As a plus size bride, I did not want to make an already vulnerable experience harder with a difficult experience before my wedding. And the hard part: I wanted them to be local. I feel incredibly blessed that I found Courtney, and that she took me in. She was INCREDIBLE. So sweet, incredibly talented and knowledgeable... not to mention very sensitive. She talked to me, asked me questions about my big day, and made me feel right at home... and EXCITED. I can't thank her enough. Plus, her little studio here in Chico is the best. A great interpersonal experience where you feel like the most important thing. I had a body that is a bit big for Medium Chef Coat and too small for a Large Chef Coat, which I just found out, je je je, going to the gym will definitely fix this issue, but I cannot wait six months, I needed the chef coats to be tailored to my current body type, I had a meeting in 12 hours, and Misha took care of my needs, by fixing one in an hour and the other four by the next day. He was told that taking the dress in would address both. When we picked it up, the straps were even looser - easily falling off the shoulder - and the fit was asymmetrical. We called and were told to bring her back to correct it, which we did. At pickup, we were hit with an unexpected $85 extra charge and told we "never requested" the straps be adjusted. Over $300 later, the dress still doesn't fit properly. We left feeling taken advantage of, misled, and pressured. Dads/parents: if you're not a tailoring expert, be extra cautious here. He removed CANALI labels out of my suit jackets to con people that he makes CANALI suits. When the hearing of the case came up, he tricked the court that he had just received the suit papers and requested for continuation to another date. I told the court that he won't show up. And true to my warning to the court, he was nowhere on the d-day. I have a judgment against him. Many people have contacted me about how he conned them. Don't trust him! He is a con artist! Now he operates variously as KC Tailor, Tailor of Blue Springs, The tailor of Kansas City! Be warned of this con artist who dresses nice to deceive unsuspecting customers.
