Owner of this place is a great guy there was a delay with my stuff he called me explained me and mad it right got all my stuff everything works good did a good job

Okay, where to begin... Ask anyone of my friends, I am extremely OCD with all of my firearms... to an entirely NEXT LEVEL of OCD. The slightest issues will throw me over the edge. So naturally, coming into Worthy Armory to drop off my gun was a bit difficult as I practically do all of my own work on all my guns. I came in to get a new barrel fitted, head-spaced, and mounted to my AR15 upper, along with a gas block, and tube. CJ asked me to come right in, as soon as I called. (Other places wanted me to leave my rifle for 4-8 weeks, for a 1-2 hour job??) He went right to work once I arrived. But then after a few minutes came out and assured me he wanted the job done perfectly, and that it would require staying for one night. I felt comfortable enough with his knowledge and attention to detail to take his advice and leave my gun. The next day, he called me early in the morning to inform me the gun was almost complete. Upon arrival, the gun looked phenomenal! The job was done better than anything I could of accomplished, and I truly felt as if he cared for my gun as if it was his own. Worthy Armory is family owned and operated, and everyone I met there was simply awesome. I cannot wait to go back. I cannot stress how much I would recommend these guys, I am so extremely happy with my experience, and having FINALLY found a reliable gunsmith in the San Fernando area.

Left side - Glock 19 with Ameriglo sights. Right side - Worthless Armory's sorry excuse for a tritium sight.

I don't even know where to start with these guys. Almost every single thing that came out of CJ's mouth was a load of BS and a lie. When I first came in he was bragging how his $150 transfer fee is so cheap because it included DROS and that other FFLs are charging upwards of $300. Absolute BS. I can name multiple FFLs in the area that charge $60 for transfer, making it close to $100 with DROS. He was also telling a guy he could get a Glock 19 for $750 and acted like it was a good price. I feel bad for him if he paid that much. I wanted to get the front sight on my 1911 switched out. I called CJ and he claimed he could overnight the sight and get it installed the next day after (as you can guess this wasn't true). When i got there, CJ claimed he knew someone important that could get the slide milled out for a red dot. I said why not. I waited for about 5 days and no news on the slide milling (unsurprisingly), so I cancelled and asked for only the front sight. I asked for pricing and it took CJ over a week to get back to me. He then gave me a price and a time frame of one week even though he already had the front sight. One week later - no news. At least CJ is consistent in lying. Asked him what's up, no answer. Told him I needed it a few days after, and he said "you might have it back tonight, but you have to let us work." The irony was just too much. I went to pick up the gun today which was over 3.5 WEEKS from when I went dropped my gun off. CJ claimed that it typically takes 5 hours to replace a 1911 front sight. More complete and utter BS lol. Yes, 1911 sights must be fitted and are harder to install. But for a "gunsmith" to claim it takes 5 hours to replace only a front sight is just hilarious. CJ scuffed up my slide when he tried to install it, and the really funny part is that the tritium barely works. I feel like this kid has had this sight laying around for ages, and i even asked him how long he had it for (got it last month he said lol). He told me it was okay though because Trijicon has a lifetime warranty, so apparently it doesn't matter that Trijicon can't take off the sight, replace it, and reinstall it for me to make up for CJ's complete incompetence. And then he tells me I still have to "activate" the tritium. LOL. I've never heard something so retarded in my life. Apparently CJ never took a chemistry class or, more likely, that he thinks he can trick me into thinking that his complete BS sight can be activated with the power of the sun. "It's on every tritium sight package." It's not, tritium isn't "activated, and CJ is a complete loser conman. I couldn't handle this idiot handling or keeping my gun for another second. I'd rather pay for someone else to fix CJ's loser work. And lastly, the real kicker was CJ laughing and mocking me for trying to put the safety on without the hammer pulled back. Real classy guy. Oh, and I won't forget CJ yelling "CLOSE THE DOOR" because I didn't realize I left his door open on the way out. Even his neighbor was astounded by how rude it was. I mean honestly all this is just hilarious at the end of the day. CJ wasted my time for 3 weeks with his BS, scuffed up my $2000 gun slide, put on a sight likely knowing the tritium was not good, lied to me constantly, and then acted like the piece of garbage he is when I went to pick up. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid this place. There are tons of other reputable gunsmiths that won't dick you around, lie to you, and waste your time.

    Replacement looks great!

Moved a few weeks ago and apparently spilled something into my hard case without knowing. A few days later, I open my case prior to heading to the range only to see that the sight on my Springfield XD is caked in rust. Brought it to the guys at Worthy Armory. Not only are they super friendly, but they're extremely knowledgeable and do great custom work from what I've seen. I think it maybe took them an hour to clean/ replace my sights. Definitely coming here for all my smithing needs.

S/o CJ for hooking up my G19, from beginning to end the service was great. The pistol was custom fitted to my hand, with a full stippling job done to it. It was finished on time with no issues. I would definitely recommend his shop.

S/o to my boy Vic for refereeing me this shop. I love how they custom build their products

I try to support small local businesses whenever I can, especially ones in my own neighborhood. In early January I stopped into Addax Tactical while I was out riding my e-bike with my dog. The staff were friendly, they were cool about my dog being there, and they even let me bring my bike inside. My first impression was positive. A little later I went back to order a rifle. I wanted a Henry Big Boy .357 Lever Action Rifle. They didn't have it in stock, and I was told it would take about two to three weeks to arrive because the SHOT Show convention was coming up. While doing the paperwork, I also decided to purchase a Ruger 10/22 so I could complete both purchases with a single background check. I left a deposit of about $1,200 toward roughly $2,000 total for the two rifles. Both rifles are very standard models that most gun stores typically have available or can obtain quickly. I could have easily purchased them elsewhere, but I made a deliberate choice to support a smaller shop in my neighborhood and was willing to wait the extra couple of weeks. Based on the timeline I was given, I expected the rifles to arrive by late January and to have them in my possession by mid-February after the required 10-day waiting period. That didn't happen. After three weeks I called to check on the order. Nothing had arrived yet. I waited another week and called again. Still nothing. The responses were always very casual, with little explanation other than that the rifles had been ordered. Around six weeks into the process, I was told the Ruger had arrived but they hadn't called because they assumed I wanted to pick up both rifles at the same time. I went in immediately and started the paperwork to take possession of the Ruger. During that visit I learned something that had never been mentioned before: the Henry rifle had not actually shipped yet, and the shop generally places firearm orders in batches rather than ordering individual rifles. This was the first time I had heard that, even though the original estimate had been two to three weeks. At that point I agreed to upgrade to the octagonal-barrel version of the Henry since I had always wanted that model anyway, and I was told the change would not affect the delivery timeline. After the 10-day waiting period I picked up the Ruger and again asked about the Henry. The answer was still that it had not arrived yet. By this point we were about eight weeks into the process, with no clear timeline. About a week later I called again and received the same answer. At that point I decided to cancel the Henry order and request a refund. I was told the refund would come from accounting and that I should expect a check in two to three weeks. After two weeks I called again and was told it could take up to 30 days. I eventually went to the shop in person to check on the refund. This time I was told I could not bring my bike or dog inside, even though I had been there several times before with both and it had never been an issue. Eventually I received a call saying the refund check had arrived. For the sake of transparency, I'm writing this from memory without the receipts directly in front of me, so the dollar amounts may be off by a few dollars either way, but the numbers below are very close to what was paid and refunded. When I picked up the check, the amount returned was about $370 out of the roughly $1,200 deposit I had paid. That means that after roughly 12 weeks, the final outcome of this transaction is that I effectively ended up with a $830 Ruger 10/22 -- a rifle that typically sells for a few hundred dollars at most gun shops. Even assuming some type of restocking fee, it's difficult to understand how that result makes sense, particularly for a rifle that, according to the shop, had not even shipped yet when I cancelled the order. I went into this purchase specifically because I wanted to support a small neighborhood business like Addax Tactical and was willing to wait longer than usual to do so. Unfortunately, after the delays, the lack of clear communication about how orders were handled, and the final refund outcome, the entire experience ended up being extremely frustrating. If you're considering ordering a firearm here, my advice would simply be to make sure you clearly understand the ordering process, timeline expectations, and refund policies before leaving a deposit. Posting this simply to document my experience so other customers know what to expect when placing a special order here.

During the online purchase process, Sako suggested a few FFL's, and Guns LA was one of them. I said yep, although I had never been here, and away we go. A few weeks later, I received an email notice that the rifle had arrived at Guns LA, and I drove over to go through the transfer drill. They buzzed me right in, I was greeted by a couple of the guys, and they handled everything right away. Typical easy California transfer: pages of paperwork, produce CDL, provide DNA sample, raise your right hand and swear you are not a communist or a Klingon, take a polygraph...the usual drill. Because they have a highly Yelp rated gunsmith, I handed them the Leopold scope and mounting rings I had purchased and asked them to mount it (yeah...as if I could have mounted it). No problemo. Ten long days later, I returned (and yes, the DROS paperwork stamps the exact minute from the ten days you started the process and you are damn RIGHT I was there at the exact minute to accept my rifle). They gave me a break on the price of mounting the scope since I did the transfer paperwork there, which was generous and unexpected. Everything was perfect. Although I live in Pasadena, and there are closer gun shops, I would absolutely go to these guys again. Thumbs up and thank you!

I had an excellent experience at Guns LA in Burbank and can't recommend them enough…read more About a year ago, I purchased a handgun from another dealer that has since permanently closed. Recently, I noticed some parts were coming loose and was concerned about safety. I reached out to a few shops, and while the first place was willing to help, I felt like they were more focused on trying to sell me something rather than genuinely helping with my issue. Thankfully, I found Guns LA right around the corner. After seeing their great reviews on Yelp and Google, I decided to stop by and I'm so glad I did. Deon helped me from the start and was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He never made me feel uncomfortable and took the time to explain everything clearly. Not only did he inspect and fix my firearm, but he also spent time teaching me how to properly use my Holosun sight and gave me helpful tips to improve my shooting. He even shared a flyer for private training lessons, which I really appreciated. Best of all, there was zero pressure to buy anything. He genuinely cared about helping me, not making a sale. When I returned to pick up my handgun, Deon and Mike explained that the previous dealer had actually left out some important parts, something they couldn't believe. Luckily, Guns LA has a certified gunsmith on staff (apparently one of the only ones within a 20-mile radius), and they took great care of everything. I'm extremely grateful to have found this place. They've earned my trust and my business. I'll definitely be coming back for future purchases, and they're now the only shop I'll trust with my handguns and AR-15. Highly recommend Guns LA if you're looking for honest, professional, and knowledgeable service! Big thank you to Deon
