They serve delicious South Indian food and offer a large menu. The service was polite and efficient. The place is clean and well adorned in a no frills fashion. The food is always fresh and tasty., The service is excellent and staff are friendly, sometimes overwhelmed but they do their best. I have been eating at Guru Lukshmi for years and food quality hasn't changed. Dosa options did go down after COVID but they still have their popular options still available. They have a whole section for Jain/ no onion/garlic folks. Hygiene could be bit better- staff need to reminded not to use their dirty table clothes for floors or clean the cloth before swiping on other tables. Water cups, utensils, plates need to be cleaned well prior to providing customers! read more

Guru Lakshmi was a local small Indian buffet and from the get go you can tell they're cutting the corners. Food nothing special, service non existent. Restaurant looked like it needed a good scrub, so I'm concerned what the kitchen may have looked likeFor this reason I only picked minimum of their offerings. Not returning ( they close the Dusk location anyway). Too bad when a business tries to make money instead of focusing on the customer and the quality of the product they put out. read more

I was wanting to come to this place for a long time, one very important piece of advice you have to reserve before coming here or else your in deep trouble, luckily we just dropped in and they gave us a seat the restraint was fully packed, we ordered the idily and their most popular dosa, and another advice come here on an empty stomach because the portion size is huge, we ordered the Mysoore Bhajji aloo masala dosa served with coconut chutney and sambar the problem was I hate pho a couple hours before so I didn't enjoy it as much but it was still pretty damn delicious, I'm not a big fan of vegetarian food but this place knows what they're doing, the dosa was crispy the potato masks was perfectly spiced amazing flavour not too spicy, really good service they only have 45 min seating because they have so much people waiting outside the door, it is far if you don't live near Mississauga but I think it's worth the trip lots of good food here, and lots of different variety of dosas to try from, if you have one pl as to try in Toronto make the effort to come here you won't be disappointed read more

I love south Indian food and this is the most authentic place to have Dosa or idli. I ordered rava onion masala dosa , masala odli , mini idli and upma . All the items were on point and delicious. The only thing is that there is waiting time when you are going on a weekend . So plan ahead and reserve your place there. Ambience is really good and overall the experience is amazing as well . The one star less is because of the huge waiting time we had to experience but totally worth it as well. read more

What's the hyper all about??Just regular tasting dosas to me. So obviously I made a reservation to eat there on a weeknight since this place is always fully packed. All went smooth with the reservation got seated on time and order was taken quick. The food came out fairly fast and tasted really like any other dosa place there wasn't anything exceptional amazing about the taste and flavor.Generally dosas are made fresh to order and the filling and chutnies were pretty standard. The only thing special about this place is their long list of different dosas.For me I like to stick with the basics.Rava and Mysore are my favs. Once the food was out the server obviously forgot about us since this place is fully packed even on the weeknight. The tables are so closely placed that there is no concept of privacy you can actually hear the conversation going on at the tables right and left of you.I actually felt like gobbling down all my food and leaving the place ASAP. No ambience what so ever. There is plenty of parking outside and the pricing is fair. read more

This place is worth the hype. Probably 10 people recommended me this place so I was worried of over expecting. I tried masala dosa, bhaji dosa and mix veg uttapam. The uttapam was p good but the veggies were not well done. Maybe its their style but it's just fine. Their bhaji dosa, however, is awesome. Their sambhar was also good and their service was decent. They need to work on keeping the place clean and tidy tho. I'd go again for bhaji dosa. read more

So extremely disappointed today. Our family has loved and supported this restaurant since they opened in Credit Mills. They hands down have always had the best dosa around. I looked for places open on Christmas Day for my family of 4 to have dinner since Covid restrictions made us cancel larger family plans. We wanted to be safe but have a nice dinner. When we arrived there were several others with the same reservation time as us they took one party at a time, scanned our vaccine certificates and seated us. There were a lot of people but several tables around us were empty. There were no dividers between tables and the booths did not have acrylic dividers so we were very close to the folks beside us. We ordered and ate. We were contemplating dessert when all of the tables around us were filled to max capacity and seated very close to us. I looked around and every table was occupied. I asked if they were supposed to be operating at 50% capacity. The 2 servers got nervous and then 2 men came to talk to us. One said there was a power outage in the plaza (what the heck does that have to do with it?!). Another said their booking system allowed guests to book to full capacity and people were angry and pushed their way in?!?! Are you freaking kidding?! I did not give up my Christmas with my family to be squished in with a bunch of strangers ESPECIALLY DURING THE THREAT OF COVID! We were so angry so we left but my son had already paid. I do not appreciate a restaurant putting the health of my family in danger and i will not eat here again. read more

This place is HOT. They've even extended it and have seperate doors for entrance, exit and take out because there is so much traffic in this place. No matter what time of day you plan on coming, I highly recommend making reservations. It seems that this place is always packed full of people and with good reason. They specialize in dosas which you can customize or order the ones with predetermined flavours. The prices range from $10-$15 which is very affordable. Once you are seated, after ordering your food it usually arrives in under 10 minutes. I cannot emphasize enough how important reservations are since people (myself included) are willing to wait 1+ hrs for a table. Would like to try the take out next time to see how well the dosa sits. read more
