We shared the highlight film with many others, but saved the feature film for select family and friends, as it was longer. The film was everything we could've asked for, and more. The day of photographer didn't listen to our requests. We asked for dramatic and artistic shots, but the photographer insisted on cheesy shots. The videographer missed so many moments of the wedding day, and was combative and defensive when asked about it. The video was formulaic, cheesy, and lacked any bit of artistry. It was exactly what we asked them not to do. When we brought this to their attention, they tried to BLACKMAIL us by saying they'd do a few extra "complimentary edits as a courtesy" in exchange for signing a document saying we wouldn't write bad reviews. I wonder how many other clients they tried to blackmail. They charged me to ship my printed canvas to their studio for pickup. I'm surprised they wouldn't cover an $8 service charge on a package that cost thousands of dollars. They also wanted to up charge to have a title on my wedding albums. It's so tacky and off putting. We were treated like a problem to deal with, and they acted like they were doing us favors all while speaking in such a condescending tone.They're difficult, rude, obnoxious, and the product is nothing special.

I made a whole list and spent a few days talking to him about my expectations as the bride of what photos I wanted. the day of the wedding, he had people who we had never discussed would be there taking our photos and I had never even spoken with these people about what I wanted as the bride so everything I had noted was pretty much disregarded. I didn't appreciate that Zak did a bait and switch with who would be taking my wedding photos. In all, the photos turned out alright. my main issue is with the video. we waited almost three months for our wedding video, so I was expecting a really great video. the video was 1.5 hours long and was completely unedited. the preview videos were amazing, but when the true video came around it was just horrible. Zak said he hadn't even watched the whole video to see what had happened and that he hired a third party to do the editing. whoever did the video just did not even put in effort to making sure our wedding video was taken care of. it is now almost March and my wedding was last August and we still don't have a wedding video from Zak. we can hardly even contact him for any update on the video or when we should expect it. If someone recommends him to you, I would be wary that he may not respond to you often and may not provide the best product. It's very upsetting that we were recommended to him but he just has not delivered.

We happened upon Ben in the Fearless photography site, and he is super friendly, energetic, reasonably priced, and has a whole team, so we didn't have to worry about 'what-ifs'. Ben is the only photographer who offered a complimentary engagement session. Day-of, Ben and his second shooter Anthony worked incredibly well with our videographer (James Liu, whom he works with often and is exceptional) and never felt invasive. Our stunning photos (even better than we could imagine!) were revealed over a live 2 hour session - that felt a little unnecessary (I would have preferred the comfort of selecting my complimentary album on my own time with the pressure of deciding live or upgrades), but the printed album will be kept for a lifetime. My only other flag was that Ben didn't post sneak peeks of our wedding on social media, so while he mailed us a dozen polaroids, we had to wait until 2 months to see digital photos. Regardless, I would absolutely recommend Ben - we are obsessed with our photos!
