Gemini and had to set the record straight. Their answer was that I could come to their office in the future instead. Wrong answer. I want 100% transparency when I deal with the vendors who get the referrals automatically from the Dr. No more of that. I learned my lesson. They do not AUTOMATICALLY get my business!!!!!! I would rate this place a -0 (zero). I had a order for a Ultrasound of my mid to upper thigh due to a large mass. The tech totally missed the mass and only scanned my groin even though I showed her the mass and told her it was in my groin. When the report came back, it only showed a tiny enlarged lymph node. When the nurse called me back from the Drs office, she said no big deal, just a tiny enlarged lymph node. I ended up back in the Drs office and a Nurse Practioner did a portable scan and immediately saw the large mass and probable lipoma. I was then referred to a General Surgeon to remove and biopsy the large mass. This is worse than terrible and if I wasn't a nurse myself it could have had very bad consequence. Will never go back and the Dr will never refer there again. read more

I've been here several times in the other location and this new location on Gemini. Overall it hasn't been a bad experience for the most part. I came in this morning for an X-Ray for my urologist. I called last week to try to set an appointment and was told that I didn't need one. This morning I came in and was told that there were some kind of procedures going on And asked if I had an as appoinment? I told the girl at the window that they said I didn't need one!! So my suggestion would be even though they say you don't need one, tell them you do want one to make sure they get you in at the time you need to get your X-Ray, CT scan, or MRI done. In my case, I came here almost two and a half hours before my Doctors appointment to get an X-Ray which should have been plenty of time. My doctor requires the images at least an hour and a half before the office visit. So please make yours too make sure you don't have any uh-ohs!!! read more

This was my second time going to the Clear Lake location. Inadvertently I contacted the Pasadena location and Antonia was more than helpful in getting me scheduled for the Clear Lake location, but was surprising I called on a Thursday and was able to come in that Saturday. The front office staff, and technicians were not only professional but friendly and brought ease to being in a tube for 30-45 minutes. I have been to a few other facilities but Gulf Coast MRI & Diagnostic Center will be my go to facility for imaging services. Also their pricing is competitive I saved $400 dollars than going to a facility the my doctor suggested. read more

Great price and it applied to insurance deductible ... 900 less than hospital.. Got me in quick and provided results quickly. Results available within 12 hours and provided a CD to take away as well. MRI this was elbow was uncomfortable but this is not my living room couch and tech did what she could to get it over quickly. I would recommend and use them again. read more

Had my MRI October 14th. The tech that did my MRI was the nicest man I've ever meet in the Medical field. If there was one improvement I would surely tell them that there is something they could do to make each person more comfortable that has a MRI taking up to 1 1/2 hours. I've heard of other places that had padding on the table so I know its possible. Laying on a very hard table more then 30 minutes is so uncomfortable. Being in pain already just made it worse. Worst facility ever! I went in a few weeks ago and thought it was the worst service ever! Starting with scheduling to me coming in to my appointment! Staff was rude and never seemed helpful! My doctor went to order another test on me and went to send me back to Gulf Coast. I figured if my doctor is sending me over there that I would give it another try! They called to schedule me and I returned the call and spoke to the rudist person ever! She was just short and I could tell didn't want to stay on the phone long. I finally asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the supervisor. I than asked to speak to her boss and she put the manager on the phone that was so rude and just kept making excuses for her supervisor! I was so upset I hung up and called my doctors office and they apologized and told me that the facility was under new management that they didn't even like dealing with them anymore, but had to send there because there doctor was invested! Needless to say i would rather go to the hospital and pay more than go back to that facility! The service was horrible and the wait time was even worse!! read more
