    Cappuccino (in a mug)

(Adding extra star due to low overall score.) Nice caffe. Interior is decent. Selection is quite vast. Coffee is good. Can ask for a mug instead of a paper cup. Service is fast. You order at the counter and a waiter will bring you your order.

Came here with my son for breakfast, never been here before. Honestly expected more from it. 3 stars because cappuccino and my son's hot chocolate were good. My son had a croissant, I had something with cheese forgot what it's called, and then asked for a piece of kadayif and unfortunately everything was stale so that was disappointing. Don't think I'll be back.

I'd be curious if anyone could explain to me the phenomenon of Turkish establishments proliferating in otherwise Russain/Georgian/Uzbek Brighton Beach. Is this to cater to Russians' nostalgia for vacations on the Black Sea? In any case, despite this being a branch of a much-trusted brand (see my 5 star review for the Cliffside Park location), the baklava looked rather stale on a recent visit, and the su boreki that we tried was decidedly mediocre. My saddest moment here was when I asked if they had sahlep, my favorite Turkish sweet hot beverage, which is served at the Cliffside Park branch. But the Russian server interpreted my question as regarding "salad," and had clearly never heard of the famous drink.

It's good portion and hot chocolate was okay. I can't eat, like 7 pieces, now I know :-). I gave $5 tips (I just believe, that you gotta earn tips). My stomach was feeling alright, -- I didn't get poisoned. I have waited for an hour, it was my asap order for yesterday, now I know. :))

Came here again after 2 years. I am reviewing the desserts, not the ambiance. I personally like my baklava more soaked, and not too sweet, and this place had what I like. It so has other lesser known varieties of desert, rice pudding two types for example. Will I travel here just for baklava? No. But definitely will stop by and grab some to eat and for take away. Dough/nuts/sugar ratio is excellent, and service is friendly (you are in Brighton Beach afterall). Someone asked why Turkish places in Brighton Beach. Yes, Turkey bring regular destination now for post-Soviet tourism, but also jobs and even property ownership. For Central Asians, Turkish food and desserts is a standard fare now back home.

Didn't try the Baklava. It was breakfast and coffee for me this morning. This place is my larger inside than it appears on the outside. It's a Turkish establishment from Turkey founded in 1871. This location has been around for about 20 years. Situated a block away from the Q train exit (in the northside), it is worth going just for their Turkish coffee. I got the double. It was the perfect temperature, consistency and taste. I ordered 3 eggs breakfast. It can with sliced cucumbers and some tomatoes and Turkish bread. Total cost was $9.25! I then purchased a few baked goods to go. I forget what the are called but it looks like a twisted pinwheel flakey pastry on the outside and I got one meat filled and the other spinach. I haven't tried the latter yet, but the ground beef filled one was not saucy at all or fatty. It has some nice spices and a gReat tie-over snack until lunch.

I travel all the way from Manhattan for their walnut baklava! It's that good...while I stick to the classics, everything here good. The Turkish coffe I can do without.

I'm in love with Gulluoglu! Best Turkish coffee, deserts, and service from beautiful Turks! I could stay here all day. This cafe makes a trip to Brighton Beach worth it.

Known for their best Turkish desserts. But tonight I was pleasantly surprised with their amazing homemade chicken soup. Yum!

Sweets are pretty good. Regular coffee lacks flavor (too watery). Haven't tried their Turkish coffee yet.

The quality of their food has always been top notch and honestly is my favorite spot for a Turkish meal. Their hummus and basically all their skewers, kababs and grilled meats are simply amazing. Fast forward, I haven't gone to Taci's Beyti for over a year and I just recently went for our anniversary dinner over the weekend. Place still felt the same, so I ordered my hummus, mixed grill and the chicken kebab for the misses. When The entrees arrived, I was a bit disappointed. They seem to have changed what use to come with their main entrees. Gone is the bed of thinly sliced onions under your meats, so is the roasted pepper and also the roasted tomato. Three items I actually enjoyed having with my entree. They also changed the pita under the meats as well but they replaced it with a very sad salad instead, with no dressing or even a vinaigrette at that. Just plain dry leaves with some red onions. They also have two prices now, one for cash and one for credit, the cost has gone up (which I understand) but they've also cut the portions and what use to come with it. Yes the food is still good but after that last trip I am rethinking about ever going back. I am disappointed that either through choice, greed, or whatever they decided to cut back. Time to scout and try some other Turkish restaurants in the boroughs I suppose, and no I am not leaving a one star review, their food quality and taste hasn't changed. I am just very disappointed.

I like the salad bar that has all the offering. The beef kofta was good, but a bit under seasoned as well as the chicken samosa. Beef kofta and lamb over rice tasted a bit healthier by using leaner meat, hence a nicer texture. The chicken tikka was a bit dry and under seasoned as well. I really enjoyed the rice and salad that went along with the meal. The lamb over rice was better tasting than the usually halal cart. I really enjoyed the sauce that was put on the side to go with my meal. I was a bit sad when the beef kofta and chicken tikka didn't come with bread. I will come back for healthier halal option. The gyro meat was soft and tasty, rice was seasoned and fluffy. The pickled veggies were delicious and perfect to cut down on the heaviness of the meal.
