Unfortunately it was a rainy evening so everything was soaked, but we weren't going to let that ruin our 1 hour drive to see Tom Keifer. The venue is VERY small. Not sure of the capacity, but I will say that the best places to sit is in the center even if you are in the last row. We were seated stage right 2nd row and couldn't really see anything thanks to the pillars at the front of the stage and also the equipment blocking the view. Word of warning.....I was initially bummed I couldn't get Row 1 when I searched for tickets...when I got there, I was ecstatic I didn't get Row 1. I would be so upset if I paid for front row seats and had to essentially sit on the ground. Row 1 had to sit on the wet ground...it was the ledge/wall type thing with fake grass and brick. Row 2 was the first row with actual seats. It appears that all of the sections are this way. 1 row no chairs (sit on the ground) 1 row chairs, then repeat. The good part is the money spent there goes to the school. So that's awesome. The other good part is the bathrooms! there's no line and they are much bigger than you would expect, they are clean AND it's air conditioned. Concession ladies weren't the nicest. Before the show was over (even before the last song prior to the encore started), I went up to buy a water and was told they were closed. They are losing a lot of money by turning it away that early. I didn't sit VIP, but glad I didn't. The website describes the "Suites" as something awesome....What it actually is, is a tailgating tent for each "Suite" with a high top table and chairs, a bucket of bud light type beer, and a buffet setup across the way catered by Golden Corral. There's no fans, no AC, not indoors...not what one expects to receive for that kind of money. Over all the venue is just ok - It's very nice and new from a looks perspective, but not very professionally handled. It's nice in theory, but needs work. Oh right..the show - it started over half an hour late and then there were amp issues the whole night. Not sure I would go back here.

Catering by Marlowes and access to some really fantastic reserve beer makes it worth the extra money. Not much of a crowd inside the tent, but after they opened the gates, lines started piling up quick. Still, no waits more than a couple minutes, unless you wanted to use the VIP bathrooms. They really needed more... BTW, if you had a problem with traffic or parking, it's because you didn't take Uber. It's a BEER FEST; don't drive!!! We won't make the mistake of missing this event again...

The Superbowl is set for this Sunday in Houston, Texas where our hometown Atlanta Falcons will place their bid for the first Superbowl Championship in franchise history! You can feel the excitement throughout the entire state of Georgia! We are so proud of the Falcons and particularly of the man and player Julio Jones has been: http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=18537557 The training camp was empty of course, as the Falcons arrived in Houston last week to get an early start on their practice for the big game. Although I don't believe God takes sides when it comes to sports, I walked the perimeter of the Training Facility offering prayers up for our boys to be their very best both physically and mentally. I prayed they have the game of their lives and of course, kinda hinted at how nice it would be if all that resulted in a victory! LOL The camp has been headquarters for the past 12 consecutive years with practices open to the public usually between late July through mid August. Players sign autographs for about 15 minutes after practice is over, making for a great fan experience for all ages! Each training camp season they also host an annual Kia Friday Night Lights event and other fun events such as Atlanta Falcons Freddie's Summer Bash, opportunities to meet Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders, and Military Appreciation Day. Gates open one hour before practice is scheduled to begin. In 2016, there were about 14 training camp days open to the public. Check their website for the 2017 training camp schedule. A visit during practice season is a must for any fan. I imagine this beautiful facility with its open field, steep viewing area and FREE admission will be fully packed come this fall when our Falcons hold the title as the current Superbowl Champions. Can I get a witness? ..... TRAINING CAMP FAN GUIDELINES Please comply with all requests made by field security workers and Falcons staff. Smoking is prohibited. Shirts and shoes are required. Please refrain from wearing any type of distracting or inappropriate apparel. Upon entry to the facility, your bag will be inspected for any prohibited items. Videotaping during practice is strictly prohibited. Please refrain from talking to players or coaches during practice.
