I usually order their salt and pepper shrimp dinner plate which comes with 6 pc shrimp, 1 bread, salad, and your choice of french fries or shrimp fried rice. Their shrimp is always so crispy and the salt and pepper may be overbearing for some, but paired with sides is perfect to me. Typically, I do get it to-go, as I normally and getting something for just myself, but the interior has more than enough space and is rather clean. This place has gone through MANY business names from the 70's to today.. but here, Vince's Seafood has the lunch time spot. We like to order: Catfish Strip plate, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Stuffed Shrimp. Catfish Strips: Battered and fried in a good fine grain corn meal that gives you enough season and crisp to the fish while keeping the it flaky and fresh. Sometimes people over fry the food where it is burnt in old oil or too fast and the meat of the fish is not flaky... just more rubbery. NOT here... the strips were really good and I never used a sauce, they were just that good and I did not want to ruin the fresh flavor. Shrimp Fried Rice: my daughters favorite here. The rice is moist, the shrimp are small and bite sized while being cooked good, and the rice is not "days old" like some places try to serve you. Give it a try..its worth it for the taste and the value. Stuffed shrimp: Not the best, but real good for what you are ordering. Big pieces that are cooked well and seasoned good. All plates listed above came with fries and a small bite sized salad. The salad was fresh with a "thousand island" styled dressing and the fries were freshly fried perfectly with a light salt from the food that sat on top of it in our "to go" box. For hospitality business, one needs to hospitable! i tried ordering crawfish and the guy in charge bluntly responded "it's out of the season!" with a demeaning tone. I am not from Texas so the superfluous knowledge of knowing what's out of season is insulting. There's better way to inform there customers nicely or simply have a different posted menu if you no tolerance to explain things. Not all their customers are LOCAL. I am satisfied with the food I ordered but I am not coming back. There are a lot more restaurant options that will treat me well and with good food.
