A hole in the wall, but really a convenient store, to get some gyros. Don't expect much as far as ambiance, but if you're on the go, it's a decent place to pick up gyros. Unfortunately, they ran out of beef while we were there so we got the lamb gyro and loaded fries with chicken. The fries tasted fine, but the chicken was nothing special. The lamb gyro were much tastier. They give you a nice portion of food. They forgot our order of regular fries so we had to remind them. They rushed it out in a timely manner.

First time here. And I'll definitely be back. Little spot inside of a market. I had the lamb gyro and it was filling and full of flavor. I like the big chunks of meat in it rather than thin slices of meat. Sauces that came with it were tasty as well. The baklava was just average. Other that that food was made fresh to order. Give it a try

Being in a corner store might put you off, but the food is fantastic! Its my go to spot when I'm working on this end of town.

The babaganoush was smooth, smoky, and super flavorful without being too heavy. Portions were generous and everything came out fresh. Nicholas Restaurant has a really cute, welcoming vibe, with outdoor tables and plenty of seating inside. They have a great selection of drinks, and I decided to try the house Arnold Palmer--made with fresh lemonade and cinnamon mint iced tea. It was unique and really refreshing. We started with a few appetizers for the table: hummus, tzatziki, and falafel balls. Everything came out quickly and was a hit. The hummus tasted incredibly fresh, the tzatziki had a nice tangy kick, and the falafel balls were perfectly crispy and flavorful. For my main, I ordered the chicken breast kabob plate, which came with two skewers, rice, tzatziki, and garlic sauce. The chicken was incredibly tender and cooked just right. Overall, a great meal with fresh, flavorful food and a relaxed atmosphere. I can definitely see why my family keeps coming back--this spot is well worth a visit.

Reviewing the menu, there were lots of yummy things to choose from but ultimately we both could not resist the Lamb shank. I'm sad I didn't take a picture of it. It was so tender and delicious. It came with perfect Basmati rice and a side of eggplant stew that was exquisite! I've never had eggplant stew and it was luscious. I dream to about it all night long. It was quiet, comfortable, music was great; songs we all know but with native instruments and flare. We had house red wine - not a big selection of alcohol, which is fine the food is and should be the star. Our sever (Sorry my old lady brain forgot his name) but the good looking bald guy(LOL) was nice and personable. It was such a great low key dining experience that just made the day even better. OK onto the service and food. Food: awesome! I haven't been to Egypt in 20 years where I experienced the great and original Koshari in Cairo. I remember it being cheap good and greasy. This was not cheap (but it is a good value!!), it was very good, and not as greasy as I remember. But that's probably a good thing! Putting the extra lime vinegar sauce on it really helps and helps me dig into that flavor that I miss- of and the crispy friend onion!!. i've only had Koshari one other time in the United States and it was in NYC, so I really love being able to have this here. I brought a large group and our food took a little while because I didn't understand the ordering or I would've ordered in advance. once our long wait was over ( we had nine people) we devoured the food! Everybody loved it whether they had Koshari or the Mac. I will also note that the impossible Koshari was an especially good deal - only$2 to add a vegan burger to the top of the koshari! they ran out of some of the drinks that we ordered and replaced them with nicer drinks. The folks were excellent, kind, and really took care of us! glad i'm not too far away- i'll be back! also, i'm not a night owl but if you are ... this is your spot!

We were able to try a wide variety of dishes, and every single one was exceptional. I have dietary restrictions (no onions or garlic), and the kitchen and staff were incredibly accommodating. They prepared separate versions of several dishes for me without hesitation, and I never felt like I was getting a lesser experience. It's rare to find a restaurant that can accommodate food sensitivities so thoughtfully while still delivering incredible flavor. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, and the service was impeccable. The staff was warm, attentive, and made our birthday celebration feel special without ever being overbearing. Everyone in our group left talking about how amazing the food was. We couldn't have asked for a better meal or a better overall experience. It ended up being a great spot. The ambiance is great and the bartender was pleasant. They have a seasonal menu, which assures me that we're going to get the freshest produce possible. We started with the Labneh & Confit Butternut Squash. It was fine, but not my favorite dish of the night. The labneh was more like Greek yogurt than cheese, which isn't a bad thing, but I would have liked a little more saltiness. The Harissa Spice Shrimp, on the other hand, was fantastic. Definitely the standout item we actually ordered. The Baked Eggplant was good too, although it didn't quite wow me. I think there was some mix up, as we were first served the Roasted Eggplant Dip. We flagged the server down to say it wasn't what we ordered, but they let us keep it. Boy were we happy about this! It was the best dish of the night (and a must reorder). The pita to go with the Labneh and the Dip was excellent too. Piping hot and just right.
