The line on weekends is LONG AF and although they don't clean the inside, I like this location much better than the Bedminster location. The staff here is soooooo nice. I give three stars because every time I come here to use my membership (which I was told I could use at both), the machine malfunctions and I end up waiting five or more additional minutes. Additionally, he actual car wash, itself, doesn't get everything off near the tires/wheel Wells. But again, I like the staff here and I like supporting them. read more

The basic wash is more of a rinse than a wash. And as with any rinse, you're left with a little less dirt, but still dirty. The woman at the front of the wash used to hose down the car first, but doesn't anymore. I said I would not have come if I knew and she said she never hosed down the cars. Why lie? The man at the end of the wash will wipe your car down, but your windows will be dirtier than before your "rinse". I opted not to have the car wiped down and ended up with spotted windows that were still dirty but not as bad as being wiped with a dirty towel. The back of the car doesn't get washed either. If you spend more money for the next package, the woman will hose down the car, but you pay as much as the other car wash in the area that has superior brushes and a full staff that are willing to work. The staff at the car wash in Bedminster is much more particular. The car is hosed down and properly cleaned. The staff pays attention to drying the car and uses an air hose for hard to reach areas. The staff uses a spray and separate microfiber cloths to clean windows. Clearly, Gus and Bucky know better, but continue to offer a sub-standard service in Somerville. Evidently, Somerville customers aren't that important. I left the car wash wondering why should I give my business to either location? How unfortunate! read more

I took my Tesla Model X today for a car wash at your Bedminster location and had an inferior experience. I have been your customer for the past 4 years and signed up for the Yearly Unlimited Bucky wash each year. To begin with, your guys did not even open the trunk of my car to vacuum, which I ignored, and I felt your guys must be in a rush. Then my car wash was Bucky, but the soap was not coming out of the pipe, so I showed this to your person. He, in turn, discussed it with a manager who is a bit short in height. I have always seen him there. He tells me that I have a regular wash, not Bucky's. Only when I insisted did he send someone to get the picture of my car tag. Upon scanning, he said I was signed up for Bucky's wash, but their machine must be spoilt. He did not want to admit that one of his team members selected the wrong wash for my car, as I could see all the vehicles behind my car, and the soap dispenser was working. When the car was cleaned and they asked me to be pick up, I showed them several marks on the door that were there. The guy tried to clean it, but the marks did not go away, so I decided to get the vehicle rewashed since I had signed up for UNLIMITED. The person scanning the TAG at the beginning was unhappy and said that these marks would not go and was upset if I wanted to get it rewashed; why did I let the people manually clean them? I had to explain to him that without them cleaning, how would I know the marks were there? When the car came out of the system, my car was not attended to, was parked, and left. When I showed this to that manager, he said it was cleaned in the order it came, so I showed him the car after my car was attended to, to which he said that it still needed to be completed. I should wait.....that was very partial of him. For the first time, I noticed your manager was unfair and lying. I would never sign up again at your place and would not recommend your place to anyone. You might be the only one in that area, but I will put my reviews on every sight. If you are an honest owner, I would like you to look into this so that such injustice is not done to anyone else. By the way, the marks had gone after the second wash. Your manager suggested that since my car was wrapped, I would not use any soap on it, but why am I your Bucky wash member, and how do I get rid of stains? My fiancé and I have both gotten several car washes here and have been pleased every time. Yesterday the guy in the beginning was nice enough to scrape the tree sap off my windshield prior to entering the car wash since the pre wash didn't take it off. The bird poo that was all over the passenger door was completely gone afterward as well. The tire shine is always a nice touch. For $20, you get a nice clean car with shiny tires. We will both continue to come here. read more

When I first started going to Gus & Bucky's in Somerville I was very pleased with the service. A gentleman greeted me and proceeded to wash both sides of my vehicle with a power wash to get the grit from the wheels and sides. this has been the norm for the last year and half. Then on my last 4 visits, the gentleman has not been there, a woman is now at the entrance. She barely greeted me and then did nothing to the sides or wheel wells of the car, all she did was set the machine on and away I went into the wash. I have the $29.95 (i think it is that price) monthly charge on my CC, so they only need to scan my code on the windshield. The last time I went there was a bit of a line, and I noticed everyone that had paid cash or CC that day had gotten both sides power washed. I have been very disappointed at the service..I hope the other gentleman returns soon or I may cancel my monthly and go elsewhere! read more

For less than $40 a month, you can wash your car EVERYDAY. It's a deal that cannot be beat. I drive a black vehicle, and it's a constant battle against pollen and salt. This is the answer. The equipment is brand new and service is quick. Toyota paint is notoriously soft, and this car wash hasn't left a scratch. The hot wax at the end leaves my truck looking wet when it leaves. It's that shiny. I couldn't be happier with the service at this location and will keep my "all you can wash" membership year round to fight pollen in the spring and summer and road salt in the winter. read more

Good value if you stay with the silver package. This is an express wash, the higher packages start getting expensive and comparable to full service washes. The wash does an ok job, no noticeable swirls on a solid black car. The drying isn't the best, so you may end up with some water spots. Not a perfect wash, but good for those quick ones to get salt/mud off the car. read more

This is usually my go to car wash. They do a decent job and prices are reasonable. I wanted to get a quick wash before work since my car is absolutely covered in salt. I'm sitting here in my car at 8:10AM. Hours on the building, website, and Yelp say they open at 8AM. Tried calling but nobody picked up. Tried honking. Nothing. Lights are on inside. There's an orange pick up in front of me, but the windows are tinted so I have no idea if there's anyone inside. Update - The owner honored his comment on here and provided me with a free wash, which was a nice gesture. (Please ask the repair man to place some kind of sign next time!) read more

I have the $20/month unlimited and it's a great value. I work in a building complex down 22 so I hit the car wash 2-3x a week on my way to or from work. My only complaint is their hours state 8-5 Monday through Saturday and they rarely open on time. I'm typically there right when they open, to get it out of the way, and have to wait until at least 8:15 to get a wash. I've met the owner Tim before and he's a hell of a nice guy. THIS WAS THE WORST CAR WASH I'VE EVER BEEN TO! Not only did they bend my license plate, but they broke part of the plate frame, ripped off the rear towhook cover... It wasn't even clean! There was soap everywhere and they did a terrible job drying so there was water spots all over as well. I want my money back! read more

I signed up for the $29.95 plan a month ago and I go about 1-2 times per week. I've determined it's costing me about $4-5 per wash, which if you own a black car, it's completely worth it to keep it shiny and not covered in a thin layer of dust and dirt. I usually take it during my lunch break and i'm in and out in under 5 minutes including a hand-dry at the end. I have added the hot-wax al a carte a few times in addition to my regular wash (and paid the difference) and it really does add quite a nice shine. I only wish they opened earlier and/or stayed open later as I work 8AM to 6PM which leaves only my lunch break and the weekends to get there. read more

Went to get a basic car wash here for the first time and I didn't know that the undercarriage is not included (I should have looked more carefully). Since my main goal was to wash the salt off the undercarriage I contacted the business to see if I could go back to get that part of the car washed. Timothy wrote back very promptly and told me that I could go back and get that part washed with no extra cost! Took my truck through the Express wash. My antenna is NOT retractable. Their full disclosure sign states not responsible for power or retractable if damage occurs. I speak to the attendant and tells me my responsibility. Asked for the owners number and attendant tells me he won't do it anything. He was right. I called and introduced myself and the owner hangs up on me. Text him my issue and no reply. Could only imagine if the issue would have been more expensive to my truck. I won't revisit. read more

I had the top tier wash and it only included the wash of the outside of the car and two tokens to vacuum my car myself. The windows nor the trim of the car were wiped down even though the car in front of me had theirs wiped. The outside of the car was clean, but for the top package I feel the inside of the car, at least the windows should be cleaned. read more

Terrible. I want two things out of a car wash -- my interior vacuumed and my interior windows cleaned. I got neither. Interior cleaning is just not an option. Express. I get it. My mistake. But at what they charge for just exterior, you are better off going down the street for full service at the same price. "Free use of vacuum" with the top price package. Wouldn't you know the vacuum required $1.25 in quarters. Oh and that expensive exterior wash? My Windows have never been more streaky. One star for existing. First time and last time spending my money at this establishment. I had my car washed on Monday, March 20th, and the attendants did a rush job cleaning my car. I had to asked them to clean my tires which was part of the service and the attendant I spoke to wasn't too thrilled that I asked. My car mats weren't placed back correctly. My car still had soap residual when I left the facility. No one in management was on site that I can speak with. I was considering their monthly package but after my first experience, I would NEVER go back. read more

After writing my last review, the owner reached out to let me know one of the blowers was broken, leaving my car with many water spots after the wash. I have since went back and had a much better experience with a drier car than last time. The towel attendant was much better about catching the drips. Still had some dripping from the usual places (mirrors, trunk) but much better. Five stars could be earned if they used pressurized air on the wet trouble spots to get all of the water out. read more
