Then the carbonation on the soda machine was not set right to which she offered us an exchange for bottled sodas(nice of her). They do not have vegan options and should correct this listing. I tried to order a tostada a couple weeks ago. They said they had whole beans that were vegetarian but when I ordered a bean tostada they said oh the tostada is fried in lard. That is the opposite of vegan lol. Literally always fantastic! Clean, friendly, fresh and DELICIOUS! We go there at least once a week. Their pastor street tacos are amazing with their roasted jalapeño to eat along with it. They don't put guacamole on it but that's part of the magic! You can add guacamole if you want but I love them so much without it. It really sets them apart from every other street taco in town. Want something else? Try their Surf and Turf burrito! It has carne asada, diced chicken, and shrimp. Wrap that up with rice, pico and guacamole and gosh dang it's to die for! Used to be one of my favorite places to eat but recently every visit has been a disappointment. Today my hubby called in a simple order of 3 single ground beef tacos ($3.25 each) and three single bean tostadas ($3.50 each) total w/out tax $20.25 yet he was charged $32 dollars and change and the guy was rude and didn't give a receipt. He was rude on the phone too. We were over charged $10+ dollars. The employees are different from when service was good. Also the guy in the kitchen is always eating while cooking. Anyways, the moment we walked in one of the cooks was extremely rude and told us they were closed but their sign was still on, and it's 9:50 and it is still on. Came here on a recommendation from a friend for menudo. First off, we placed our order at 0930. The food was served at 10:00. Went for the first bite, menudo was luke warm. Come on man.... I also got a carne asada taco. The meat looked and tasted like it was boiled first. We did not get tortillas for the menudo. I think the best thing from these two meals was the tortilla from the taco. Anyway, i will not be returning... So i will be giving this restaurant 1 star for customer service and food quality. Food was absolutely amazing! Carne Asada burrito was made with only pico, guacamole and Asada the way it should be. Horchata was super sweet and on point. Store was clean and they encourage the use of masks which I'm also appreciative of. The customer service? Lacking. The young girl at the front had a garbage attitude. I moved to the area a few years ago and my parents recommended this place, we all loved it up until the food quality changed and suddenly the cashier was overcharging me? But the other day I walked in and the smell was almost overpowering. Still, I forged on because the food is good, right? I got a bean and cheese burrito. Simple. My burrito was one third beans and two thirds cheese. Two thirds had no beans at all - just cheese and tortilla. The beans were at one end of the burrito and the cheese was everywhere else. staying at AVI casino across the way and found this gem. We're from San Diego and not expecting much :). After a long hard day jet skiing, stopped and ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and Wife got the Chili Relleno. Burrito was on point and Wife liked her Relleno. Good quality food, they have a Fresh Salsa Bar, with Carrots, Onions, Radishes, and Jalapenos. Their Hot sauce is pretty good, nobody really has Hot sauce anymore, but theirs had a decent kick. If you're using Ghost peppers Salsa as a reference. Place was clean and seen alot of local Hispanics eating there as well, which is a good sign, their food is representative of real Mexican food. The next day came back for Lengua Tacos, huge, compared to San Diego tacos. Usually you'll see a drop in flavor or quality, but I didn't, solid tacos, along with everything else. My wife had to be difficult and order a piece of fish with Spanish Rice, instead of a Fish Taco, she was happy. Just good clean food, not processed. Salsa bar was awesome, killed a few carrots, Jalapenos, onions and radishes. Best way to eat! On a side note, not clear what the other reviews were about, but some of those negative comments I didn't experience at all. Between us we had; pastor torta (one of the better ever had), pastor street tacos (very good), chicken enchiladas (described as the best enchilada sauce ever tasted), and Jamaica drinks (very strong and slightly bitter). The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 were fairly minor. Those are: The Jamaica was overly strong, the pastor was very good but surprisingly had cinnamon undertones and tasted as if there was left over chorizo or Longaniza on the flat top previously which had imparted its flavor to the pastor. It could be that the marinade for the pastor here just happens to have those spices, but it may be a surprising flavor to those not expecting it. Since I love Longaniza, it did not bother me personally. read more

This is our favorite taco shop! The shredded Beef tacos are the best ever. The bean and cheese burritos are compared to none! I have a hard time deciding between the carnitas and the el pastor tacos.The carne asada burritos are also very good, the steak is always tender with out any grisel. I can't forget to mention their bean Tostadas...so good!! At the salas bar you can't go wrong with any of the three flavors of hot sause or salsa. The drink dispenser was overflowing all over the floor. The employees moved quickly to clean it up, but they were using their hands to brush the drink into a dirty bucket. My husband's shrimp burrito had shrimp that wasn't fully deshelled and it really grossed him out. I had asada tacos. They were okay, but I could have made them myself with preseasoned meat.
