My favorite thing about Hoda's is the non-stop bread that gets brought out to the table. It is light, fluffy, and puffed up with air from being fresh out the oven. And of course it goes well with the dips and meze they serve, which are quite tasty. Their menu is decently large and has all the Lebanese hits: falafel, gyros, shawarma, kebabs, etc. They can get quite busy with large groups, as they're a great fit for families. On the night we recently dined, things were a little slow to come out from the kitchen but there was a 10+ person birthday party going on.

This used to be one of my favorite middle eastern restaurants but they are not the same now. Food is now a 3 star situation, at best. Grilled halloumi salad was good ( although it arrived almost cold which ruined the texture). The baba ghanouje and hummous was decent. Rest of the mezza was fine. Issues: With mezza for four people, we got ONE piece of (undercooked) pita total for the entire table! When we asked for a couple more pieces it took so long to arrive we had finished our mezza. ( over 20 minutes later) Service as a whole was terrible. She forgot half of our mezza and after half of an hour we asked again and she seemed put out being asked to bring the rest of it. No explanation or apology. Will I be going back? Not unless their service improves.

Amazing and yummy food as always. I have been going to Hoda's over 15+ years, there's a nice big menu for everyone (vegetarian and non vegetarian), there is a good variety for everyone to find something. The place looks nice, well lit, good ambiance, good location and awesome service.

Amazing restaurant! Make a reservation because this place does get super packed! First time trying middle eastern food and it was amazing! Everything was packed with the right amount of spice and flavor. I had the chicken kabob plate and it came with rice and hummus! The chicken was dry, but flavors were there. You guys better get the spinach pies and baklava or else. So delicious! The service was great - definitely coming back (*´`*)

You really can't go wrong with the mini dips. They were all delicious and $15 is a very reasonable price. We also got a lamb stew and some cocktails and all were delicious. Staff were also very friendly. I love this place!

Are you freaking kidding me? This is what I've been looking for the entire time. So so so good! Family owned so polite and courteous and attentive. The food was phenomenal. You can tell it is made from scratch. Super cute. I definitely will be going here again. As an Armenian the food is very close to home. I've been looking everywhere for a place where they have baked bread and pies and I found it here. 10 out of 10

Pretty standard middle eastern menu, & they use good quality beef & lamb. They have lots of large feasts/sampler platters that are great for large groups. Great gyros and amazing lamb shank. The taters served w/ the gyros are like cubed breakfast style potatoes w/ some feta & cilantro. Their on the house pita is light and airy served w/ a bit of olive oil dip. Clean & bright interior, Friendly service.

    Goodness!!!

Well, as someone from Dearborn, Michigan, where there is plentiful Lebanese food because there's many Lebanese immigrants there, I will say this, this food is absolute fire!! Well done! Best Kafka I have ever had. Perfect Humus, perfect food loved it. If you don't love this food you do not know Lebanese food!!!

I love this restaurant with all my heart and my family and i have been going to Hoda's every time we are in town for nearly a decade now. and have never had a problem. Our experience there last night was an odd one, and unfortunately has put us off of making it a destination on our trips again. Our waitress was a sweetheart, and nothing was her fault and she was slowed down by the kitchen. Menu has changed, and service was slow were the first things we noted right away. Bread came cold and when asked for hot bread it was clearly older bread that had been warmed up. They used to make the bread fresh all the time. ALWAYS HOT. We ordered labneh as an appetizer and it came over half an hour later. Mind you it is just a cold yogurt dish. Thin layer of it on the plate when it arrived. The tabbouleh was also fluffed in the bowl with unnecessary lettuce leaves to make it look fuller. One of the owners son's I have known to be in the restaurant was eating in the open kitchen space while also moving food for customers around. Again another thing I would have NEVER seen before at this establishment. Food arrived not all at one time. Food was interesting. My food came out first and then every 10-15 minutes another dish would come out. We stopped waiting to eat together and had to eat separately as our food would get cold otherwise. My mother got falafel and it was clearly not homemade like all the times before, tasted good though. My brother and Father got kebobs, a lot of oil on the plate. Tasted fine otherwise but not the flavor we loved and remember being. The rice I don't think was saffron or even basmanti rice as far as I can tell. I am aware restaurants go under change! This is just my opinion! We also haven't been to Hoda's in almost a year since last time so maybe we caught them on an off day. And service was very nice but not enough service people for the amount of tables, a little slow. I am saying all this because I have loved this place for a while and I know what it can be. Just minor fixes thats all.

The flavors of the meat were very tasty. We ordered the kibbeh for an appetizer, not much flavor, would skip that. The pita bread and dip they bring out was great. It seemed undercooked, but it was so soft and chewy. Loved it. I had a meat platter. I usually don't like lamb, but this was great. It was busy so service was a bit slow. It is noisy, and cramped.

Things I ordered Pita bread - was extremely dry, leathery, un-chewable. Must have been stale. Dip mezza - hummus not smooth, no flavor, Lebneh was ok, baba ghanoush almost tasted of artificial smoke flavoring. Shatta - absolutely not shatta. It was oil with chopped herbs that has definitely gone bad. Again absolutely no flavor. Paid $5 for a tiny to go condiment cup of it! What a rip off. Falafel - meh. Lamp gyro - fiance thought it was ok, but also, very bland. There are so many good middle Eastern restaurants I will definitely never order from this restaurant again. Seven-spice chicken, crunchy toum-dressed slaw, and a double hit of that garlicky toum. Topped with a pile of fries, just like on the beaches of Beirut. Let's get some bite into it. But even before that you can smell what will hit you next a delicious taste of garlicky sauce. And the first bite confirmed that. A not-too-overpowering garlic taste, followed by the crunchy pickle the salty fries and the delicious chicken patty, makes it an outstanding burger with a really unique flavor profile! Well done. The crunchy fresh Cole slaw give it another layer of freshness. The hole burger is a smart composition. If I'll have to recommend something to. Ale or even better would be to put the slaw on top of the meat. With it being on the bottom half of the bun it makes the bun quickly early soggy but that's is or taking away anything from how awesome the burger is taste wise. We ordered the mezza plate and the kabob plate (lamb and kafta aka beef skewers) and both were very satisfying. My only wish is that the hummus and the baba ghanouj were a little less acidic but that may just be due to the fact that I may have heart burn . I am not all too familiar with Lebanese cuisine so it was a delight to experience it. I was surprised by the thin pita! Tips for next time, both plates come with hummus so unless you love hummus, maybe skip on the mezza and order things à la carte. Would love to come back to try the lemon chicken meals! Reviewing the menu, there were lots of yummy things to choose from but ultimately we both could not resist the Lamb shank. I'm sad I didn't take a picture of it. It was so tender and delicious. It came with perfect Basmati rice and a side of eggplant stew that was exquisite! I've never had eggplant stew and it was luscious. I dream to about it all night long. It was quiet, comfortable, music was great; songs we all know but with native instruments and flare. My first impression as we entered here was: the AC was on, and I'm not ready for AC (yet), and the inside was too elegant, and empty. We waited awhile, when a staff appeared. We picked a seat outside, where the weather was pleasant and shady. I needed badly, to use the restroom, so I went back inside, only to be told it's outside. The mural on the walls, obscured the door to the restroom. But, there was no TP, no paper towel, and the trash was full. I had to use a toilet cover paper, for my TP, and went back to my seat, not happy with what I just did! I told my husband, who then told the staff, because HE need to use the restroom, too. (We've been gone all morning, this is now lunch hour). The staff gave water, menu and we ordered: The Lamb Shank. I love the eggplant stew! There's also a small salad with the Basmati rice. Also Chicken Kabob Mezza Platter with Pita bread. It was not until we're done eating, and ready to get up, did I notice there was cubed cucumber in the thaziki. But, it's got a very strong vinegar flavor, but I did like the hummus and the ghanoush. (When we eat at these places, we always pick the lamb shanks, btw). I had the other half, for my dinner tonight. The server was friendly, helpful and responsive. The atmosphere, was pleasant, and the photo taken of me, hubby thought I could pass as an Iraqi woman! LOL Thanks for the bag. We picked some crabapples, from down the street, there were 4-5 large trees ready for the pickin' from the sidewalk.
