Also feels like a family owned type of deal which was nice to see. I didn't spend a lot of time in the common areas, so cannot comment much on the state of the pool or tiki bar other than that they looked well kept. On fri/sat nights there was a solid crowd using both. I was able to find some secluded areas with hammocks and fire pits, which I appreciated. My room had a spacious and fenced back yard with multiple tables and an umbrella. There is smoking allowed in the yards and a few times I could smell my neighbors cigarettes while outside. Not a huge deal. Stove, kitchen sink, microwave, mini fridge, and tv in my unit as well. Lots of utensils and plates in the cabinets. Only takeaways I could note that keep my review from being a perfect 5 stars - the parking situation is rough. The front lot was always full due to how small it is. The back lot is unpaved and shared with the public tiki bar. Tight lanes and cramped spaces that are flooded with drunk people leaving at night since they aren't staying at the hotel. I didn't feel my car was very safe from scratches/bumps on weekend nights. Also the unpaved lot kicked up lots of dust onto my luggage and shoes, which ended up all over the inside of my car. It's gravelly mud as well so it's stuck to my seats and floor mats. Probably was worse than usual since i was loading my luggage after a night of rain. That being said, the parking was free. So take this relatively menial issue as you will.

They start at 7:30am and quit at 6:00pm. Hammers Pounding, playing LOUD music, Workers yelling, saws running, nail guns all day long. With all the buildings this resort has lost to hurricane Milton (massive damage to this Resort) they could easily build these planters somewhere else and not next to their remaining guests rooms. Very inconsiderate! Rude! They offer No housekeeping service, and you must empty all garbage cans and remove from your unit or they will charge you a fee! They text you this message the night before you checkout. They treat you like it's a VRBO, when it is a resort!! Manasota Key Resort. No fiber optics on the island since hurricane Milton, even local TV and internet is sketchy. They are barely open here. I recommend staying at the Pink Shell Resort or Margaritaville at Fort Myers Beach, about the same price with housekeeping service, dining on site, internet and you are treated as a valued guest.

This vacation was a Christmas present for my daughter & myself -- we literally booked this trip in December of 2020 and by April of 2021 the hotel was 95% sold out. June 2021 was a terrible time to travel. The people traveling for vacation (demand) was more than what the airlines/ car rental companies (supply) could keep up with, and we got caught in that drama. We planned to arrive in Ft. Myers by mid day but numerous cancelations plus problems with Enterprise put us at WannaB at 2am. We stayed connected with Meggie about our trip. The communication was great. She made arrangements to put a lock box on our door, and text us the code so we could have keys to our room after hours. We really appreciated the customer service!!! Our ten day trip was pretty cool. We got five star service at this two star hotel. There were a few issues along the way, but when we expressed our concerns, WannaB Inn fixed them to our satisfaction. We stayed in the Sea Star, by the pool, king sized bed, spacious living space and a kitchenette. I have a few tips to share that made our experience spectacular: TIP: Native Charter Company, family owned, native to the area, sunset cruise, leaves from Lemon Bay, $25.pp for one hour. Located on one of the wealthiest beaches - this place is older and affordable. The amenities are few, and a lot of the decor is outdated and cheap chain hotelesque, such as ugly fake floral arrangements and tacky placemats. The kitchens have been updated in the last few years (2013 and ongoing). Granite kitchen counters and new dishwashers. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove, dishwasher, plates, bowls, cups and such. The basics, perfect for a week or so. There is a super upscale Publix directly across the street. Even though the place is older - it is always clean. It's quiet and it's on a beautiful stretch of beach. You can go from your room to being in the gulf in 100 steps. What more can you ask for? They have shuffle board, basketball hoop/tennis court combo, beach volley ball, ping pong table, pool table and bikes. There are also board games for check out at the front desk. There are plenty of chaises by the pool and on the beach. It is a timeshare so there are always owners who never want to trade because they love the place. There are also plenty of people who traded to be there and first time renters. One of our favorite places to be!

I travel for work and stay in hotels all across the country so I know a few things about customer service. First off it's a no frills type of place so don't expect greatness but it also isn't the slums. We stayed in unit 21 facing the courtyard. The queen room was extremely compact and I'm guessing 250 sf tops. It did have a small kitchen with one of the smallest sinks I ever washed dishes in but it worked. They do supply just about everything u need to cook a small dinner or breakfast if u choose to do while your staying. The fridge was nice and worked ( made strange noises both nights ) & the shower was decent ( not the greatest pressure but it was hot ) we found a local grocery store and picked up items for breakfast. Both morning we made bacon and eggs and chilled outside Parking seemed small but we always had a place to park when we made it back from being out. Here's the pros & cons imo Cons ----- tiny Ants in the kitchen were annoying, zero breakfast options , small rooms , no DVD players in the room, all types of odd noises throughout the day and night. We kept hearing noises coming from the drains ( gurgling ) shower pressure was very low but got the job done. Pro's ---- Walking distance to the beach ( less than 200 ft , room AC will freeze u out , the queen bed was decent , they have outdoor grills ( 2 ) 3 sets of tables to sit and chill for morning coffee or dinner. Very quiet atmosphere especially since there's a huge Public parking area right next door. The girls in the office were pretty friendly. Maintence guy was super nice and took care of a few issues we had very quickly. Overall it's a really good place to stay. It's an older place for sure but it has a certain charm that pulls u in. Would I stay here again ahh I don't know. I think foe the money u pay it's a good place but I'm pretty sure if u wanted greatness it's also here in Venice as well. I really wished there was an in room DVD player because we brought out wedding video from 21 years ago to sit and watch There's a place called Pop's sunset grill that we had dinner @ that was awesome. The front desk staff was welcoming upon check in and gave me a $6 coupon for the restaurant that I forgot to use for breakfast and you can't use it on cocktails. The rooms were sparkling clean with more than enough room for my dog's crate and my luggage. The bathrooms were bright and I liked the rainfall shower with awesome water pressure. The location made it really easy to explore the area. There was a really cute dog park only 10 minutes drive away. The water views next to the hotel were also great and nice to stroll in the evening when I arrived and the next morning. I would happily stay here with my dog again.

The rooms were extremely clean, well the whole property is. Along the road around this hotel is some nice little row of motels but this place is more like little private bungalows. They have a little path to the beach which you could borrow a wagon and haul your stuff for the day. We were on the marina side so we got to watch the boat launch follies and enjoyed watching the fishermen come and go. Enjoyed the location close to a couple of reastaraunts right on the water and rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed a day on the water. Fabulous hideaway!
