OH MY GOD .. This is going to be huge review i think but what can i say except they transported me to my state of Gujarat in India instantly. I came there from Boston and obviously we don't have anything like this at all let alone anything that resembles it . We were 6 people and didnt had to wait long considering it was sat afternoon even though the place was packed. instantly i saw the big Thali and waiters all running around and the hand signalers signaling for different wait staff serving diff items to come to that particular table to to serve them XYZ , Just like back home . The service started instantly and it did not let off. They fed us , fed us quickly and were not delaying in getting us anything we wanted (unlike some rest take time between serving and filling up buffet so people get tired and eat less and leave). This guys were getting everything fresh , hot and quickly on our plates. The curries amazing , the two daals and two kadhis were great and they also were trying out a 3rd kadhi which was mango kadhi which i had really liked. They had Aam Raas even though canned and ready, it was much better canned and ready one than what we get here in US. Dahi vada was good as well along with papads and other apps The breads included Chapati , Puri and thepla all served fresh and hot. Also there were some pickles on the table (bottles ones) but none the less the idea of them giving you that as well is great addition to the meal. UNLIMITED CHAAS (buttermilk) was itself worth the $40 bucks lol. It is lifeline for this kind of Thali places and giving that unlimited means the owner is really there to feed you with all the love . I would say the trip from Boston was just worth it coming to eat here and food is absolutely delicious and people complaining about taste dont know how good they have got it there in Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton etc as we know how bad we got it here... so enjoy and stop complaining about small things or one item that was not upto the par. this is amazing place. if you are travelling and staying in the area is a must visit. The Paan at the end was also fantastic.

Came here for the on a Wednesday night after work for dinner with two friends. We arrived at 6pm which is their opening time. Come early at opening hours, or expect to line up in a long queue! Inside the large dining room, there were already a few tables seated. This veg Indian Thali restaurant has franchises around the world and it's the first one in Canada. My first visit here recently here left us all very impressed! The table service was great. The Thali is brought to you and the food is bottomless. Trying a bit of everything is so fun and your tastebuds ignite with a range of flavours and textures! Not all just one note or spicy. Highly recommend!

We went here on a weekend for lunch and it was crowded. We thought the food must be good considering the tik tok reviews and the yelp reviews. The food was really bland and not at all worth eating. Everything that they served was cold, tasteless and unappetising. The dessert like jalebi was served cold. The options were poor too when it came to rotis It's genuinely hurts when you expect so much and pay $67 for 2 people and end up feeling disappointed. I would seriously not recommend this place to anyone.

I came here on Dec 2, 2023 with my friend. The wait was not bad. The food was decent. no complaints. When we were dining, some server had a big chaas/buttermilk box and then it fell on floor. It fell on top all my winter jackets, winter boots and on me. The saving people came and cleaned it up floors and even said 4 times sorry. No complaints on them as well. It happens. However, The management there knew all this and gave me 10% discount from bill seriously ..? to dry clean my jacket and clean my shoes will take more than this. I am so not happy like this. You did not could refund my meal. do you think I /we could peacefully after this? Very VERY BAD MANAGEMENT !

Finally Maharaja Bhog comes to Mississauga! An extremely popular pure veg thali restaurant, Maharaja Bhog serves Gujarati/Rajasthani dishes. Spacious and well-decorated, the place feels welcoming. Service is quick and friendly. PS: their buttermilk is a must must have!

Thali

Amazing food, the waiters were so nice and kept coming around with food for thali. Definitely go early on the weekend because this place gets busy.

Looking forward to the opening of the new Maharaja Bhog Restaurant in Mississauga located just south of Hwy 401 at Hwy 10 (Hurontario St). This large venue is billed as a offering premium vegetarian Indian Thali cuisine. Hopefully, it won't be much longer!

Food - we ordered veg hakka noodles , gobi Manchurian and chat papri . All the food items were really delicious and freshly made . I particularly loved the chat papri . Although i felt that if there would have been more whisked curd , it would have been more delicious. The noodles and Manchurian were appropriate and cooked nicely with fresh ingredients. The packaging was good and all the safety precautions were taken care of . Highly recommend to everyone.

It was with this in mind that I decided on the chicken fried rice, with a side of chili chicken. The addition of plenty of green onions perfumed the rice and provided an extra bit of texture with the crunch. I did feel it could have done with an additional sprinkling or two of salt. I generally do not like bell peppers, but the addition of them in the chili chicken dish was not entirely off putting as they were not raw. The dish came with a nicely seasoned and spicy sauce, which was a good accompaniment to the fried rice. The gulab jamun (one piece per order) is bigger compared to what you'd normally expect when ordering this dessert at an Indian restaurant. Loved the addition of the crushed pistachios, which not only added a great contrast in texture, but also imparted its flavor into the syrup. Great, sweet ending to the meal.

The interior is beautiful and spacious, which is great for groups of all sizes. As someone who considers Indian food once of their favorite cuisines, coming here is like being a kid im a candy shop. All the curries have amazing flavor and just the right amount of spices, they make fresh naan & dosas to order, endless options of yogurts, chutneys, garnishes, fresh fruit/veg, and desserts. My favorite curries were the Kadai Paneer, Butter Butter Chicken, Malai Soya Chaap, and Palak Paneer. I've had their biryanis in the past as well and I do remember them being amazing just a little on the spicier side. When I go to buffets like this I typically focus on the proteins and freshly made breads. They have a large (if not the same quantity as the meat ones) variety for vegetarians as well. I like that some of the desserts they put up here are rotational and different from what you'd usually find at an a la carte or other indian buffets, like sweet white pumpkin and rose flavored rice pudding. They still have classics like gajar ka halwa, gulab jamun, and mango custard but it's always fun to try new stuff. I find that price is standard, if not slightly cheaper than other buffet formats like sushi, kbbq, hotpot, etc. and as someone who frequently enjoys eating solo I'd probably stick to coming around weekday lunchtime for a lower price. Service was deceng, I felt that my table was regularly kept clean but it took a while for me to get a water refill and more napkins. Overall I recommend Tandoori Flame, it's definitely a unique experience with what they offer & this is going to be one of my top spots for when I'm feeling a treat :)

The servers really try to push you to order/purchase drinks upon arrival. The still water on the table is also an additional charge, so don't fall for the bait. We had to request "tap water" specifically multiple times to avoid getting charged for the still water. The buffet itself was good. There was a decent variety and they kept replenishing dishes rather quickly. I enjoyed the made-to-order roti station and the garlic naan in particular. It was fun to try the different curries. Keep in mind the proteins are mostly chicken, with some goat and vegetarian (chickpea, paneer) options. There's no beef or pork. The mains are good, but rather heavy so I had a difficult time eating a lot. The entrees were better than the desserts. Overall, very decent Indian food. It's more worth it if you value being able to sample different dishes/flavours. The servers cleared our plates quickly, but were very slow to fill up our glasses with tap water. While paying the bill, I didn't appreciate how pushy our server was about leaving a five-star review. It made me feel uncomfortable. So here I am leaving my honest experience/review.

There were no coat hooks or coat check....surprising for such a beautiful and upscale place. The coats crowded our seats. They were kind enough to accommodate my need for water with meals by leaving a kettle with water for me. They do not leave jugs but our server, Snow, replenished the water for others regularly.. she was friendly, helpful and funny. Since I need vegan and gluten free the only items I could have were the salad without feta, yellow dal without ghee and plain rice. The fam loved the Afghan chicken tikka and paneer item they ordered. My dal was made without ghee as requested but was on the spicy side. The fam shared the chocolate cake and rabri desserts but zero vegan/gluten free dessert items. The decor is lovely and everyone was very professional. The meal was very expensive....well over $400 for 1 alcohol drink, 2 mocktails, 3 apps, 3 mains with 2 rice, 2naan and 1 parantha and 2 desserts. Hopefully you get Snow as your server as she was a delight. There was no DJs or live entertainment the night we went but they do have it on certain nights. It got very busy while we were there with folks of all ages. You can bring your own cake but they charge $5pp to serve it.

I absolutely love this place. Normally, a place that has a massive menu is a bit concerning to me…read moreas it often leads to not really excelling at anything, but that is not the case here in my experience. The reason behind the large menu is related to the aim of the restaurant, which is to showcase the various regional cuisines of India. As a result, don't expect the straightforward menu of: apps, entrees, deserts, etc... rather the menu is divided by cuisine. Aside from honouring tradition, they do offer a couple 'new' takes on some items. If you comb through a few reviews, and certainly the pics, you'll notice a must-order items is the roasted eggplant with pomegranate. It really is like nothing else I've had before and unforgettable in both taste and texture. My group also went with a famous lamb dish as well. I don't remember the name offhand, but it is incredibly soft, well seasoned and nicely spiced dish. We also went with orders of naan, veggie dishes and meat skewers. It's beautifully decorated inside and also has the advantage of being located in a heritage building in what was formerly an estate home nearly 150 years old.
