We had the chicken marsala over angel hair and a house salad. The chicken marsala was cooked just right with the mushrooms and marsala sauce coating the pasta just right. The NFL playoffs were going on so we sat in the bar and watched the game, but we could hear Frank Sinatra gently singing a Summers Rain in the main dining area. Christie our waitress was very attentive and helped us pick out our dish. i guess you can't trust some restaurants to stand behind their posted hours. Both on Yelp and on the restaurant's front doors 9:00 p.m. is listed as Meoni's closing time. Plus, on more than one occasion Diane and I had previously arrived here around 8:30 p.m. and were warmly greeted, seated, and enjoyed our ordered meals. But this Sunday night two days after Halloween, after we had crossed the Colorado River on the Don Laughlin Bridge and had driven for half an hour from our home in Laughlin, we arrived at 8:25 p.m. only to find the restaurant dark and locked, with nobody inside. Granted this was the first day of a time change in California and Nevada from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time. But this circumstance should have had no effect on Arizona, whose time zone remained the same as the day before. Disappointed, we went in search of another place to eat dinner, and after encountering the kitchen staff of China Panda in the restaurant's parking lot about to leave for home half an hour earlier than its posted closing hour, finally wound up at reliable Black Bear Diner. We were the only patrons seated in the entire capacious restaurant until a few other people walked inside about 15 minutes later This spooky night felt like Halloween, but the tricks and added hunger we experienced occurred just a bit later. read more

We stopped in Bullhead City to visit a friend who suggested this Italian restaurant, and honestly, I was a little skeptical at first -- it's hard to find really good Italian food that actually tastes homemade. But we were pleasantly surprised! My husband and our friend both ordered the sausage and peppers, and I had the stuffed shells. Everything was absolutely scrumptious -- the sauce was perfect, not too sweet or acidic, and the marinara had that true homemade flavor. The cheese tasted fresh, and every bite was delicious. They also have a whole gelato bar and fresh desserts -- including spumoni, which is nearly impossible to find these days! We loved everything about our dinner and the atmosphere. The building has an interesting history too -- it used to be a roller rink, so it's spacious and would be great for family gatherings or parties. First time visit, it opens at noon, they serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Hostess will seat you at a booth or table which ever you prefer. The restaurant is larger than it appears from the outside. You can dine in or take out. They have a gelato bar so save room for desserts. My waitress, Christi, was very attentive, she went above and beyond to ensure my visit positive and did it with a smile. She kept my drink glass full, checked in with me frequently and boxed up my leftovers for me. For appetizer I chose the sampler, loved the garlic bread. I could actually taste the garlic, the zucchini strips were cooked perfectly. The chicken Marsala was on a bed of thin spaghetti with lots of Marsala sauce and the chicken breasts perfectly cooked. Ok this hole in a wall is AMAZING! So you walk in and there is a little confusion. To the right is a buffet station. That is for when they set up for brunch (on my to do list). Then there is a line, this is to order to go. But in that line is a mini Italian market. There were cookies and pasta. But what caught my eye was the dessert selections on display. The food is delicious. The artichoke dip in the appetizer was different than im used to, but the flavor was just so good. My brother ordered the chicken Margherita. Tasted his dish and that is all i wanted. The balsamic glaze was perfect balance of acidity and sweetness with the tomatoes and the juicy chicken. Warm welcoming. Wide open seating available. We were with a large crew of 15 and the servers were excellent. The waiter Josh was great and very helpful and patient since we weren't from around here. I have not found any Italian restaurant in Bullhead City worth returning to, but this one changed that. Meoni's has an extensive menu, lots of seating including a bar area and the food was very good. We wanted to order our dinner to go but did not want to do it over the phone. So we went into the restaurant and placed the order at the counter. We ordered the ravioli special, chicken parmesean, cacio e pepe, house italian salad, and cannolis. Everything was delicious. We waited in the bar area while our food was prepared and the bar staff offered us water. There were some great large televisions with different sports games on. Unfortunately, our cannolis were not packed in with our dinner and we had to return to the restaurant after we ate our meal at home. Fortunately the restaurant is not very far from our home. The restaurant is located in a large shopping center so there is plenty of parking. Check out the website and see all that this restaurant has to offer. Decent pasta spot for the area. It's located in the strip mall. Plenty of parking available. You can actually enter this restaurant from the parking lot. It's MASSIVE inside. There is a bar, restrooms, a gelato station, and plenty of seating. This place doubles as an event space. Staff was welcoming and inviting. Each meal comes with garlic bread. Tried the Caesar salad (regular size can be easily split by two people), and the chicken fettuccini Alfredo. Overall the meal was just okay. Brushetta 10/10!!! Mozz sticks could have been cooked a minute longer but my kids devoured. My friend got the chicken Alfredo said it was realllllly garlicy but one of the best he's had and he's a picky eater. I got the chicken Marsala, comes with a browner gravy like substance but taste was amazing! Garlic bread was light and fluffy and as well delicious. Went here a few days ago because someone in the group had heard the restaurant was very good based on the mozzarella sticks. Whatever, I'm simply the plus one, so off we went. Restaurant is in a strip mall and looks as if they have a buffet on a certain day? We walked in and there was a setup for a buffet (cleaned chafing dishes and what looks to be like a possible carving station.) Not sure if that's for Mother's Day coming up or if it is a regular feature. There is quite a large seating area. Seems like this space is meant to be used for large events to host probably 200 people. I've seen other reviews complaining about lack of coziness. It's not a big deal to me, but if you're looking for a quaint, cozy, or romantic restaurant, this probably isn't it. I have Celiac and can't have gluten. The menu is not marked but the waiter (who was fantastic) said they could make a few sauces gluten free. There is a $3.50 upcharge for zucchini noodles which feels very spendy on top of the already $20-$30 entrée prices. We are in a strip mall in Bullhead City, Arizona afterall I ended up getting the $18 antipasto salad without bread. Unfortunately it was incredibly bland despite all of the ingredients in it. It needed some acidity in it to cut the fat from the meat and cheese and oil dressing. While I couldn't eat the appetizers, the $10 mozzarella sticks looked identical to what is sold in the freezer section. The group also ordered the $19 Meoni Sampler. I noticed that the artichoke dip on the sampler was barely touched by the other 4 people in the party. Almost none of the bread was eaten by the group. People at the table ordered $29 veal parmesan, $26 pesto shrimp tortellini, $22 shrimp scampi and $21 chicken Alfredo. Three of the four didn't eat the bulk of their pasta. (The pesto tortellini must have been the standout.) One asked for a box for her Alfredo but then said she didn't know why she asked because she wasn't planning to eat the leftovers. I feel like the prices are a bit too spendy for this location. I also don't think people leaving a lot of their food on their plates is indicative of them liking what they ordered to warrant me rating this 3 stars. Service was FANTASTIC, so no complaints there. Yes, they are pricey, but it's worth it. Their chicken Alfredo, long Island lasagna and stuffed shells are delicious and the portion size is generous! I have become a regular here since I moved here 2 years ago and will continue to be one. The staff are awesome and prompt and friendly and make my time here very enjoyable. The overall atmosphere is very fancy and clean and they always have at least multiple games on at the bar, and plenty of seating for small groups, couples or soloists like myself. Whether local or passing through, this local is telling you to give Meoni's a try, it is worth every $$$. read more

First off, we've been a few times and the food is delicious, but if you are expecting a traditional Italian restaurant beware that this is a sometimes odd American style of Italian cooking. Like their Gnocchi, I ordered gnocchi, we all know what they are; little dumplings in a sauce, right? But I got ravioli!! When I asked I was informed that they were made with "gnocchi dough". But with Italian cooking the pasta SHAPE is what gives it the name, so if you order spaghetti and get lasagna it's a bit of a surprise even if all the ingredients are the same. The waiter was surprised that I was surprised, and kindly condescended to explain my error, but there is no mention of this "twist" on the menu. They tasted fine, but it wasn't gnocchi. Maybe they need to clarify their menu listing? Just be careful to ask exactly what you are getting before you order. It all tastes good, but rather than being a down home type place it seems to have pretentions at a sophistication that it can't quite pull off. read more

I came to Meoni's a couple the weeks ago on October 26th with my aunt and cousin. We wanted to check out their new bar. The new bar is amazing. It has a awesome granite countertop and enough tv's to keep people happy watching their favorite sports. This time I want to try something different. I usually never order spaghetti whenever I go to an Italian restaurant but I found out that the have a zucchini noodle option. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with zucchini noodles. When our food arrived I dug right into my plate of food. The zucchini noodles were cooked to perfection. The noodles had a nice crisp bite to them. They were not over cooked. The meatballs were nice and moist and the flavor of the red sauce really brought this whole dish together. I ate my whole plate and with the zucchini noodles the dish did not feel heavy like it would have with pasta. I love pasta and prefer pasta but this dish really was complemented by the zucchini. Any pasta dish can be substituted with zucchini noodles. Happy Hour at the bar is 7 days a week 3 pm to 5 pm and includes drink specials and 1/2 off appetizers. I'm looking forward to them opening "Meoni's Pizzeria" located just a few doors down. read more

I've been there several times and have tried different dishes this time I tried the Spaghetti and Meatballs. Portion was large including 2 large meatballs. But the sauce was watery and the only flavor I got from it was NASTY. Not sure if that was the way it normally tasted cause I've done another pasta dish with the red sauce and it didn't taste like this at all. I ate 1 meatball and 2 forkfuls of spaghetti and was stuck with the taste till I got home and brushed my teeth. Sorry to do this Meonis but I will stick to my Favorite Chicken Margarita. read more

My wife and I were passing through on our way back to Vegas and were starving, so I pulled up Yelp and started looking in Bullhead City since we were going through there. I grew up in NYC, and my mother and aunts were amazing Italian cooks. I am very picky about food in general, but I'm especially hard to please when it comes to Italian and Chinese cuisine. TL;DR: I was impressed! This was an amazing find. Eat here, and you'll love it. I NEVER in a million years expected Italian food this incredible in the middle of nowhere in the desert. NYC Italian approved. The service was great--very friendly and respectful--better than 95% of the service I've received in Vegas, whether local or on the Strip. We're both working on losing weight, so our appetites didn't allow for appetizers or dessert, but I had the Veal Piccata, and it was absolutely delicious. I've had a craving for veal lately and haven't found an off-Strip Italian place in Vegas that feels like home and is consistent. This hit the spot perfectly. My wife had the cioppino, and she gave me a mussel and a clam--both were delicious. The stew was fantastic when I tried a spoonful on its own. Everything else I saw being brought out to others looked incredible, and we plan on going out of our way to come back soon. The only surprising thing was how big the place is! When we walked in, I thought we had entered a catering place that also did takeout because of the counter and gelato bar. But once you turn the corner, you see a HUGE dining area that's very nicely lit--not too bright, not too dim--and well set up and decorated. This isn't a negative at all and didn't take away from the experience or meal; I mention it because they must host weddings and parties in the space, and I imagine the food and service would be amazing for those events.
