Have you always wanted a brand new Corvette? Have you worked most of your life and saved up for years leading all up to the big payoff? Well don't get your dream ride from these clowns. They sold a customer a brand new C8 Corvette with 2 miles on it at the time of delivery off the truck. When the customer comes to get it, there's 96 miles on it and it's scratched and dirty inside. Customer asks what the deal is, and they say that their GM DROVE AN ALREADY SOLD CAR AROUND TOWN. THEY SOLD THIS PERSON A BRAND NEW CORVETTE AND TOOK IT ON A JOYRIDE. Break-in period on these is 500 miles and that was likely disregarded in those 94 additional miles. For $70k-$100k+ for some of these cars, I don't want some dude's stubby little paws all over my interior. I'm 567 miles away and even I'm livid for this poor customer. Work your whole life, save your money, and this is what you get. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS FOR ANYTHING, ESPECIALLY A CORVETTE. GM mangers joy rides your brand new cars before you get them just so you know your not getting a new car

You know what guys? You think you take your Chevrolet vehicle to a Chevrolet dealership and tell them to do a 4 wheel alignment, rebalance all 4 tires, and lube the front-end, that is what they will do right? I paid for all 3 services and Gwatney Chevrolet just checked the front end (which was barely in specs), according to the computer readout sheet I got, and left it that way! They could have moved 2 adjustments closer to the center, (camber and toe), but left them where they were! Then I get it home and realized all 4 upper and lower ball joints were not touched! Dry as a bone! So here I am, 63 years old, under a '96 Corvette with a floor jack. Had to pull the front tires off to get to the 2 lower ball joints to grease them on each side! Just another good example of how people are constantly getting ripped off in this day and age! I will keep checking out everything myself in our home and vehicle's till I just can't do it anymore. I really feel sorry for people that can't do their own electrical work and vehicle work. Please guys, get many estimates before you put your trust in companies that we all depend on! By the way, Nate was my service advisor that I talk to over the phone, then brought it in to him. I even asked him twice about greasing all the suspension and he said yes. When I picked it up, he was no where in sight. Tires were very loose when I took off the beauty caps as well. Never buying or taking any vehicle to Gwatney Chevrolet ever again! Place is a circus / clown show. A. I call 1 week in advance to make sure everything is a go / I'm still supposed to drop my vehicle on the day they listed on the paperwork from inspection /submission to insurance. - they had not submitted anything to insurance - insurance had cancelled my claim due to this repair shop not submitting anything. - I have to spend 1-2 hours on the phone with insurance and Gwatney. B. They had 3 months since inspection to submit to insurance, order parts needed for my vehicle. - when I go to pickup vehicle when they say it's "ready" they inform me some parts are backordered C. They don't inform you when the backordered parts are received or ready to install - I had to call them, and the person handling the account claimed they were "busy" and hadn't gotten to it yet - this was 3 weeks after picking my vehicle up and them informing me some parts were backordered Overall this place is a mess.. I'll never purchase a vehicle from Gwatney. I'll let insurance know I'll drive the 30mins to Everett to make sure this never happens again. - I don't think it's a lack of knowledge, but more of a lack of care / give a crap - if it were any of their vehicles I doubt they'd want to be treated the way they treat customers - at the end of the day they know insurance companies are paying majority of the bill, and don't care about the individual... *all we can do as individuals is give them bad ratings and complain to our insurance companies to stop sending us here read more

After I posted my review on Google I received a call and message from Mr. J. Smith stating that he didn't know that I wanted him to contact me after he allegedly ordered a truck. If you order anything someone will always contact you to advise hou you that it was ordered. May 6th when I was off I was able to respond to Mr. J. Smith text. I advised him that I did believe that he had ordered my truck due to no confirmation being sent to me. He responded by saying that he would send me something if I wanted I responded back, "I need something showing that it was ordered!" Still haven't heard or seen anything via email or phone. I contacted the online department about a car today to see if it was still available. The guy I spoke with said yes. I told him we would like to see it at 5:30 pm this evening and asked if he could have the carfax ready when we got there. He told me he could have it all ready. we arrived around 30 min early. When I was taken to the online sales person he asked another guy if he could show us the car. He said no. He had been working a deal on it all day and had just sold it. I understand supply is short but a text message would have been nice. My time and gas was wasted. They didn't even apologize. We rearranged our evening based on them assuring me that it would be ready for us to see. I have 3 cars to buy over the next year and I can promise it won't be at Gwatney. I took my car in for a head light wire replacement. The first time I got it done for $25. The second time I took it for the other side to be replaced they charged me $179. I thought it had worsened from the other side but when I got home and looked at my receipt from the month before I noticed they did the exact same thing. They just charged ,e three times the cost. If I could zero stars I would! I dropped my car off early Thursday morning for a crack behind my catalytic converter and repair of side mirror. Jennifer calls me late Thursday evening to tell me the work would not be finished and I would receive a phone call Friday when services were done. Friday came and went with no phone call. I called Friday 4 times and left a voicemail for an update on my car. Nothing! Saturday I called because they're "supposedly" open but I still get no answer and only voicemails. When i did get someone on the phone, the only thing the representative, if you can call her that, tells me that she thinks only one person is back in service and she can't make them answer the phone or she can give me the cell number of the service manager but she really can't do anything else then proceeded to hang up on me. By this point I am livid and find a way to get a ride up there. All the service bays are closed. I had to speak to someone in sales to figure out what was going on with my car. Come to find out, my car had been ready since yesterday and no one bothered to call me. My car was not also washed. With services, you are to get a car wash. And since the pandemic they do not have courtesy cars to loan out for you to have when the work is extensive. Do not deal with Jennifer and if you want crappy customer service then by all means take your car to Gwatney. Their only way of apologizing was taking $30 off my bill which is still not nearly enough. I will NEVER return to this business and I will be taking my car to be serviced elsewhere. I purchased a used vehicle for my daughter. There was a ding that the salesman agreed to pop out and he did. We left the vehicle with them for a week to get everything completed. I picked up the vehicle only to learn the keyless entry did not work and then discovered the vehicle was 3000 miles overdue for an oil change. They didn't even change the oil before they sold us the vehicle! I took the vehicle back and waited 3 1/2 hours for an oil change and then was instructed I would have to take the car somewhere else to get the keyless entry fixed but they would pay for it. The salesman told me he would schedule that appointment for the end of the week. By the end of the week, no appointment was made and I'm still waiting for it to be fixed. I will never buy another vehicle from them again nor recommend them to anyone else. read more

I purchased a used truck from them 4 months ago. I paid $29,000 cash for it. The salesman told me there was 2 keys, but he would have to get the second key back from the previous owner. It has been 4 months now and every week I have gone up there to inquire about the spare key only to get the run around. I really dont want someone else in town having a spare key to my truck, and a spare key could come in handy someday. read more

The waiting room was pleasant, Mr. Gwatney came by and greeted everyone, I also had a great talk about classic cars with one of the service guys. Of course, they denied they were at-fault and they claimed the cameras would not show what happened 6 or 7 days back. I alerted them about the scratches the next day and received a cell phone number to text the photos to on the following day. LRAFB area folks. I was extraordinarily disappointed in Gwatney Chevy's sales staff over the past month. As some of you know, Ann and I have been trying to order a van built for our growing family. This should be a no-brainer, easy sale...yet Gwatney Chevrolet's sales staff has destroyed every bit of confidence in that side of business. Below is the commentary I just sent them when they requested feedback. As of this point in time, I recommend that perspective buyers purchase a vehicle elsewhere. -----My Feedback Follows----- Issue #1 I was absolutely appalled by your salesmen's lack of integrity and teamwork. Our vehicle was devalued TWICE in less than a month timespan. 1) Ad for the special sales event recently valued MY Suburban via personalized mailing at approx $11,500 with another $1000 bonus if we came in during the event, which we did. 2) Salesman at the dealership during the event had YOUR appraisers test drive our vehicle and appraised the exact same Suburban at $6000 for trade-in 3) Different salesman sniping the attempted sale after the event, without test drive or re-appraising it, valued the same Suburban at $3500 for trade-in. When I asked both times the value dropped, I was given the exact same, text-book response. This completely defeated the purpose of having YOUR appraisers assess the vehicle in the first place. Issue #2 Your salesmen have ZERO power to negotiate. We wasted two hours talking to somebody that had to continually go back to the glass box for each and every point of negotiation. Issue #3 Train your salesmen and managers the difference between GM Manufacturer level military/educator/student incentives and Bank-to-Authorized Dealer pricing. The salesman kept trying to convince us that the Bank pricing was a military discount, which it wasn't. He also kept trying to convince us that the GM-level cash or finance incentives were just tickets to special pricing and not stackable with anything, despite text on the GM website to the contrary. Issue #4 Failure to comply with my bank's Certified Dealer requirements. "No Surprises: As a [my bank] Certified Dealer, Gwatney Chevrolet is committed to total price transparency. This means Gwatney Chevrolet discloses its dealer fees and commonly installed dealer accessories in its pricing estimates." At no point in negotiation were we shown the disclosure and had pricing explained with any form of transparency. The salesman had the sheet in front of him, but kept it well away for his reference only. Bottom Line: YOU DON'T HONOR YOUR WORD! Based on this experience alone, I will recommend to my bank that your dealership be removed from its Certified Dealer list as well as recommend to my fellow veterans to seek vehicle purchases elsewhere until such time as the deceptive practices end. I have been an extremely loyal customer to your service department for the past several years, but the experiences of the past month have taught me that the same loyalty is not reciprocated on the sales floor. read more

bought a new car from them 80k miles transmission went out because chevy has a so called flex plate in the tranny that is known to crack and they wont stand behind there product they wanted 5k to rebuild it car has never been over 70 mph and 65 mile one way trip got tranny rebuilt with the same warranty that gwatney offers for 1500 wont buy another chevy have owned several cars in my life with a lot more miles then this one and have never had a tranny go out before fact is they build them now days knowing they wont last cause they want you to buy a new one well im gonna buy a new one and its gonna be a dodge or a ford wont never buy another chevy read more

Do not buy a car from here. They're a bunch of crooks and liar. They have bad business practices. I bought a car for them to tell me some time later that I was not a approve for a loan. After they sold me the car, we signed a contract, and they gave me keys. I put a down payment down, purchased insurance, and also bought things for my car. They came and repossessed my car with my belongings. When I went to get my belongs they stole or threw away my belonging. Including my Versace perfume, body sprays, mac makeup up, ray bans sunglasses, brand new 100 Victoria secret swim suit never worn, my driver license. I felt they did out spite because I didn't want to return they car and wanted to take them to court. I had to call the police and report my belongings. The reported my car stolen when they sold to it me to detective Johnson at the Jacksonville police department he dropped the cause after they were caught in many lies. The attorney general is also backing me. I did not have a way to get back and forth to school since the took my car. I was refused a down payment until the attorney general contact them stating the statues they broke. I kid got my down payment back and it's almost been a year in early March. They have bad business practices and I have heard from 2 other people that purchase a car from them. Why sale me a car if I was approved? Have me by insurance and sell a car to me ?! I purchased a car here a 2016 chevy impala. The automotive service was not satisfactory to me because of getting rail roaded from the repairs on my car. I was told that water being removed from my gas tank would be under warranty, however after the water issue was fixed then all of a sudden it was not under warranty like I been informed from the service department. I had a hard time trying to get it resolved but I was charged for something they informed me would be covered but it wasn't. I would not recommend this place for a car read more

Horrible experience. We bought a vehicle from them, only to have the brakes blow out two weeks later. Of course they wouldn't do anything to help us except having their service station check it out. True, the vehicle came with no warrenty, but a caliper that was in that bad of shape should have been spotted in the initial inspection, if they even gave it one. Also, they kept harassing us with calls saying our bank never sent them the loan when our bank had in fact sent the information three times. They were not helpful when we needed help, demanding when something was obviously their fault, and we will never be returning there in the future or recommending it. read more

We brought our van in for repair multiple times because the air bag light kept coming on. It was under warranty the first few times. They never repaired it but just kept resetting it. We expressed our concern over this because the warranty would soon expire. We were told not to worry because they would take care of it. Last week, they called to say it was fixed. I no more made it out of the parking lot before the light came back on. I immediately took it bacThk. They have had it for 2.5 weeks and only reset it again. Now they are just telling us that it is no longer covered under warranty. This is not only dishonest, it is dangerous for families who trust them. I cannot recommend them to anyone. Fast talking and unethical should be in lights on the sign in the parking lot. This is the worst dealership in the Arkansas. The management isn't any better and will not help in anyway. The person just sits there quietly while you speak and then just passes the call on to someone else who will not help you but instead blame you for whatever happened. Oh but they will tell you they did you a BIG favor no matter what the car deal is!! They make you think they bent over backwards, pulled every trick they know and did absolutely everything they could to get the most money out of the deal. They make you feel like they are doing you favors. I will never recommend anyone to this place and I will never purchase from them again! If I could rate ZERO stars I would. If you do buy from here you will regret it and once the newness wears off and reality sinks in you will realize that you were bamboozled and smooth talked into something you can't afford. It's lie after lie after lie. You will worry about this and wonder why you bought this but trust me they are smiling and laughing and making money and doing everyone else the same way. If you even think about swallowing your pride and going back up there and asking to rework your deal, forget it! Leave what pride you have left at home don't let them take the rest of it like they took your wallet! They go by the "good ole' boy system" and if they like you or not. If you are friends with someone up there or if you have $$ they will do anything for you and they will call in special favors for you but if you don't have $$ and if you are not on the "friends, special" list then forget it. If you are a woman look out! The talk is sweeter and faster and I can guarantee you will be taken advantage of. It's sad but true but they flatter women with all these compliments to throw her off track so she forgets about what's really important. And they constantly ask, "what's your payment range?" It should not be the first question out of the salesman's mouth. It should be "what can I help you with today?" Let the customer discuss first why she/he is there and what they want and agree to terms and an amount on a vehicle. Then if I have a trade tell me what you will give me for it and then we can discuss what I want my payment to be. They think people are stupid and don't ask them the bottom line question. Me and my family have purchased many vehicles from Gwatney over the past 20 years. Until recently I have always been happy with my purchases and the salesmen but my recent purchase has helped me decide that I will never buy from them again. The salesman lied about several things and it wasn't until we went to sign the papers (after being there for hours with two small children) that we discovered exactly what the real deal was. I complained to several managers who didn't really seem concerned, just wanted to hear what I had to say so I could leave. Then after not driving the used car I bought for an entire week the change engine oil light came on. When I took it in they were happy to change the oil and make me wait for almost an hour and a half. When I told my grandfather about my recent experience he informed me that he had quit using Gwatney several years ago because of their service and lies.
