One day, I noticed that I felt it might have grown, and I became worried, especially since cancer has affected several members of my family and even a professor at my college passed away from melanoma. At my appointment, Dr. Craft listened to my concerns and agreed to do a biopsy for peace of mind. Thankfully, the results came back with good news. He also had an excellent bedside manner, genuinely seemed to love what he does, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I also appreciated seeing that he had a student shadowing him that day. As someone considering a career change into medicine, I know not all doctors are open to that, so I thought it was especially generous of him. I'd also like to thank Dr. Yang, his colleague, who gave me a steroid injection for a large cyst, which helped prevent further scarring. I'm very grateful for the care I received.

The office is very clean and scheduling very simple with their online tracking software. Billing is clear and they actually are very reasonable pricing wise, compared to other specialty doctors office including my old dermatologist who isn't in my network anymore. The medical assistant staff is very good as well. Parking is good, as it's a large medical plaza, and I like how they didn't push laser treatments or boutique creams like some other dermatology clinics I've been too, but they have them available. I liked the practice so much I been referring them to friends and on reddit.

I wonder if Dr Chuang sold his practice to a private equity firm because the office is now all about profit and not about patient care. Also, I have been double billed, billed for crazy amounts (like hundreds of dollars for a skin check when I called my insurance and was only supposed to pay my $40 copay) and then it's soooooo much work to and hassle: his office just drains the life out of you and makes you want to give up and just let them keep your money. The final straw is that now the office has a new policy where you have to keep a credit card on file. This seems rampant for abuse! I decided to quit this practice rather than have to go through the hassle of this office changing my credit card aimlessly and fraudulently.

I am so happy with the results!!!! The spots are flawless and can't be seen with no scars, and I'm so happy. As for the office, it's very well maintained and clean. I scheduled an appointment in 2026 with Dr. Michelle Cheng instead. Dr. Cheng herself was efficient and prescribed the medications I needed, which is the only reason this office is receiving one star rather than zero. The rest of the experience was completely unprofessional. When scheduling, I uploaded my new insurance and my appointment was confirmed, leading me to believe the office accepted my insurance. Upon arrival, the front desk was chaotic. Patients were being called out by full name and even MRN numbers within clear earshot of the waiting room, which was extremely concerning from a privacy standpoint. I provided my insurance card and later asked for it back, at which point a front desk employee named Rebecca responded with visible attitude, stating she could not run my insurance because her computer was not working and repeatedly said they "just needed to get me into a room." I specifically asked whether the provider I was seeing accepted my insurance and was told yes. After a rushed and impersonal visit, I was left alone in the exam room for another 10 minutes without being told my appointment had ended. During this time, I overheard multiple conversations about other patients in the hallway. When I returned to the front desk to retrieve my insurance card, I was told my insurance "wouldn't go through" and was informed that it was my responsibility to ensure the provider was in network. I explained that I have PPO insurance and that my coverage is active and used regularly. Despite this, I was told my insurance was "not valid" and that they "hoped it would work when billing got it." Overall, this visit was disorganized, unprofessional, and deeply disappointing. I will not be returning.

I decided to try again and saw Jackie. The difference in a couple months was really great! She listened to my concerns about harsh treatments and how I didn't have luck with tretinoin in the past. She noticed that I had multiple issues that needed to be resolved so she put me on a treatment plan. As I progressed I was able to phase out prescriptions once they were solved. My skin concerns of course were not solved overnight but I was happy to have someone who was able to guide me every step of the way. She listened to all my concerns and is an absolute pleasure to see. I've only seen Jackie so I can't speak for the other doctors. All the nurses I've dealt with have been helpful and professional. I will say I've never had the issues others have had in their reviews. Front desk is like any other medical front desk. Kind of cold but they get my appointments scheduled and send documents quickly. The wait times can be long so I like scheduling end of day. Parking is also not easy during the day but clears up later. Overall I highly recommend Jackie but give yourself time for parking/ wait times.

It turned out to be malignant melonoma which they were able to get a same day referral and appointment to have it removed. Now it's complately gone as Dr Iwasaki caught it very early, stage 1. She has me on a frequent follow up schedule in order to ensure my skin stays healthy as I spent a lot of unprotected sun time in my younger year.
