Staff was not friendly, the prices were way to high for what it is compared to retail prices are and they will only care about you if and only if you are interested in purchasing and asking to many questions. Originally, I had a few places around and had gotten absurd turn around times to install a red dot. I had an enjoyable experience at Guns LA. I visited in order to have them take care of a private party transfer. Leo helped us with the transfer. He was very pleasant and efficient. He provided everyone involved (myself the seller, plus my buyer) with the proper paperwork for our records. Before my buyer arrived, I was browsing around and an AR-15 lower receiver caught my interest. So while Leo handled the transfer paperwork with my buyer, Josh answered questions I had regarding the AR-15 lower receiver. Josh was genuinely great to work with! Every employee strong dumbass bro vibes, no mask wearing. Not to mention their line management is shit. Let me save you some money. Want to buy a gun? If you need a physical store, go to guns direct. If you shop online -- intimidating at first but by far the cheapest and simpler than it looks -- use gun broker or grab a gun or a billion sites and then RTBALA as your FFL. I just saved you 40% of what you would pay at Guns LA. AT LEAST. Don't trust yelp reviews, read reddit. This place has a better rep than Burbank Ammo and Guns....but BARELY lol. EDIT - I'm actually gonna give 2 stars cause they ain't nearly as bad as Burbank Ammo and Guns and don't deserve the same review. I want to leave a review addressing some of the negative reviews. For the record, I am unofficially affiliated with the store, however, I have no issue being objective. At the end of the day, do your own research. So far this year I've purchased three guns from GunsLA, all during the pandemic. Seems like a lot of first time buyers, and even repeat ones that have not bought a gun during a crisis like this, neglect to understand that the local prices for guns and online prices are not the same. For example, someone down below is complaining of having to pay $850.00 for a Glock, during a time when firearms are limited. To put in context, I bought my first hand gun (a Glock 17) right after the Sandy Hook shooting, some 8 years ago almost. I paid a premium for the gun on the grounds that firearms were scarce at the time and local California dealers were paying more for the guns to bring them into California. Since then, I have bought and sold guns and have been used to the changing markets. GunsLA has been keeping a steady supply to their customers during this whole pandemic and difficult times. Everyone is starting to realize how important it is to be able to protect themselves. I'm not going to make this a political review but one of facts. California only allows a very limited amount of firearms sold in the state when it comes to handguns. Most of the the handguns are older models because CA makes it difficult for new guns to get on the "approved" roster (there I go using quotes and got political). to put into context, Glock is on Generation (Gen) 5 of their handguns, CA still sells only Generation 3 because of the issues of getting newer, safer, more up to date guns on the roster. Due to this issue, supply for older Gen models is low overall. Now during a Pandemic, Riots and a sudden HUGE increase in demand, the market has dried up. The team at GunsLA is a newer store with seasoned staff, meaning they understand the market and know where to look. However, they also know, that to do business and supply, in a market such as this, they have to pay more. IF you are sitting behind your computer and reading this, and see an Ad for a Glock 17 for $500.00 on gunbroker (or elsewhere), then buy it, pay the CA fees and tax, and bring it into CA. Good luck on finding the gun - I mean that with the utmost sincerity. No one is obligated to shop at one place. There are at least 4 other gun shops in Burbank alone, with probably 10 in the area. Why is it that GunsLA has the stock - because they are paying a premium themselves. Drive up and down Magnolia Blvd., and tell me which shop has (1) guns available, (2) will sell them to you for the same price as out of state. GunsLA is paying more for firearms to be able to supply customers because, GunsLA understands that your ability to protect yourself and fee secure is important. Don't just search Google for "Glock 17" and take the price as is. Remember what state you're in, and when in time you are making the purchase. Do with the above as you please but, remember let's think twice and do some research before accusing a business of price gouging - that's taking seriously. finally, I hope that this Pandemic and current outbreak in violence has taught everyone they need to prepare during times of peace, not unrest. Thank you GunsLA for your straight forward nature and digging in your pockets to be able to supply our needs. I will continue to support this store as my go-to spot. I purchased a gun from a manufacturer and needed a local FFL to accommodate the transfer & registration. I called about 10 shops to see who could help me with the transaction. Guns LA was the only shop that seemed to be happy to help. I visited the store yesterday, everything went as planned, and it was a fantastic experience. Great selection, very nice staff. A lot of shops in the area treat you as if you are bothering them and they are doing you a favor. This was the complete opposite. I felt very welcome and there's no attitude or "tough guy" salesman demeanor, which is typically the way I feel going into other guns shops. I highly recommend Guns LA. I went through Guns LA a few weeks ago to transfer my Glock 19, which I bought online through auction, to an authorized FFL dealer. Guns LA was very professional and got everything squared away very quickly. They took care of the correspondence with the seller and made sure that my firearm arrived safely in a timely manner. They even installed my Ameriglo night sight for me on the spot when I went to go and pick up my Glock. Not something I ever thought we would need to do but today we did. We became gun owners... well, took the steps to become gun owners. After reading the exceptional reviews and seeing that they accept walk-ins, we headed over the Guns LA late Saturday afternoon. As expected due to the current climate, it was busy. The building was secure, entry managed through a Ring door camera. We waited a very short time considering how busy it was and got to speak with Art who showed us a few guns in the style we expressed interest and helped us choose the best options for us.
