And it's also a big plus that the in and out of the parking lot is really easy, even after the show ends! My only small criticism is that there is usually no live music played for the songs. But I totally understand this because the prices are so low. However, they did have a live band play music for "Beautiful," which was actually my favorite show that I saw there. I hope people will continue to support this gem of a theatre!

The seating is also wonderful, and I noticed when I was there to see the show, they are doing fundraising for renovations which is important for others to still have it available for future generations. We got there 5 minutes before 8pm and were trying to find 2 seats together. There were mostly single seats but there was one 2 seats together in the corner right next to the entrance. They were marked 'for guests coming in late so as not to disturb the show'. We were pretty sure it would be fine and were about to take our seats when one of their attendants rudely stopped us saying we had to take 2 separate single seats. One seat was on the left and the other on the right across the room, how ridiculous!! My husband argued and finally she agreed, but on leaving, she said 'a--ho--! We were totally shocked at that outrageous language. We kept our cool and did not want to cause a scene. We have been going to numerous theatres in the suburbs, in Philadelphia, even Broadway and have never been treated like that or ever had such a horrible experience. This theatre is just a small, run-down, 'Mom & Pop' theatre with such uncomfortable hard chairs (wooden chairs covered with red cloth just to look nice). There is probably no backstage as the performers have to go back and forth through the entrance next to our seats. The stage is so small that the performers stand just about 2 feet away from the front row! This was our first and last patronage to this lousy theatre run by a 'no-class' management.

They do have a bar area and a popcorn stand. I went for their 90 minute cat video event. During the preshow I learned that this is the oldest theater is America! How crazy is that! They have some fantastic shows coming up including many tribute bands as well as movie showings. I'm really hoping to get tickets see Joan Osborne singing the songs of Bob Dylan. Not only did we get to enjoy a night out in this charming town, but we also had the chance to be part of a place filled with history and character. Walking into the theatre felt like stepping back in time in the best way--warm, classic, and full of heart. The ambience was absolutely perfect. The cozy, intimate setting made the entire experience feel personal and inviting. From the moment we walked in, the energy was welcoming. The fresh-popped popcorn added that nostalgic movie-night touch, and the bartenders and staff members were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy to be there. Their hospitality made the night even better. We came to see The Ultimate Doors, and what a show! The sound, the vibe, and the atmosphere all came together to create a memorable night. It's rare to find a venue that feels both historic and alive, but Newtown Theatre gets it right. We would absolutely love to visit again. If you're thinking about catching a show here--do it. It's an experience you won't forget!

The church the festival/fair is held on is beautiful and so are the views of the surrounding PA area. The landscaping for the grounds is also well done too, it really is in a great area. There is plenty of parking for the event with many staff members around to direct you to a spot. The festival isn't too expensive and neither is the food or beer! The Lech beer is my personal favorite, a few of those and you'll be feeling no pain. Of course, Pierogies are recommended. The fair is aimed towards younger kids but they have plenty of rides and activities and seemed like it would be fun. There is plenty of vendor tents to look at with a variety of merchandise, and the vendors/staff we all talked to are extremely friendly too. They also have many live shows from music to acrobatics. Plenty of benches to eat food at too. They even gave a 'casino' section to test your luck and possibly win some money too! There are bathrooms in the church cafeteria building but they also have many Porto potties, the cleanest I have ever seen! All in all, it was a fun little festival with plenty to do and the grounds they are held on are really grand. Whether you are Polish or not it's worth a stop by and it is a fun way to spend Labor Day weekend!!

We did it last year and plan to do it again - it was SO much fun! We were looking for something active to do (it's a 90-minute walk) but not go dancing, for a Girls' Night. This was perfect. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave good stories and really set it up for us to have a good time. Plus we probably learned stuff too! We met down on Bridge street. The walk was not too hard but not really for someone who can't walk a good bit. They let children go, but I think the one we were on was too spooky for kids. I think they make it less scary if there are kids in the group. We DID call in advance, which they recommend and we were glad we did, b/c there were people there hoping to get in on the tour. But because we had reservations, they took us and gave them spots for the next night. They keep the groups small, which I appreciate. I went on a ghost tour in Savannah and the group was so big, we could never hear the guide. Some of the people came from surrounding areas, not just Phoenixville: Valley Forge, Downingtown, West Chester, King of Prussia. They said it was something different to do. Which I agree - it's hard to find something great to do besides just restaurants & clubs! This was fun!

Nobody pops out at you. No one hiding in costume along the trail. Flashlights and cameras aren't required, but it's fun to try to capture orbs or manifestations on camera. I was born in Phoenixville and did not know some of the history explained on the tour. I was glad I chose to participate, however, this is not a gut wrenching haunted attraction at all.
