They put in a taser type device to bock the run/start/stop device we all prefer to block. Did a nice and quick job. They mentioned the Amazon model I provided may not work 100% of the time and if i was unhappy with it come back and they'll get the better unit. Easily one of the worst experiences with a repair shop (garage) in the state of Florida. Purchased a Jeep through an auction and had some issues with the Jeep shutting off and not starting. Towed it to this location and after several days they sent me an estimate for $1050 to fix the evident problems (injectors and ignition coil). I thought the estimate was reasonable even though I could of purchased the parts through RockAuto at less than half the price. A week later they call me to notify that the repair was done (parts replaced) and problem still persisted. Now they did a new evaluation and sent a new estimate for an additional $2000 for a new Engine computer and cleaning the wiring (shockingly had mud and sand on an off-road vehicle) and requested approval. Having studied mechanical engineering and working with diesel engines for the past 15 years I knew it was time to cut my losses with this shop cause it was quite obvious they were on a fishing trip to find the problem and didn't know how to fix the problem without milking me out of another $3-4k. Funny part was secretary sending me a video of the AAA tow truck picking up the Jeep from there shop still unfixed, as a badge of honor. Summarizing, if you take them a Jeep to mount accessories or for a new pair of rims they may do a good job, but DO NOT take them a Jeep that actually needs to be diagnosed with engine problems. Run. Don't come close unless if you want to pay 7k of "quality" work to be scammed. Business owner and her wife are very rude and confrontational about going over work that was done. Then getting defensive and offended when terrible work was called out. Quoted to replace oil filter housing with Dorman part as the Dorman part is better than the oem in this case, only to arrive and told "it was fixed". Part looks original and not new. Seat beat anchor bolt left out and came off when driving. Gloated about the other things that were added trying to cover up the terrible wiring jobs that were pointed out. Imagine paying 7k for work, getting barely spliced and exposed wiring, parts not changed loose seatbelt bolts, no oil on the dipstick after "housing replacement" that wasn't even replaced with the quoted part, and brake job done that didn't even include proper grease. Stay away unless if you want to be turned into the bad guy for calling out the scam artist from the 2 scam artists themselves. read more

Had a great experience with Gus 4x4 recently and just had to share. I recently brought in my 2020 Jeep Wrangler to get serviced, and also installed a 3.5 lift kit with suspension. They also redid my gears, changing them from original factory to 4.88. I was beyond pleased with the service - the mechanics there were extremely knowledgeable and the management team provided excellent customer service.
