Where do I begin, usually food is ok service is always eh. Well this morning we got breakfast and a chicken strip kids meal. Been here one other time. At that time the food was pretty good and the service was alright. Went today 3/2/19 through the drive thru. Ordered a kids meal for my daughter and the order taker says, "oh do you want a kids meal." Well duh. That's what we said. We went on to and asked what comes inside of your breakfast burritos. They told us and we ordered a Trio Burrito. The she asks if we want anything else and we ordered a small Diet Coke. We get to the window and pay. They hand us a bag and we ask is that it. They say yes that's it. We leave jump on the freeway and I give my wife her BLT and my daughter her kids meal. No burrito. So we turn around 3 miles down the freeway and go back the 3 miles and get back into the drive through. We tell them the situation. They ask for the receipt we hand them a crumpled receipt because we figure everything is on there. They hand it back we look at it and the burrito is not on there. Don't let the stars fool you about the actual good. The food is amazing! I had the Belgian waffle with strawberries and it was phenomenal. They get two stars because the girl with the bright red lipstick that took my order and I'm sorry to say she is a person that should probably not be allowed near sharp objects. I love these guys and thier breakfast items. I used to go here evey morning and get a breakfast sandwhich and a coffee. The coffee is cheap, not cost but quaility. It always tasted like a dirty coffee filter. I started asking if they had cream and if they can put some in for me. Despite my DAILY request, Almost everytime they would still hand me the creamer instead to put in myself. I finally said... Im in the car and this is hard, can you please do it. After 2 months of asking they finally started doing it. It was great but the coffee still tasted like crap. I was having to get my sandwhich here and go somewhere else for my coffee. After a bit I noticed they had whipped cream so I asked "Can I get a coffee with vanilla creamer and whip cream?".. They put in on shakes.. why not? They were so perplexed.. and would come out side the window with the can, spray it on the coffee..and hand it to me without a lid... ummm?? I then started to notice that when they put cream on top ... they wouldnt put it in the coffee as well.... It was one or the other.. I was so frustrated I couldnt understand why this was SOOOO hard... I mean I was coming EVERY DAY, M-F , They even started knowing my voice through the speaker!! This, the inability to put cream in and on top of a coffee with a lid, coupled with the fact that the price was different everytime someone different was working the window.. Came in every morning for the breakfast plate since i work across from them. My bf loved it came with 1half slice of ham, eggs, hashbrowns, sausage. When they 1st opened up it was great,but after a couple times the hash browns were soggy. I always got the tuna sandwich. (Taste lil like water down tuna) The 2nd week we came We asked if they can add more eggs because we didn't want the hash brown. The cashier said it was fine cuz it made sense. We paid the same price $18.97 After the manager(tall white guy ,old about in his 50s) found out. He was practically yelling at her saying if they dont want it they dont get anything. she was just doing what sounded right. He then told the cook put two eggs only no more. Didn't make any sense i paid regular price to have no hash Browns but add maybe two more eggs. Too annoyed to argue with him. So we just stopped going. Today I was craving a burger so I stopped here on the way home from work. There was a line, which is understandable. I can deal with a line, but if the line is long I expect it's because my food is going to be fresh. My burger was cold, the only thing that was warm were my fries. Been going there with the family for about 6 weeks on Saturday mornings. Last time they forgot some of the add on items we had ordered and had to aruge with the server that we had indeed ordered the extra bacon. This week, however, was a whole new experience in BAD, My eight year old ordered the waffle alone with just bacon, no eggs. We get the waffle and there is no bacon. Had the same stupid arguement about the bacon with the server. It got worse... My daughter kept telling me the waffle tasted funny, I thought maybe it was the cinnamon. I taste it and I can tell that the batter has gone bad and it is sour. I take it up to the counter. I tell the guy standing there that there is something wrong with the batter. He says something like "oh you don't like butter?" I keep saying BATTER, He keeps pointing to the big bucket of whipped margarine. After about five times trying to explain that I mean batter, the cook shows up and I tell him I think the batter has turned and he should taste it and he's just telling me ok ok we'll make you another one. So about 15 minutes later the butter guy shows up with a new waffle with the butter on the side saying "see I put it on the side". I said "it wasn't about the butter" and he just walked away like I was the idiot. Needless to say, I am really disappointed. We really wanted to find a diner kind of restaurant here in Perris that was not crowded all the time, but now I'm afraid to ever eat there again because I think the quality control has failed. I also want to mention that I ordered biscuts and gravy and the 'biscuts' were hamburger buns that had been smashed flat on the flat top. Really gross. I'm now sitting here wondering if I or my daughter will get sick from eating the bad waffle... The reason I am giving 1 star is because of the service I recieved today, the food is great no complaints there. The service I recieved today was horrible. Drive thru cashier gave us the wrong order. Then takes it back and says what's your order again. Ok mistakes happen, I get it no problem. We then repeated our order. Cashier went inside as I'm watching through the window the cashier looking very confused requests help from another. She then opens the window and asks AGAIN what was our order. Omg by this time I'm getting frustrated. So we give our order again. Then they barley start to make it after the 3rd time. So naturally I am getting upset and continuing to wait. 15 more min pass she comes with our burritos and hands them to us. I then requested my receipt, because they obviously had no idea what my order was so this is where it became a huge problem. She couldn't find my receipt. So I said ok can you just duplicate it so I can see what I paid for and we go on our way. Nope!! So instead of calming me down because at this point I'm getting angry. I received rolling of the eyes.. and they slam the window on me as if it were MY fault made me wait another 10 min. My goodness!! I didn't get the order wrong YOU DID. I didn't give attitude UNTIL you did!! I talked to the manger and he said he'll take care of the associate , which I know isn't true because they are all family. I then asked for my money back and I left. Never again!! I'm only writing this not that I expect anything done, but just to vent and be heard, Because nothing will get done! Well what can I say, before gus came to this perris location it was Nicks Super Burger. Great food reasonable prices.it burnt to the ground. Forward a few yrs Gus came along. Never tried my first experience was drive through ordered 2 tuna melts for my drive to mtns. They screwed that up with 2 Jr burgers. I was a bit miffed Since was was well on my trip. I've been here a few times since mostly for the coffee and AC in summer. I'm sorry but their cooks suck. I Just ordered a simple 3 scram egg w/ cheese and tavern ham no toast no sides. Boy sure came out quick. So quick in fact ham was cold not by sitting but hardly warming it and no cheese on eggs. Sent it back cook drizzled cold cheese on my cold eggs. This is not my first experience with really shitty food here. And forget sbout the overly priced shitty food. I have had a good tuna salad here and coffee is great.
